USDJPY - 21 Jan - strong selling force

USDJPY trend forecast January 21, 2025

The Japanese Yen (JPY) experiences a significant pullback after reaching a five-week high against the US Dollar (USD) during Tuesday's Asian session, with the USD/JPY pair climbing over 100 pips from below the key 155.00 level within the past hour. Comments from US President Donald Trump regarding tariffs spurred a notable recovery in the USD, rebounding from its two-week low on Monday and driving the intraday decline in the JPY. However, a shift in global risk sentiment lends some support to the safe-haven JPY, limiting further losses.

USDJPY technically continues to have a strong downtrend. Waiting for the liquidity zone to break out support to have the force to increase again.
