USDJPY 21 Feb, Downtrend continues, JPY recovers

USDJPY trend forecast February 21, 2025

The Japanese Yen (JPY) encountered some selling pressure on Friday following remarks from Japan's Finance Minister, Katsunobu Kato, who cautioned that rising long-term interest rates could strain the nation's fiscal stability. This provided the USD/JPY pair with a modest lift, rebounding from the 149.30-149.25 zone—its lowest level since December 3, reached during the Asian session.

However, the extent of JPY depreciation appears limited, as market sentiment increasingly solidifies around the expectation that the Bank of Japan (BoJ) will proceed with further interest rate hikes, reinforcing support for the currency.

USDJPY downtrend is strong, continue to maintain, wait for entry retest breakout to continue down
