As you can see there were three time periods of long consolidation (marked by blue boxes below). Before those consolidations you would always get EMA crossovers and EMA consolidations these indicators were reliable signals of the direction where next price move will be.
- First inversion before consolidation had a false reverse, but quickly came back and showed bearish signal on how the consolidation will work it self out.
- Second recurrence of EMA inversion and consolidation showed bullish signals and as Mr. Donald Trump would say "paid of "bigly"
- The most recent EMA crossover started to happen on August 21 and entered bearish consolidation period on September 4th.
Next time for long term swing buys look at this chart and wait for EMA crossovers then consolidation (and by consolidation I mean EMA consolidation) and position yourself accordingly.
*Don't forget that no single indicator is enough to make investment or trade decisions get all the information you can and then place your bets. Be patient.
