If we look back every year return since 1993, most of the times we had a negative year, they only last that 1 year.
Here's a summary of every negative year in SPY:
1994 - followed by a positive year
2000 - The only exception. It had 3 consecutive bad years 2001 and 2002.
2008 - followed by a positive year
2011 - followed by a positive year
2015 - followed by a positive year
2018 - followed by a positive year
2022 - will it be followed by a positive year?
This means there is a high probability that 2023 will close in as low as 384, meaning that here is a lot of upside potential.
The wide range is anywhere from 384 - 478. but If we can stay in the 415 - 428 range, then we will have a chance to end up somewhere in the 428-478 range.
