Making your first million is the hardestAfter that, it's leverage.
The issue for me as a long-time trader, is people these days don't seem to have time, patience or the ability to absorb information.
They read an article or watch a few seconds of a stream and assume they know!
I am not just talking crypto, I mean in general. The attention span of a fish.
I read a pretty decent article by this guy @holeyprofit
He talked about Bitcoin Mania with a lot of truth, most people won't want to hear.
Article here
The issue is the whole market right now are currently hinging on or near their all-time highs, Gold, Bitcoin, SPX (S&P500) stocks such as Meta, NVIDIA and loads of others.
Instead of shouting for even greater highs, the question should be "what is sustaining the rally?"
For the majority of retail traders, they assume it's different this time. Gamestop was up until it was not.
The issue is that they never learn. They have no concept of time factors and the assumption that markets only ever go up is the very reason the majority of traders stay broke.
Crypto is a really interesting space, when I first got involved in 2011, it was a punt. I got lucky, but buying cheap and selling high is what most people strive for. Yet, reading posts and social media content - nobody sells, they all buy low, stacking sats when the price drops. So where is the profit? Well paper gains I assume.
Game stop...
Not to focus on Crypto; the markets as a whole can be profitable and just like Kenny Rogers said - "if you're going to play the game boy, you got to learn to play it right. know when to hold, know when to fold, know when to walk away and know when to run"
Every hand's a winner - every hand's a loser.
Key message there!!!
Trading vs investments - if you are looking to make it big on one deal, that's different than profiting from the market every week, every month and every year.
Risk management is key, scaling your account, cutting losers quickly and adding to winners. Many won't understand this concept. Markets go up and everyone is a genius in a bull market.
Once you start scaling an account, the trade percentages in terms of rewards you seek don't matter the same. You don't need 10x returns on your thousand dollars.
A 3% win on your million-dollar account is a different game.
Back in 2021; I wrote this educational post about the psychology of the markets. I used the Simpsons as a way to get the message over.
Markets breathe and the rise and fall, rise and fall.
Once you realise you can take from the market consistently, you will see the stress disappear, and the care of price up or down matters less. Your investment criteria changes and the scope gets wider. This is how you scale from that first million, into the second and third. Not having all eggs in one basket and hope it goes up forever.
What if gold drops 10% and you are long? can you afford a 5 year spell on the investment you have? These are the kinds of questions you need to be asking yourself.
What if Bitcoin's halving is a buy the rumour, sell the news and we take another 3 years to get back to a new ATH?
"ah it's different this time" - yeah I heard all that in 2021 when certain influencers were calling for $135,000 worse case within a month. We are 2024 and still roughly half of the way to 135k??
I know for you guys who want to learn and progress you would have read this far; for those who "already know" they have stopped reading about 4 lines in and seeing a picture or 2. They leave a comment due to their keyboard warrior mindset and fish-like capacity for thinking.
The point is to ensure you deploy proper risk management, especially here near the tops of a lot of these markets, trail your stop losses, and don't forget to cash out your profits. Paper gains can quickly become paper losses. If you're serious about money making, be prepared to diversify, be prepared to sit on your hands, keep cash in your pocket as well as be prepared to take calculated risks.

XAG/USD EVERY SUNDAY LIVE ZOOM ANALYSISThe gold & silver market is pushing significantly higher, following a significant miss in the U.S. labor market with fewer jobs created in August.
Friday, the U.S. Labor Department said that 235,000 jobs were created last month. The data was weaker than expected as consensus forecasts called for jobs gains of 720,000.
While the headline data saw a significant miss, the Labor Department included substantial revisions to its June and July numbers. June's employment numbers were revised up by 24,000 to 962,000 from the previous estimate of 938,000. Meanwhile, July's data was revised up to 1.053 million jobs compared to the initial estimate of 943,000.
However, some economists note that the strong revisions are not enough to take the full sting out of the disappointing headline numbers.
Meanwhile, the U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 5.2%, down from July's reading of 5.4%. The unemployment rate fell in line with expectations.
The gold market has broken through critical near-term support levels in initial reaction to the weaker-than-expected employment data. December gold futures last traded at $1,827.10, up nearly 1% on the day.
Not only was job growth weaker last month, but positive for gold, wage inflation continues to creep higher. The report said that wages rose 0.6% in August, up from July's 0.4% increase. Economists were expecting to see a 0.3% increase.
A lot of focus had been placed on the August employment numbers. Many Federal Reserve officials noted that a strong number could prompt them to launch their plans to reduce their monthly bond purchases. However, some economists say the disappointing data could force the central bank to delay those plans.
"This disappointing report will make it a closer call than we expected for a September tapering announcement from the Fed," said Katherine Judge, senior economist at CIBC.
Paul Ashworth, chief U.S. economist at Capital Economics, said that the latest employment numbers puts the Federal Reserve in a very difficult position. He noted that the economic data shows the COVID-19 pandemic and the spreading Delta Variant is impacting the current recovery.
“Even allowing for the fact that first estimates for August often disappoint on the downside, the extent of the slowdown in jobs growth all-but rules out any tapering announcement at this month's FOMC meeting and, if this weakness persists, then it could be pushed into early next year.

Orderzones Explained : A form of Support & ResistanceHello traders!
In this educational idea im going to be going over the 5 different main types of Order Zones on Crypto Charts & how i identify and draw these zones, aswell as what they are used for.
Orderzones are a way of marking on the chart historically significant areas where price had strong reactions to.
The price tends to come back to these areas and have strong reactions, the Order Zones act as a form of Support & Resistance.
For those who are new to Technical Analysis ; "Support" is a area on the chart price and demand (buying pressure) increases from, with "Resistance" being the opposite, with price decreasing and sell orders (Supply of asset) increasing from the latter.
Why do i use Order Zones?
-Reduces risk & increases probability of potential trades
-Trying to trade with; not against larger size traders such as institutions that use similar price levels due to historic signifcance
-Providing clear entry and exit points to calculate Risk:Reward Ratio (R:R)
-Providing reference points to capitalize on historical areas of market volatility
-Allows us to reduce clutter and find key areas as the volatility on Crypto makes it difficult to chart
We have 5 main types:
-Supply Clusters
-Demand Clusters
-Single Candle Supply
-Single Candle Demand
-Orderblocks
Supply Clusters & Demand Clusters
First we must find areas on the chart that look similar to a tightly squeezed together rectangle . Price should then make a "thrust" (major increase, or decrease in value) from this rectangular area. We use the Rectangle Tool to draw a zone across these areas.
In the below image you can click for a in depth explanation of how to use these clusters in your trades.
Single Candle Supply & Single Candle Demand
To draw and identify the Zones first we must find areas on the chart where a strong reversal occurs, at the start of the trend reversal, or at swing points we can find larger then normal "wicks": (wicks are the thin, needle points at the end of the candlesticks ) as you can see in the above and below images.)
Click the below image for a in depth explanation of how to use these zones in your trades.
Orderblocks
Orderblocks are the small square shaped candle bodies, usually found in between significant price moments. They are small "pauses" before the next move. We use the Rectangle Tool to draw a zone across these areas.
In the below image you can click for a in depth explanation of how to use Orderblocks in your trades.
If you take some time to go back over your charts (especially on the Monthly, Weekly & Daily timeframes) and test out some of these Order Zones, you will see more then often price comes back to these areas before reversing like a magnet towards the next closest Order Zone so they become a useful tool in any traders arsenal.
If you found the idea informative show your support by Liking & Commenting thank you!
Why Should We Say OUT OF FOREX and Same Stuff !When we look at the chart.
We expect a strong rally or fall because of the price action.
Price in the same areas so bollinger bands are squeezing.
But !!!
Look at the chart 17 YEARS LONGGGGGGG Same price action. No move. God.
Life time and price is same..
So Stay away from forex and other leveraged and date expiry stuff.
IF you wanna buy something. Buy it. Not forex. Because you buy it and have it put in a safe... Forex stuff will be in fire in a time later and you lose everything. Buy it like bar coin 1 kg sillver bar like that. Buy it put in your house. Do not burn your money.
Good LUCK..
