TAN ETF Investing for the FutureThis post intends to explain the fundamental analysis of why an ETF like TAN is a great investment for the future.
First we start to produce energy with wood, followed with coal that has great energy density but produces lots of pollutants, then we started to use oil, and since then we have become addicted to oil, but this addiction is not sustainable for the future.
We are about to reach Peak Oil in the coming years. Oil will become more expensive and we will need another source of energy to move our global economy, but also protect our planet while doing so, and solar energy can do this. Not nuclear, not eolic, not hydrogen fuel, but solar energy.
Nuclear power while very efficient and "clean", is risky, and nuclear waste if not handled correctly can do a lot of damage. Fukushima Power Plant is an example.
Eolic energy is a good alternative, but winds are not constant and this makes electricity production intermittent. Definitely we will complement our energy consumption in the future with eolic energy, but in a small percentage.
Hydrogen fuel, is a terrible thing to have to store and transport. Swapping petroleum for hydrogen would require pressurized fuel tanks, tankers and gas stations and all the incumbent costs, engineering and safety issues, definitely not the fuel of the future.
Then there is Solar energy.
It's an astonishing fact that capturing all the energy in just one hour's worth of sunlight would enable us to meet the planet's food and energy needs for an entire year. The solar revolution is coming. Solar is now the cheapest form of electricity .
The chart does not matter.
Solar is the future.

JKS - too good to be trueAfter recommending NYSE:JKS for long term purchase last November, idea went trully ballistic in recent months making around +500% since the time of recommendation.
Despite such price increase, company still does not seem particularly expensive (it was a bargain in low teens) and high purchasing volume also hints that trend higher may continue for years to come.
However, short term wise, JKS is clearly very overbought, and decent correction may ensue shortly. looking for spots to take some profits off the table should be priority strategy in the upcoming weeks.
SPWR Earnings Slightly Better Than Expected: Plotting a Re-entrySun Power spent a solid month between 9.5 and 10.5 per share (The first "idea" of mine was dated July 15th calling for the potential LONG on it).
It closed today at 11.5 and then reported earnings which were slightly (decently even) less negative than the projections yielded. That said, its bull run should be somewhat tempered by a negative report even so. A good re-entry point is near the top end of its corrective wave - targetting a 10.5 to 10.7 re-entry. SPWR is trading at its annual high; a recapturing of its former glory at 16+ per share is not inconceivable, though had the earnings report trended closer to a break-even this would be even more of a "must buy."
The average cost was 9.51 before a re-positioning (now) which has not really worked out so brilliantly, but a FOMO buy must be avoided and the proper call is to wait for a slight recoil, at least under the previous high-end of the corrective wave sequence seen in the Handle. Thus, we remain bullish, but hardly obnoxiously so -- if I had a TV Show I probably wouldn't be a screaming "BUY NOW" but I would absolutely keep an eye on SPWR the remainder of the trading week with the re-entry points mentioned highlighted as alerts.
Thanks.
SunPower Golden Cross on weekly Chanel#Sunpower the price went downwards crossing 50day MA under 200days MA on weekly chart in May,2016.
Now after four years of downward trend it is breaking upwards 50d MA crossing 200d MA.
With the new hype of sustainable energy and Tesla. The price may go higher.

BUY BUY BUY!!! SolarEdge [SEDG]To my mind - SEDG the best solar company for now!
Very cheap stocks to buy.
However maybe it will plunge more due to low oil prices impact on the whole solar energy sector, but it does not matter me. I will buy at any lows it hits from now.
Be cautios, the stocks is volatile! Don't put all your eggs in one basket!
FSLR: buy opportunityThe future belongs to stocks related to the climate theme.. here is one them: First Solar.
It is involved in designing, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of photovoltaic solar power systems and solar modules.
Joining bulls around 52.9 price level with 49.1 S/L and 65.3 T/P level provides decent R:R (3.26).

BUY First Solar Now (~$50)Big future awaits solar energy, so everyone understands this and therefore investors won't give up on this stock.
Long-term growth perspective is huge.
Thus, you can buy the stock now at it's lows and hold it untill the good times.Don't track it everyday, save your nerves. FSLR may at least double it's current price.
But you can take advantage of the future growth in short term trade:
Buy @ +-$50
Short stop @ $49
Take @ ~$59
Be aware, that there is a high probability to trigger your stop due to the coronavirus fears and economic or polytic impact, but still it worth it.
Have a good luck!
JKS - time to take some profits?Since recommendation in November NYSE:JKS is +40%, and is now appraoching major resistance region. Therefore, it is wise to take some profits, with idea to reload after some period of consolidation.
Overall, chart is very constructive and healthy pullback with potential inverted H&S should build strength for much higher levels in the years to come.
JKS - bright future for solar ahead? With ongoing worldwide trends towards clean energy, there is good potential for solar sector to shine in the years ahead.
After rather significant selloff recently some ideas are trying to put a bottom finally, and NYSE:JKS is one of them.
Good earnings released today and breakout through neckline of inverse H&S provide initial signs of reversal.
I entered position on breakout today, and plan to hold as one of core holdings for next year, with some short-term trading in and out.
Azure looking long first target 11%Strong earnings, PPA's signed with a further commitment of 1.5/GW. 2019 net profit was over USD 2 Billion with net earnings attritbutable to equity share holders was over USD 1.1 billion. A combined portfolio of over 3.5 GW; therefore earnings will be accelerated.
Long Call Option on Solar EnergyI recently wrote a post on STRI on my investment blog, which you can check out here: rockvuecapital.wordpress.com
The company is trading at ridiculous discounts to various metrics including book value, NCAV, net cash, sales, and it has an EV to EBITDA of 0.92, better than 100% of all companies in its industry.
I like the price point of $0.36 to enter on the long side.
Please let me know your thoughts.
