Square $SQ is back! The price of NYSE:SQ is back above its 50 day MA and going for the breakout. I had this stock before the correction and got a really good profit, I think I can do it again. The thing I like the most is that is clearly a market leader. I wanted to compare NYSE:SQ with its real peers, so, AMEX:ARKF is the perfect ETF to do it. The quotinet shows I good relative strength for Square. The stock is rank #1 by IBD in its industry and has an IBD relative strength greater than 90 points. And better so, is #2 top holding of AMEX:ARKK . This are all bullish signs for me. Longby dpuleo199
SQuare Off?Last few weeks, looks like Square (SQ) is developing a descending triangle, which means it could be ready for a dip. Is this a short dip kind of thing, or a bull flag-in-progress? Or is it just moving about with the NASDAQ "wind"? Can't tell, wish I knew. I'm long in SQ but currently underwater, and trying to figure out if I should take the loss and bail or hold and ride out the near-term. I'm generally bullish on SQ based on fundamentals and business, but not sure what horizon that will operate on, and if it's poised for a selloff, might be better to dump and buy back on the rebound... Decisions, decisions...by dotdotdotpaulUpdated 445
SqWatching this beast today. Been consolidating on support around 230 like a boss. Looking for a break and confirmation above 235.21. If we can get that we could be heading to 250 target by Erictaylor3

SQ looking set to fall tomorrowUsing both a schiff pitchfork and (more importantly) trend line, it seems SQ looks set to fall tomorrow to continue its “larger” wedge pattern formationShortby r_newcomb331

SQ Creating Wave 4 Low Soon - Wave 5 Coming SoonIt appears that SQ is putting in Wave 4 low. Soon Wave 5 will be in play. On the bearish side - SQ has a very large Head and Shoulders formation that I don't think will play out to the expected move. Tech has been selling off lately and probably will for the near term. But soon people will begin going back into Tech and Growth, seeing the drops as great value plays. A typical Wave 4 pullback is 38.2% of Wave 3 which would put the turnaround at around 190. Head and ShouldersPattern is not valid until neckline (NL) is broken in a downtrend. The neckline is support until it is broken. I saw that J. Dorsey sold a bunch of shares a few days ago and decided to take a look. It is not always the best idea to buy the dip. Often a good idea to look at the whole picture. We all trade in a different style. A day trader would look at this differently than a swing trader or someone investing long term. If it does break the neckline, there will be rallies up. There are folks stuck up there in financial pain who will sell every rally to relieve the pain they are in. And it has not broken the neckline with a downtrend. There has been one piercing by a candle tail. Not a recommendation by lauraleaUpdated 5
SQ, Head & Shoulders?SQ has flashed a rather completed head and shoulders pattern. Should price gaps down below 200, in the next few months it could goes to 143 by price projection i could be wrong Kindly do your own D.D.Shortby jangseohee114
SQ is Bouncing SupportSQ just hit support and did not cross down. The volume is at 10 mil right now which is more than the 8 mil average. This is a good sign on top of the support line. This stock will most likely run up 10-23% shortly.Longby MindOverMarket10
An Investment Masterclass, Part 1.Error: at 8:36 I say "earn about 15x it's net income." I meant to say that companies are generally WORTH about 15x their net income, on average. ONE THING I DIDN'T TALK ABOUT CLEARLY ENOUGH - when it comes to figuring out how much you are paying for the "box" you are interested in, it's MOST useful to compare the p/e multiple you are paying vs the multiple the stock has traded at over the last several years. If you think you are getting a good price and the fundamentals of a company remain strong, then you just might be getting a great deal. It's also important to compare a company to its peers in order to get a better context for the market and what an industry's multiple is. You can find this historical multiple chart by adding "price to earnings ratio" to your chart here on TradingView. It's in the "financials" tab - you will need to zoom out on a daily or weekly chart to get a grasp of how much you are paying for earnings at the current moment as opposed to in the past. I also didn't really address how to sell an investment. This is probably the trickiest bit. I work off of an "opportunity cost" framework. If something has run it's course and you estimate there is greater opportunity in another investment as opposed to the one you are currently holding, then it's time to sell & re-allocate. Title is tongue and cheek. I know it's basic stuff. Just looking to help people who are trying to put an honest effort into learning the craft. Cheers!Education19:51by PropNotesUpdated 161689
