Xypher Long/Short Finder (PSAR)Looks for longs and shorts on downtrends and uptrends, using EMAs to define the trend and PSAR to look for entries.
You can deactivate up/down trend longs/shorts on the settings according to your needs. My favorite setup is to find bottoms/tops with it:
Use uptrend shorts if you are looking to short at the top.
Use downtrend longs if you are looking to go long on the bottom reversal.
Basic setup: ride the waves by looking for longs on uptrends and shorts on downtrends.
Scalping setup: find an asset uptrending on a big timeframe (daily, weekly), and look for longs on both up/downtrends on smaller timeframes.
Ichimoku cloud was added to help further with the search of supports and resistance, along with 50,100 and 200 EMA.
Candles are colored according to the trend, to view it, hover the mouse over the indicator or bring it to the front (Right Click -> Visual Order -> Bring to Front). Description is on the chart

MTF Bitfinex Longs vs. Shorts Support/Resistance [checkm8]Hello and welcome to my multi-timeframe support and resistance indicator based on margin longs and shorts on Bitfinex :D
The premise of the script is simple. It draws support and resistance levels based on large margin movements ( effectively showing the break-even points of those positions ), where:
Longs opening and shorts closing is bullish pressure
Longs closing and shorts opening is bearish pressure
You can select your desired timeframe for the script to show the levels on. The script draws two sets of lines, one based on medium-sized movements and another based on large movements, where you can also manually input the size of the movements for it to track. By default, the script is optimized for 1-hour timeframes on BTCUSD, where the medium sized movements are set to bullish/bearish pressures of over 500 BTC, and large movements based on pressures of over 1000 BTC.
If you choose to use a different currency pair (ex. LTCUSD, ETCUSD, EOSUSD, etc..) you must adjust the volume that the script tracks , as tracking something like a 500 margin long in XRPUSD is useless. This also applies to timeframes , as timeframes lower than 1 hour may require smaller input values, while larger timeframes will require larger movements.
In addition, there is an input for the source. I recommend leaving this setting at hlc3 , because this will capture a more appropriate break-even points for the S/R levels.
A few tips:
If the current price is under a bullish support/resistance level , this implies that the bullish margin positions are underwater (the price is below their long break-evens), ie. shorts closed at the top or longs were entered at the top
If the current price is above a bullish support/resistance level , this implies that the bullish margin positions are in profit and will act as support (they will support their long break-even points)
If the current price is under a bearish support/resistance level , this implies that the bearish margin positions are in profit and will act as resistance (the price is below their short break-evens)
If the current price is above a bearish support/resistance level , this implies that the bearish margin positions are underwater (the price is above their short break-evens), ie. shorts entered at the bottom or longs were closed at the bottom

You can also change the background colour, and adjust the 70% and 30% lines to suit.

Universal Longs Vs. Shorts - Ratio (Any Symbol)Hello again all my Trading View friends!
This script is a variation of my other script "Universal Longs Vs. Shorts - Percentage (Any Symbol)"
It allows you to choose ANY symbol and plot the ratio against ANY other symbol, as an indicator on your given pair. It is primarily used as an indicator of longs/shorts as well as shorts/longs as a ratio to each other.
For example, you could plot BITFINEX:BTCUSDLONGS against BITFINEX:BTCUSDSHORTS.
It plots the ratio of longs/shorts or shorts/longs. For example:
If there are more longs than shorts open, the long ratio will be great than 1 with no upper limit.
If there are less longs than shorts open, the ratio will be less than 1 but greater than 0.
The same is true when comparing shorts to longs. You can choose to view Longs Ratio only, Shorts Ratio only, or Both.
This is useful to see how many more longs there are than shorts, and visa versa, at any given time interval. It does not take into consideration total volume of longs + shorts to get an absolute number, but rather a relative ratio to each other.
If there are many more positions open in one direction over the other, the ratio will rise higher and higher away from 1, which lets you know generally that there is a lot greater volume of that position open compared to its reverse.

Universal Longs Vs. Shorts - Percentage (Any Symbol)Hello all my Trading View friends!!
This script allows you to choose ANY symbol and plot the ratio against ANY other symbol, as an indicator on your given pair. It is primarily used as an indicator of longs/shorts as well as shorts/longs as a percentage of total longs + shorts.
For example, you could plot BITFINEX:BTCUSDLONGS against BITFINEX:BTCUSDSHORTS.
It takes the ratio from an absolute 100%, rather than relative to each other. Therefore, each plot has a minimum of 0% and a maximum of 100%. You can choose to view Longs Percentage only, Shorts Percentage only, or Both.
This is useful to see what percentage of total positions are either long or short at any given time interval.

The original doesnt scale well on larger time frames due to the massive amount of longs and shorts we currently have. I am also experimenting with some other methods to better scale the data. Regardless, the delta chart with candle tops is an extremely important and useful tool.

Bitfinex Longs vs Shorts v1.0
Created by Nico Muselle - 2018
This script uses the number of margin trades on Bitfinex exchange
and substracts the shorts from the longs to give a net result. The number represents the NET number of coins margin traded.
Consequently, a positive number means that there are more long trades than shorts, a negative number means there are more short trades.
The smooth option uses the 3-period SMA.
