I am long RJA for all of the reasons on the chart I posted - mistakenly posted as a chart for Apple. My error.
Jim Rogers book "Hot Commodities" has an interesting statement on commodities. To paraphrase"It is as if every 18 years God decides to love stocks and hate commodities and 18 years later reverses that opinion."
My take is simple. Inflation devalues monetary assets.
It is the same house 40 years on and by extension the same treasury debt - paid for with devalued dollars. Commodity prices are rising genuinely across the board. Time to own the commodities directly or at least the ETF representing a basket of commodities, commodity companies or a tleast the countries producing commodities.
The chart is the trend.
I own the common and sell the calls.
Inflation devalues monetary assets and by extension favors the leveraged real estate operator and the commodity producers.
