SP500 -SPY - ETF ADJUSTED FOR THE US DOLLAR - Daily/Wkly/Monthly

Here is the S&P500 adjusted for the US Dollar, which is a Trade-Weighted Index.

Although foreign investors do not view the S&P500 exactly like this, since it is an amalgam of currencies of our largest trading partners, it does give you the perspective that foreigners are doing well by owning the US Dollar along with their investments in the S&P500.

In the long run, the 5 year picture shows a similar outperformance of roughly 20%. However, on the 20 year chart, (MONTHLY, LOWER RIGHT CHART), the dollar has declined and has hurt foreign investors as its value has declined.

This year the SP500 is up 7% while the US Dollar adjusted SP500 is up nearly 15%.

I divided the entire calculation by 100 to make the result more readable.
