The deal was approved by the Kazakhstani government, without benefiting the country. Neither Kazakhstan nor Kazakhstani companies received any money from the sale of the Budenovskoye. A scandal is brewing in Kazakhstan. Investing in Kazatomprom seems like a bad idea.
