Volatility in gold led to declines
Correspondents in Israel have learned that Israeli officials have revealed that Israel's response to an Iranian attack has been "pegged". On Monday, a day after Bloomberg reported that Hezbollah breached Israeli air defenses and landed near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's private home, Netanyahu held a series of meetings with top security officials to discuss next steps against Iran. Hizbullah's attack on Mr Netanyahu's seaside villa north of Tel Aviv on October 19th shocked many Israelis. Although neither Netanyahu nor his wife was home at the time and no one was injured in the attack, Netanyahu and his cabinet ministers said it was another reason for Israel to retaliate against Iran. Gold's rally remained intact.
