Upward vs Downward - Who Will Win?

LTC has had some momentum lately, but it does look like there's a potential downward channel forming. I'm feeling cautious at this point because we failed to gain the ~$61 level.
My prediction is we will continue in this downward channel before relying on longer term uptrends to break the downtrend.
Short and sweet.
Need to start being able to interpret all these better, so I'm trying to make more precise predictions. I'm not quite at the place where I can guess dollar amounts accurately, but I tend to understand overall trends better than narrowing it down to price points.
Also been thinking about charting LTC/BTC since it might be more accurate.
Let me know what you guys think and give me any tips if you've got any!
