USDJPY - 3 April, support H4 and short recover

USDJPY trend forecast April 3 , 2025

💬The Japanese Yen (JPY) surged to a three-week high against the US Dollar (USD) during Thursday's Asian session following sweeping trade tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump. Investors grew increasingly worried that these measures could disrupt the global trading system and hinder economic growth. As a result, market sentiment turned risk-averse, driving demand for traditional safe-haven assets like the JPY.

At the same time, the risk-off mood triggered a sharp drop in US Treasury bond yields, further narrowing the yield gap between the US and Japan, which supported the lower-yielding Yen. Meanwhile, the USD weakened, sliding closer to the multi-month low it reached in March amid growing concerns over the economic impact of escalating global trade tensions. These worries, combined with a series of disappointing US economic data releases, intensified fears of a potential recession.
