Working To Unlock The 3-6-9 Secrets Of The MarketRecently, there have been a lot of questions related to my SPY Cycle Patterns and how they work.
I've often stated that these patterns are based on Gann, Tesla, and Fibonacci's price theory.
However, underlying all that is a core component related to the 3-6-9 (secrets of the universe) theory.
This video tries to introduce you to the concepts of the 3-6-9 theory and how it overlays with Gann, Tesla, Fibonacci, Japanese Candlesticks, and more.
My focus for the past 24+ months has been to unlock this theory's secrets and develop a practical use component (code) that attempts to provide very clear future trading/price predictions.
Spend some time watching this video. See what you think and open your mind to the concept that price moves through construction and destruction phases (likely based on the 3-6-9 concepts).
At the end of this video, I share some practical knowledge/examples showing why I believe the 3-6-9 theory is critical to unlocking the true secrets of market price action.
I may never be able to unlock all of it, but I'm dedicated to trying to unlock as much as I can within my lifetime.
This drives me to build code solutions and attempt to improve my skills.

What To Expect After The Fed rate Cut: 9-18-2024 (Fed Day)This video is really designed to teach you some basics about Fibonacci Price Theory (FPT) Analysis. I wanted to show you how I see the charts using FPT and why, sometimes, I might be seeing things differently than you do on the charts.
In my world, there are simple constructs that are evident on every chart. Supply & Demand zones, trending/flagging, and most importantly Fibonacci Price Theory constructs.
Fibonacci Price Theory is the basis of all my analysis. It is the ground-level structure I look for in price on all charts. Then, I move to more advanced indicators and other analysis types to develop a Success/Failure outcome (trend/trade expectation).
What I do is not hard to understand - it just takes practice.
Fibonacci & Gann techniques are infinitely adaptable to any type of price action. I use another technique I call the Tesla Price Amplitude Arcs which often help me identify where/when price events may happen - but that is for another video (maybe).
Ultimately, it comes down to understanding the structure and intent of price action (either success or failure) and how to position your trades for that success or failure of any price event.
There are really two types of traders: trend traders and counter-trend traders.
Trend traders try to catch the explosive price moves as trend events.
Counter-trend traders try to catch major reversal levels in price and try to profit from counter-trend price moves (reversals/reversions).
Using FPT, you can learn to execute both type of trading styles and improve your ability to see the market trends/setups more clearly.
I hope this video helps you learn to become a better trader and helps you understand my Plan Your Trade videos more clearly. At least you'll be able to understand how I see charts and what drives much of my thinking related to chart.

How to measure a true range in any asset!Hello to everyone familiar with ICT concepts!
If you already understand breakers, order blocks, and the principles of price premiums and discounts, you're in the right place.
I’m excited to share some insights with you, using the FOREXCOM:EURUSD
chart from August 20th, 2024.
One challenge I've always faced is accurately measuring the true range. It often feels like price moves towards balance, finding equilibrium before moving away again. ICT's teachings on this topic can sometimes be a bit vague, especially when it comes to the details of whether to measure wicks or focus solely on candlestick bodies. However, I’ve recently made a breakthrough and discovered the key to accurately measuring a true range!
This knowledge aligns with the idea of balances, but it’s crucial to understand that when one algorithm meets another, neither has the power to deviate far from the current price. But that's not what we need to focus on.
What truly matters is identifying when the price is moving away from its current state. This method works exceptionally well during trending markets, like we’ve seen recently with #EURUSD, #GBPUSD, and other forex pairs. It’s also effective in commodities like Gold, indices such as #NQ, #YM, #ES, and even in the crypto markets!
Take yesterday's trend in EURUSD, for example. We saw a significant 5-15 minute trend where the price perfectly retraced to its 50% level. But how did I know where to start measuring?
This time, I used a breaker from a different structure on the 15-minute chart to identify the key level. The answer lies in understanding breakers, order blocks, and supporting structures.
If this topic resonates with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Let’s dive deeper together—there’s so much more to explore. Feel free to share your insights or reach out if you’re curious about how to apply these concepts more effectively

Building Success In PineScript - The Ment Pressure SystemAfter more than two weeks of playing around with Pinescript, I've managed to put together some really cool tools for my followers/subscribers.
The idea of price pressure intrigued me, so I decided to create something based on it.
Ideally, I planned to build something that helped traders find and execute better trades. It is difficult to identify chop vs. trending in any market/interval. My goal was to create a small suite of tools to help traders identify better trade setups.
I still believe I have more work to do with these pressure tools, but I'm very happy with how they work.
I did learn some "tricks" with Pinescript related to how variables and processes work (of course, by trial and error).
Watching the code run in real-time has been fun (watching a 2 min ES chart).
I can't wait to see how my followers use these tools and develop new ways to deploy them efficiently.
What are your thoughts? Anything I can do to improve?

SPY/QQQ Plan Your Trade 7-20 - PineScript Project FeedbackI've been playing with this little project for about 7 hours now (off and on). Pinescript is fun once you get the hang of the syntax and how it expects objects/booleans for most of the conditionals.
Overall, I think this project is moving along nicely, but I wanted some feedback on the visuals.
I'm trying to create something that will help daytraders see and understand broad trends arising from shorter-term price swings.
I get a lot of questions related to how/when to identify key market price reversals - so I'm trying to develop a way to help traders understand and see where opportunities exist for better trades.
Watch this video and let me know if you see anything I can do to improve the visuals or color controls.
I want this to SHINE so people fall in love with it.
Thank you.

Understanding Technical Indicators - Avoid FaultsI received a question from a member today related to Divergence on RSI or Stochastics.
I've been lucky to actually sit down with the creator of Stochastics, George C. Lane, to discuss his indicator and how he used it to trade.
I've also been luck to be able to attend multiple industry conferences over the past 20+ years where I've been able to watch and listen to dozens of the best technicians and analysts explain their techniques.
Boy, those were the days - right?
This video is going to help you understand most technical indicators are designed based on a RANGE of bars (usually 14 or so). This means they are measuring price trend/direction/strength/other over the past 14 bars - not longer.
And because of that you need to understand any trend lasting more than 14+ bars could result in FAILURE of the technical indicator.
Watch this video. I hope it helps.

Understanding my SPY Cycle Patterns - Bottom-103This video highlights the Bottom-103 pattern and how price action (support/resistance/rejection) can be used to confirm and execute better trades.
This is something most traders will easily understand as a BOTTOM pattern reflects a possible bullish price trend - except when price rejects this setup and trends downward.
Learn how my SPY cycle patterns can help you become a better trader.
Tracking DXY for NQ & ES FuturesHere is an example of how it is important to check the daily Bias on DXY if you are trading NQ or ES futures.
DXY is predominantly inverse the futures.
Knowing the daily bias and tracking DXY can give additional confluence to your bias/ direction for NQ & ES.
You can easily determine Bias for DXY and futures with the previous tutorial/ Tip I posted.
I hope you found this helpful.
Dissecting SPY Price trends With Fibonacci Price TheoryHave you ever wanted to learn the one technique you can use on any chart, any interval, or any technical or price set up to help you become a better trader?
Let me show you the basics of Fibonacci Price Theory and how to use it.
Price is always seeking new highs or new lows - ALWAYS.
You'll hear others talking about price filling voids or moving through accumulation/distribution phases - which is all true. Price moves through these support/resistance levels or quickly through price voids to reach new highs or lows. This is all part of Fibonacci Price Theory.
When you learn to understand various intervals using this technique (Weekly, Daily, 30 Min, or others), you'll quickly be able to identify short-term, long-term, and intra-day trends like a pro.
It is not about catching every trend reversal/setup. This technique is about teaching you to stay on the right side of trend and to target the Sweet Spot in the middle of breakaway/breakdown trends.
Follow my research. Learn how I can help you become a better trader.
Learn To Trade Breakout/Flags More Efficiently - Part IIn my first tutorial, I tried to show how price channels can be used to identify and validate strong trade setups. Additionally, I attempted to show you how to identify better trade setups from what I consider invalid trade setups.
Understanding and maintaining at least a 2:1 Reward-to-risk factor for any trade you consider taking is essential. Secondly, it is essential to understand and use proper allocation levels for trades.
The simple way to understand allocation levels is to focus on the RISK amount. If your trade risks $5 per share and you can't afford to risk $500 on this trade, then you should NOT attempt to trade 100 shares of this stock.
Set your risk level based on how much you intend to risk for the trade - nothing more.
If you can only risk $250, then you would only trade 50 shares.
If you can only risk $125, then you would only trade 25 shares.
Learning to find and identify proper trade setups on Daily and Weekly charts is critical for success in the long run. I firmly believe price tells us everything we need to know about a chart, and indicators reflect price.
As you continue to learn some of the techniques I use in various price chart setups, I hope you can refine your techniques to become better traders.
I will likely create a PART II and PART III version of these types of advanced trade setups.
Hope you enjoy.
How to Day Trade or Swing Trade S&P500 Futures No IndicatorsHey Traders,
So over the years I bout alot of courses about trading the markets. In one course I took I learned about a reversal strategy using candlesticks on daily charts. Although in the past I didn't consider myself a Day Trader I found this strategy to be appealing for it using the Stock Index futures. So now I sometimes do day trade the market if I get the right setup. The good thing about his strategy is that you only need to check the market once a day to see if there is a setup. Then you just place your stop orders and limit orders according to your risk management or you can also use options.
Enjoy!
Trade Well,
Clifford
MENT SPY DayTrader Page Update (2-22-23)I've been working on the TT-3MACD PineScript update for about 4+ days.
It seems every time I make a breakthrough, there is more to attempt to build into it.
PineScipt seems pretty cool so far. Documentation is great - but it is a process of learning how the engine processes things.
My goal is to build a TEACHABLE solution for my followers - allowing them to make their own decisions based on my research and other strategies.
Ideally - it is about teaching others when and how to trust their own intuitions.
This video update shows you the FOUR components of my strategy so far:
- The TT-3MACD Strategy (including entries/targets/reversals) - Running on a Heiken-Ashi chart
- The Standard Candlestick chart - running the Linear Regression tool
- The 3D Wave indicator
- The Donchian Ribbon Indicator.
Using these in combination with Fibonacci price theory (Higher Highs/Lows in an UPTREND - Lower Highs/Lows in a DOWNTREND) - should be just about everything any SPY Daytrader could want to learn to get started.
It really is THIS SIMPLE.
The only other thing you need to learn is position sizing techniques. In other words, when to be more aggressive and when to be patient (trading smaller position sizes).
Follow my research and let's see if we can get all of my followers into a better place to start profiting from SPY price swings.
I will post another update/video when I publish the MENT TT-3MACD strategy for all to use.
SPY Cycle Patterns: Resolving volatility into March 2023This example video will help you understand how I use my predictive SPY Cycle Patterns in combination with traditional TA (Fibonacci and others) to prepare/plan for GAPS, trends, and opportunities for trading through the week.
I'm a strong believer that you don't need to trade every minor trend. Taking 2~4 good trades a week across one or two symbols is all that is required to be able to generate 50% to 100% profit every week (using options).
Just last week one of my friends used my SPY Cycle Patterns (and his own skills) to make over 700% ROI. It does happen.
Watch this video. Next week will be very volatile in my opinion. Once we clear the upper resistance level, we should continue to trend up to $435 or higher.
The burst of volatility will likely make for great trade setups - if you know what you are doing.
Follow my research.
SPY Example Setup For DaytradersHere is an example dual-chart setup for SPY daytraders.
I set this up to help my followers understand how to perceive price action as we attempt to transition through the $405 SPY Support level.
If my analysis is correct, we'll see a fairly strong reversion (upside) price trend as long as the $404~405 level holds.
This chart includes a number of TradingView PUBLIC SCRIPTS and a dual-chart layout.
Both Heiken-Ashi and traditional Candlestick charts are used.
Learn to better TIME/ENTER your trades and learn to use price structure/Fibonacci retracements to develop target levels.
Follow my research.
Stay cautious of a PEAK/TOP in the markets today. My SPY Cycle Patterns suggest the markets will establish a PEAK/TOP today - then trend downward.
I created this video to help my followers stay aware of the short-term nature of price in a reactionary price trend - like today.
If you are chasing this rally, stay very cautious of risks related to my SPY cycle patterns. Overall, I expect the markets to peak, stall, then trend downward over the next 48 hours.
Take quick trades with targeted profit targets. This is not a friendly market uptrend in my opinion.
I believe the $408 level is a likely downside price target for the SPY by Thursday.

Using Fibonacci Price Theory To PROTECT Your TradesProtecting Your Trades With Fibonacci Price Theory.
Learn to understand the BELTLINE range (50%) and why it is so important for structuring your trades for profit.
Not all trades will be successful - plan for FAILURE.
Planning for FAILURE = Long-Term SUCCESS.
Follow my research.
The rabbit-hole of knowledge I've amassed over the past 25+ years is deep. I could go on and on about different strategies, theories, concepts, and indicators.
What I've learned is...
KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid!
_ The IDIOT SYSTEM is often the best for new traders.
_ Use Multi-timeframes to confirm price trend/direction.
_ Use PRICE STRUCTURE as the core of all of your research.
Hope these help everyone out.
Pay Attention.
Part 2 - Fibonacci Price Theory on SPY 60 Min (Deeper we go)After 25+ years of research, study, and application of some of the most incredible trading strategies - I'm sharing one of the MOST IMPORTANT structural price theories with all of you...
The Fibonacci Price Theory.
The primary rule of the Fibonacci Price Theory is:
Price is ALWAYS seeking NEW HIGHS or NEW LOWS. Price is never NOT attempting to reach NEW HIGHS or NEW LOWS.
Let that sink in for a minute.
If you knew price was always attempting to establish a trend, or continue a trend.. how would that change your trading/investing tactics?
What if I showed you how I use Fibonacci Price Theory? And how YOU can use it to further your own trading skills?
Here you go, A 60 minute SPY chart where I'm applying the basics of Fibonacci Price Theory to the current market price rally.
If you've ever wanted to learn the TRUE CONSTRUCT of price - this is it.
All other technical analysis techniques (Elliot Wave, Indicators, & others) are constructed from PRICE.
Price is the Ultimate Indicator.
Pay attention and follow my research.
Learning Fibonacci Price Theory - MUST WATCHEven though I got cut off after about 25 minutes, I'm sharing this with all of you to teach you how to use one fo the most important PRICE STRUCTURE features for any chart
Fibonacci Price Theory.
The consensus of all TA is that PRICE tells us everything.
Fibonacci Price Theory is the REAL DEAL.
Use it on a 1 minute, 5 minute, 60 minute, or Daily - ANY TIME-FRAME
Use it in conjunction with other TA/Indicators.
Use it with Elliot Wave analysis.
USE IT.
My experience is that all indicators/theories/strategies have strengths/weaknesses. If you are not aware of them (yet) - pay attention.
Follow my research and I'll continue to try to share tidbits of advanced TA/Fibonacci with you.
I created this to help my followers/friends learn one of the most critical price structure components of my own research. I see all price charts in the manner I've illustrated in this video.
After more than 15 years of applied Fibonacci Price Theory/Structure - I can't help but NOT see price as "Fibonacci Fractals".
Hope this helps.
How to be a Mean Reversion ScalperIn this video I go over how I trade with my custom mean-reversion histogram and overlay indicator, explaining the logic behind my entires and profit-taking levels. This example is taken from $SPY on the 1-minute chart, and I examine all four of the alerts that the indicator gave today. Comment below with any questions!
A Dive Into My Swing Trading Approach (+setup) This video was a short synthesis of my swing trading approach. For the amount of information I presented, I'm not expecting to successfully being able to convey my means and ways in one short video, but I'm glad if I could at least show a different perspective.
Some important things I forgot to mention:
- The tolerance for identifying a visual weak liquidity pattern is 2 ticks, 3 ticks during highly volatile days (for the ES). This can change from one market to another. Anything more than 2/3 ticks is considered a move of conviction supported by strong liquidity, a market that has the confidence to see what's beyond a certain point to then either sharply reverse or move forward.
- Using this method I CANNOT know what the market makers are exactly doing, there is no way to know, they will always be a step ahead of any brilliant retail trader. However, we can understand their logic and the weak traders' logic, the latter is the type we want to trade against.
SETUP
As I said, I favour a short trade, but as of today I have to remain on the sidelines. During this times is important to be flexible and change ones bias if that's what the market is suggesting. I will post my set up (if any) in due course.
Options flow predicting moves on Derivatives (Futures)Options have been and are an important instrument on the financial market for a trader trading Intraday Futures. Therefore, while exploring the mechanics of the option market over the last several months, as a result of work, indicators were created that load data from Quandl and then look for patterns that may herald a change of direction on the derivative market - in this case Futures Contracts. There are two main types of Options:
CALL - allow their owner to buy a given product in the future at a predetermined price (Strike Price)
PUT - allow you to sell this product at a predetermined price (Strike Price)
By observing the market volumes of both types of Options, we can observe the sentiment of investors. The key factors are which volume (call or put) prevail in the volume and the dynamics of the volume - what is the trend on volume, whether the difference between them increases or decreases. In addition, the Put / Call Ratio analysis allows you to confirm or negate the signals from the Option volume. The Ratio indicator behaves inversely to the price movement - in the case of a bearish sentiment, we expect the ratio to increase, and in the case of bullish sentiment - the indicator should decrease. If the Ratio follows the price in the same direction, it is an anomaly.
Of course, the mere observation of the Option volumes and the Put / Call ratio is not sufficient, as the Options Market is a much more complicated activity. It is worth including in the calculations such factors as Expiration Date, Bonus Amount, option type (In the Money, Out of Money or At the Money). Not each of the factors is equally important, therefore the key is additionally the appropriate selection of the weighting factors. For this purpose, due to the multitude of data, it is worth using Machine Learning, which I also do by saving the resulting data in a dataset in Quandl and displaying the data in TradingView using Pine Script.
Below are some additional examples from recent sessions on ES showing the predictive nature of the Option sentiment, often preceding major movements in the ES index (during the spot session):
First, from the left, the session from November 15 is shown and an opportunity to play Short. On the right, the session from November 16 and an opportunity to play the Long position this time.
Session from November 10, where we first got the Bull's signal, and at the top we got a warning signal of traffic reversal and the possibility of entering Short:
And one of my favorite moves on November 3:
Understanding Sessions - DAX FuturesFollow up from yesterday's post for US Futures, but same concepts apply for ALL assets in any market.
See this example from the action this morning.
DAX hasn't yet settled beneath the US Session Open, clearly indicating current pressure remains up.
Yet the range potential on a push higher or lower is nice and wide. For these cases I tend to prefer to play the reaction to the next move, not predict the move itself. If you're scalping, you can use the smaller timeframe session open such as 5 minute as a guide for 'in the moment' pressure, but always keep these bigger sessions in mind and where you are in relation to them.
Reference my earlier posts from yesterday and this morning for ES for more info.
