Sick realisation: lines and patterns are litteraly always there

So, it may seem obvious to most folks here, but I suppose that if that fact clicked for me after two years of trading, I'm probably not the only one (or perhaps I am, someone has to be the dumbest...)

I have always used trendlines, channels and patterns, and all that time, I've missed something absolutely sick: THERE IS ALWAYS A PATTERN.

I've tried on all time frames, and for all markets with enough liquidity, every single point in time can be enclosed in channel, triangle (sometimes curves but with a degree of 2).

At first I assumed pattern recognition was to blame and that I was seeing things that was meaningless; with no existence other than in my pattern-loving brain (not mine in particular, yours to; it's why we see constellations in the night sky).

But, no, after trying on the chart I really do think they're here.

Now I have a question for experimented traders (or anyone that would have a clue): I'm very curious on why those patterns appear. Is this something representing collective behaviors of buyers and sellers and it just happens that a graphical representation of that has patterns ? Or are they here because traders expect it and will act according to them (kind of a self fulfilling prophecy)
