Zephyr Minerals (ZFR) on Monday (Jul 05, 2021)said it is seeking regulatory permission to build a mine at its Dawson Gold Deposit in Colorado.
The company said it applied to the state's Department of Reclamation and Mine Safety to build an underground mine, mill and dry stack tailings facility on the property.
Zephyr said in October it would concentrate on getting the Dawson mine permitted.
"Given the proposed mine is entirely on private lands and with a very small environmental footprint, and the potential economic benefits to the community, we are optimistic on being successful with the application. In this event, it will be an important milestone for Zephyr, enabling the next step in the development of the Dawson gold deposit," chief executive Loren Komperdo said in a release.
