Tesla's company has reached its maximum figures since the split of its shares. But today there was news that could negatively affect the price of the company's shares. Tesla is recalling about 9,500 Model X and Y vehicles due to possible roof and bolt problems, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Wednesday. The larger batch of recalled vehicles covers 9,136 2016 Tesla X vehicles that may have roof fragments detached while driving, NHTSA said. Tesla said in filings that it had learned of an incident involving the 2016 Model X in September, prompting the company to investigate the root cause and frequency of the potentially dangerous problem. Another batch being recalled consists of 401 2020 Model Y vehicles that may not have been properly bolted. Tesla said the vehicles will be tested and the problems will be fixed if necessary. The company added that it was unaware of any accidents or injuries associated with the failure of these vehicles.
