Forward Industries reported earnings yesterday of 6 cents a share for the fiscal third quarter. Revenue fell to $7.23 million for the quarter from $9.06 million in the year-ago quarter.
This is an earnings winner. The numbers doesn't matter, it's the REACTION that matters!
FORD spiked from $1 to $3.7 in the market open yesterday. Then it fell and had a nice consolidation at $1.20. Tons of support. I was trying to buy at the support $1.20 but couldn't get my order filled. At the end of the day it began to spike a little and I bought at $1.33. It then closed at $1.70 but spiked all the way to the $1.93 after hours.
Premarket today it went as high as $2.35 and I was up 70 %. I coulda shoulda woulda sold half of my position at around $2.20 premarket. But as I always I get too greedy and I also was in a meeting at work...
I thought it could test yesterday's high, or at least test $2.60. But it then began to fall a bit premarket. So I sold 2/3 of my position at $1.70 premarket. When the market opened it failed to spike and I sold the rest of my position at $1.45.
I made roughly 30 %. It's ok, but I'm pretty much kicking myself for not locking in the profits when I had the chance.
