My $1k to $100k Challenge - Day 29 Trade #42 - LOOMHello all and thanks for stopping by and following my personal challenge. I am attempting to turn $1000 into $100,000 by day trading altcoins.
I started my challenge on July 14th with a bankroll of 0.16 Bitcoin that was valued at $1000 at the time. You can follow and see all my trades in my profile.
There is no nice way to put it, I am doing very bad. I am jumping in the trades too early or too late and am on a bad losing streak.
Back to my basics, Base plays, with a twist. I will DCA buy if -5% is hit before my sell target, then make my new sell target my original buy in price which will give me 2 1/2% profit.
What is DCA? Dollar Cost Averaging. Say I buy 100 shares @ $2 = $200. Then the price dips to $1, I invest another $200 and buy 200 shares = $200. Now I own 300 shares and have dropped my cost per share to $1.33 each.
100 shares @ $2 = $200
200 shares @ $1 = $200
300 shares total cost $400 = $1.33 average cost each

I invested 0.0337 B into LOOM. I bought 2269 @ 1485 satoshi
My Sell target is: 1575 for 6.06% profit
If the price drops to 1410, I will invest another 0.0337 B and buy another 2390 LOOM @ 1410 satoshi. My new target will be my original buy in price of 1485 satoshi for a potential profit of 2 1/2%.
My Trade Stop loss: 1336 (-7 1/2%)

My Sell target is: 617 for 5.65% profit
If the price drops to 554, I will invest another 0.03659344 B and buy another 6605 QKC. My new target will be my original buy in price at 584 satoshi for a potential profit of 2 1/2%.

After hitting 2600 on July 18th, ADA has been in a downtrend since. Last Thursday ADA made a new year low at 1685, the very next day ADA finally brokeout of the descending wedge.

My $1k to $100k Challenge - Day 20 Trade #30 - QKC Hello all and thanks for stopping by and following my personal challenge. I am attempting to turn $1000 into $100,000 by the end of the year by day trading altcoins.
I started my challenge on July 14th with a bankroll of 0.16 Bitcoin that was valued at $1000 at the time. You can follow and see all my trades in my profile.
I am changing my strategy a bit, I will be using 2 to 1 (profit/loss) risk vs reward. My sell targets will still be 5% but my stop loss will be -2 1/2%.
I will also be using 3commas trading bot and using profit trailing starting at 3%. What this means is once an active trade hits 3% profit, the profit trail will kick in. If the price drops -0.5% from +3% on, autosell will occur for 2 1/2% profit minimum.
This will be another learning experience for me as I am new using 3commas. I hope that I don't make any costly mistakes.
Looking back at my losing trades, many trades hit 3% profit or more, then dropped down to hit my stop loss. This new strategy should prevent this problem and turn in more wins.
These last few weeks have been fun. I have won some trades and lost some trades. Learning from my failures will help bring me success.

POWR has good support at this price level dating back to May. This seems to be a common bounce zone and a good spot for trade entry IMO.
RSI bouncing up from oversold, CCI trying to turn positive and the MACD has crossed over and gaining momentum.
