April 22: Ethereum improvement proposal (EIP) 1011, known as Hybrid Casper FFG (short for "Friendly Finality Gadget"), would implement the first step in a long-planned shift away from the energy-intensive mining process and toward an allegedly greener method sometimes called "minting. This involves moving away from a "proof of work" model to a "proof of stake" model.
April 26: Parity Technologies issued a statement Thursday stating it has no plans to move forward with a code change that would result in an ethereum -5.74% blockchain split.
May 1: Vitalik Releases Partial Proof-of-Concept for Ethereum -5.74% 'Sharding' Tech. This will assist with resolving Ethereum's scaling issue.
June 14: ItBit Exchange ffer custody, escrow and over-the-counter (OTC) trading services for ethereum (ETH) with platform exchange trading to follow. It is the ery first company to be granted a charter under the New York Banking Law by the NYDFS as a licensed cryptocurrency exchange.
June 15: SEC's official confirmed that Ethereum is not a security causing prices of Ethereum to surge.
