Contrary to opinion of virtue signalers, lots of coal is required for the production of electricity, solar panels, and electric vehicles. Coal didn't go away, we just outsourced it to China, which consumes 50% of the world's coal.
This is just a simple mean-reversion play. It's one of the few commodities still near their 2020 crash lows and has healthy upside in this global macro Quad 2 (global growth and inflation accelerating simultaneously).
