$SMSN.L (Samsung Electronics Co Ltd) has announced a 240 trillion Korean Won (roughly $205 billion) expansion in diversified divisions over the next three years, including chipmaking, biopharmaceuticals, and telecommunications units. It intends to enhance its global presence and lean in new industries such as next-generation telecommunications and robotics.
Samsung Electronics plans to develop advanced process technology and expand the business with artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers for its system semiconductors while focusing on up-to-date technology. Last May, the company announced it would invest $151 billion in its logic chip and foundry sector to be the top logic chip maker by 2030.
