LYB entering long term support and buy zoneSo I just opened a long position here on LYB based on fundamentals and long term technicals. From a fundamental perspective, the company has the second highest forward dividend yield of any S&P 500 materials company (5.76%), the second lowest trailing P/E ratio (7.65), and a reasonably low total debt to total asset ratio (65.15%). NASDAQ.com's earnings forecast also predicts 19% annual EPS growth for 2020, 2021, and 2022. It's rare to find a company predicted to grow like that trading at that low of a P/E ratio, that high of a yield, and a clean balance sheet.
Looking at the monthly chart, you can see that the stock is hitting an area where it has bounced 4 times in the last 4-5 years. Less importantly, you can also see that the stock is right around something of an uptrend line that could potentially offer support as well. I would be a buyer in between the two horizontal lines, but stay away and and sell if you're more of a trader than investor if price goes below that.
LYB/N trade ideas
$LYB Iron Condor OpportunityImplied volatility is falling in this stock as it nears the more or less average price of around 86 per share over the previous 6 months. I think the price might stay in that range after it's recent moves over April and May. JUL19 75/80/90/95 Iron Condor is attractively priced, and is a better play than just the short Strangle or Straddle given the margin requirements.
$LYB Unusual options activity,Share repurchase, Dividend Hike.Quite an eventful week for NYSE:LYB with some notable changes for investors to stew over. The CFO has announced his retirement, a dividend hike is implemented and a share repurchase programme of up to 10% of the company's shares. The company like all among the sector has really struggled of late to find any positive price action with the global trade issues and the correlation to oil's tumble. The options market however indicates a sizeable positive move in the stock. The stock is trading at a ridiculous 6.8 P/E but wait for the selling to abate and indicators to turn positive.
AVERAGE ANALYSTS ESTIMATE $104
AVERAGE ANALYSTS RECOMMENDATION OVERWEIGHT

Bullish LYB Range Bound BreakoutLYB is about to break out of its range its been bouncing between this $84-90 range since Jan 4th.
It's about to break out. Price target is $96.
Call Option April 12th EXP, Strike $90.
Possibility of a false breakout. Contract will be sold if it reaches $88.
Otherwise aiming for target of $96.
Possible interference from the SPY as it may cancel the rally if the SPY sells off.
LYB may get my vote for best buy everThis could be a harmonic bullish Gartley pattern forming. This stock is super solid and could pull off a bullish blast with no-problem. I would assume that it will not fulfill the pattern because it already trades at a discount relative to it's peers, but buying in down through the 90s would be amazing. When both aroons are heading through 50, this one may skyrocket.https://www.tradingview.com/x/uES4GjpU/
its piotroski f-score is 8
LYB - A Cyclical LongLYB
Jul-Aug tends to be a reliably bullish month for LYB. LYB is in a multi-year sideways trend, but the trends in-between this range has considerable range. It has embarked on a short term uptrend, which coincides with the cyclical performance of LYB. It has cleared the fib retracement level of 61.8% and the next level to test will be 78.6%.
Chasing the price would be unwise, preferably should wait for a pullback to 20EMA before consider the long swing for LYB. Next resistance around $92.
LYB - Consider $90 March Puts & target is $72We discussed it in the beginning of December in the Xmas wishlist class, and discussed aggressive entry was $92 area & $90 March Puts, the puts should be in nicely in-the money by now.
we still like the $90 March Puts (currently $7.20), however updating stoploss to $92.13 to give a little bit of room & target is $72.

LYB - Short from current position to 30 areaLYB breaking down from a head & shoulder formation in short term & it has lot of insider selling from key investor. In long term it formed a descending triangle.
Now it had its earning released today & in reaction it did decline a bit, so we think it will decline breaking the triangle formation.
To trade LYB we would consider $80 March Puts (6.2)

Lyondellbasell is heading lower to major supportFundamentals :
LyondellBasell Industries N.V. operates as a manufacturer of chemicals and polymers, refiner of crude oil, producer of gasoline blending components, and developer and licensor of technologies for production of polymers.
The Gulf Coast petrochemical boom and Chinese expansion are leading to an oversupply of the world’s two most common plastics, polyethylene and polypropylene, which will result in falling prices and profits as well as delays and cancellations of plans to build or expand petrochemical plants. LyondellBasell have multi-billion-dollar Gulf coast expansion projects underway, with many planned for completion in a year or so.
Technicals :
Major pattern is descending triangle, series of lower highs tell us about weakness. Price ignored recent rally on market and now is flagging below all key moving averages. Looks like it is heading for a test of major support at $72. Break and hold below can squeez some longs for further downside movement.
Trade and Risk Management:
Break and close below $80 will trigger entry Short with Stop above $85. Target is twice further than size of our stop, which make this trade very attractive.
WYCKOFF RE-ACCUMULATION, COULD BE A HUGE LONG ON LYB FOR 2015I found this stock on a scan for short trades, ironic. At first look everything looks good for a continuation short trade after the gap down on 1/14/15, but on 2nd look the gap down now looks like a classic exhaustion gap. It looks like any short now is a bear trap. We have a tight trading range, a strong uptrend before this correction, this looks like classic Wyckoff re-accumulation. Look at the insane divergence between OBV and price. Price continues to move down but is absorbed by all these buyers, this has to be "smart money" accumulating on fear. This is textbook Wyckoff. No entry right now, but once this stock flushes out the weak demand by running the lows (forcing the stops to trigger) I think this stock blasts off, probably to new highs over the next year. However, this stock could be weeks/months away from an entry, but it is so good that I wanted to share this so that others could add it to their watchlists for 2015. I'm looking at 1/2016 - 1/2017 LEAP's.
