Penny Stock Roundup #1I recently (today) took profits in some of my larger mining stocks that were reaching wave 5 on massive bullishness. This has led me to search out some better value propositions for the next move up. It is well known that juniors outperform seniors in a real precious metals bull market . Many of these are just getting started and i intend to capitalize on this to capture more profit. I will be posting some of my favorite prospects for the next move up and i have done much due diligence to separate the diamonds from the garbage. I added to this baby today while reducing exposure to some larger names. I look for miners that actually have the goods, not the pure gamble plays that are just searching... although those will come into play in the next phase. ASMASM has entered the consolidation zone between the 2 dashed lines before moving higher. I expect it to zigzag here and then break the upper resistance. You can enter on a stop buy above the upper line or take more risk by buying at the bottom dashed line. Follow me for the latest junior mining stock picks in the unfolding precious metals bull market. I have over 20 years experience investing in junior mining sector and i will not recommend "junk" or "gamble" plays although many of them will probably do great i only invest in established companies preferably actually operating a mine or future potential of operating a mine such as MAG silver. long short position on ASM ASM The stock ASM has been going through some cyclical change. Due to underperformance on the balance sheet side, the company broke its cyclical turn. I believe that there is still room to short. The best instrument to use would be put options with the strike price closest to the actual price, and the expiration at the earliest date given. If you go along the put option route I would suggest taking short positions because they have less risk, and if the stock drops more than the short position will outperform the put option. Be aware of the fact that the put option may be harmful to the portfolio because the stock is no longer driven by cyclical turns, therefore the stock can open at a different price, and options contracts are executed until the market opens, so if you get options when the market is closed you make be at risk for a loss if the stock opens at a different price. To hedge some of the risks from the short position you could be long positions if you feel the need to.
