Always expect the Liquidation attempt

There will always be heavy selling pressure going past any and all obvious support areas. It's a very common move just before a swing to the opposite direction.

Always be sure to separate your orders either above and/or below your expected areas.

Better to have some orders filled, then none. Even worse, placing an all-in order too high, being unable to buy the dip even more or even getting liquidated.

Personally, I don't focus on getting the exact Bottom/Top of any expected reversal. Awaiting for confirmation is better for risk management.
