Under selling pressure, precious metals went down

Updated
World gold price today listed on Kitco at 1,915 USD/ounce, down 10 USD/ounce compared to early morning.

The world gold price fell today due to selling pressure from investors.

Gold traders feel the pinch as US bond yields rise. However, buyers are still willing to enter the market below $1,900 an ounce in the hope that US bond yields have peaked.

The Fed is not yet over on its austerity route and gold could have a hard time paying interest continuing to move higher.

Looking at the long term, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) could raise interest rates to 6% in 2023 and gold could hit $10,000 an ounce in 2025.
