US10Y Rejection not confirmed yet. Bullish unless this breaks. The U.S. Government Bonds 10YR Yield (US10Y) is having a 2-week rejection since the August 22 High that was priced marginally above the 4.336 Resistance. However both the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) as well as the Higher Lows trend-line that moves just below it, remain intact, maintaining the long-term uptrend.
Today is the ideal spot for a new buy entry, targeting 4.365 (August 22 High). We are only willing to turn short after the price breaks below the Higher Lows trend-line and closes a 1D candle below the 1D MA50. In that case, we will sell and target 3.810 (Fibonacci 0.5 level).
Notice also the 1D RSI which just hit its own Higher Lows trend-line that is holding since March 15.

Bondyields
Gold defies bond sell-off once againNominal 10-year Treasury yields have risen to the highest level since 2007. Just when we though the bond sell-off of 2022 was behind us, it came back with a vengeance. Hawkish Federal Open Market Committee (Fed) minutes and a string of positive economic data from the US are casting doubts whether we have reached peak interest rates in the US. The Fed certainly has left the door open for further hikes and its decisions will be very data sensitive.
Relative to the bond market, gold is holding up well at USD1916/oz (on 23 August 2023). While gold prices temporarily fell below the psychologically important US$1900/oz level, Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) prices had fallen much further and other-things-being-equal, the bond market would indicate gold should be trading closer to $1830/oz. Gold’s resilience in the past month mirrors its defiance again the bond headwinds of 2022.
Gold has been facing US Dollar headwinds as well in the past month. The Dollar Basket (DXY) has appreciated 2.1% in the past month (to 22 August 2023). With a more hawkish Fed, there is a greater risk of further dollar appreciation.
Central banks bought a net 55 tonnes of gold in June following three straight months of selling. The Central Bank of Türkiye's (CBRT) return to net buying in June helped reverse a temporary trend. Having been a significant net seller between March and May to meet local demand, it swung back to net buying in June, adding 11 tonnes to its official reserves.
Of all the precious metals, silver fell the most in the past month (-6.1%). Net speculative positioning fell 88% to a level one standard deviation below its 5-year average. However, we suspect that excessive shorts were being covered in the past week. Since hitting an intra-day local low of US$22.35/oz at 13.30 on 15/08/2023 silver prices have bounced up to US$24.14/oz at 15.00 on 23/08/2023 (+8.0%). That low point seems to match the Fibonacci-implied support levels looking at year-to-date silver performance (the 38.2% retracement).
Silver inventory in London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) vaults, which fell precipitously in 2022 (-28%), has stabilised and gained 3% year to July 2023. Silver holding in exchange traded commodities (ETCs) have only modestly declined in 2023 so far (4%) after a 15% decline in 2022.
The last week’s bounce in silver price takes the gold-to-silver ratio back down to 81 (22/08/2023), from 84 (08/08/2023), fractionally higher than 80, where we were a month ago (21/07/2023). Net speculative positioning in silver fell 88%, one standard deviation below its 5-year average according to Commodity Futures Trading Commission (August 15, 2018 to August 15, 2023)
Platinum and palladium also followed silver higher in the past week, but monthly prints have come in lower. Auto sales have largely been improving in the past year, with sales up 18% y-o-y in Europe (June) and US (July). However, China sales fell 1% y-o-y in July. Autos are the main source of demand for platinum group metals.

Higher for LongerUS inflation data in July 2023 provided mixed signals. While Consumer Price Index (CPI) is moving in the right direction, producer price inflation suggest pipeline pressures are picking up. Core CPI, which excludes often-volatile food and energy costs, rose only 0.2% for a second month in a row . However, US producer prices picked up in July, owing to increases in certain service categories. This likely buys more time for the Federal Reserve (Fed) to deliberate on the future path of monetary policy.
The flows into bond exchange traded funds (ETFs) have been volatile. Over the past year, investors were starting to embrace duration. Investors were positioned for recession, inflation crash, and Fed cuts - evident from $31.7bn inflows to Treasury bond ETFs on pace for a record year2. However, investors are starting to pull out of the biggest bond ETFs devoted to Treasuries. More than $1.8 billion came out of the $39 billion iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF last week, the most since March 20203. Sentiment toward long-dated Treasuries has soured over the past month amid growing conviction that the Fed will keep interest rates at elevated levels for an extended period. We expect rates to remain higher for longer and are unlikely to see the Fed cut rates until the Q1 of next year amidst a stronger US economy.
Don’t celebrate on disinflation just yet
Overall, the US economy continues to show extraordinary resilience despite monetary constraints and credit tightening. While inflation has shown encouraging signs of decline, we caution that the level remains high. Strong July retail sales raise the risk of a re-acceleration in inflation. The four biggest categories of the ex-auto’s component saw outsized gains: non-store retailers, restaurants & bars, groceries, and general merchandise. Amidst a tight US labour market, with unemployment at historic lows and wages continuing to rise, the downward pricing momentum in the service sector is likely to be at a slower rate. Commodity prices are also beginning to rebound from the weakness seen in Q2 2023. Energy prices have been rising on the back of Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) production cuts. If commodity prices extend their recent momentum, it could pose upside risks to inflation.
Fed Officials remain divided
Messaging on a somewhat mixed inflation outlook from the Fed Officials remains a mixed bag. One faction remains of the view that rates hikes over the past year and a half has done its job while another group contends that pausing too soon could risk inflation re-accelerating. Fed governor’s Michelle Bowman and Christopher Waller remain in the hawkish camp, hinting at more rate increases being needed to get inflation on a path down to the 2% target.
Futures markets are assigning about a 11% chance of a 25-basis-point rate hike when the Fed next meets on 19 and 20 September4. Additionally, rate cuts have now been completely taken off the table until perhaps later in the Q1 2024. The latest Fed minutes reveal commentary from officials, including the hawks, such as Neel Kashkari, suggest a willingness to pause again in September, but to leave the door open for further hikes at the upcoming meetings5.
Opportunity for a yield seeking investor
It’s been an impressive turnaround since the pandemic when negative real yields became the norm. TINA- ‘There Is No Alternative’ to equities, is over now that evidence of the shift to a 5% world appears stronger than ever. Today investors have the opportunity to lock in one of the highest yields in decades, with US two-year yields paying close to 5% exceeding the yields at longer maturities without the volatility witnessed in the 10-year sector. A resilient US economy is likely to keep interest rates and bond yields higher for longer.

TLT vs. US20Y ~ Snapshot TA / Inverse CorrelationsTVC:US20Y double-tops, while NASDAQ:TLT creates a double-bottom..
Question to ask tho - has US20Y actually double-topped, or is this just retracement for a bigger push beyond ATHs?
Looking for further signs of confirmation that long-ended yields have indeed peaked...then I'll feel more confident in popping the champagne.

While Bullish momentum is encouraging, a definitive close above ~1913 (61.8% Fib) will be transformational.
Resurgence in Bonds will most likely pressure Gold back into downward trend towards Gap Fill/78.6% Fib, or further capitulation towards $1800 territory.
Traders will be paying close attention to Jackson Hole Symposium.
Note:
- TVC:DXY has also been rallying while Gold shows relative strength - demonstrating that Bond Yields are indeed the underlying driving force, interesting.

US10Y A break below the 1D MA50 will trigger a 2nd sell-off.The U.S. Government Bonds 10YR Yield (US10Y) is approaching the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) that has been supporting the price action since May 16. The long-term trend since the October 21 2022 market top has been bearish, guided downwards by a Lower Lows trend-line but since February it has transitioned into a Rectangle. The recent July 07 High was a direct hit at the top of the Rectangle, so this week's rejection comes as a very natural consequence.
If the price closes a 1D candle below the 1D MA50, the 2nd part of the Rectangle's bearish leg will most likely be triggered. As you see during this long-term pattern, we've had two -19.70% decline sequences and if the current one turns out to be of that magnitude, we are looking at a 3.300% target.
Note that 4 days ago we formed a 1D Golden Cross, technically a bullish pattern, but the previous 1D Death Cross (bearish pattern) turned out to be the Rectangle's bottom. On that notion, the Golden Cross may have formed the top.

US10Y: Excellent long term sell opportunity. The US10Y turned neutral on the 1D timeframe today (RSI = 51.795, MACD = 0.074, ADX = 33.857) after it got rejected on R1 two days ago. It is likely to see a sharp fall as on the March 2nd rejection, and in that case S1 and S2 won't pose any bullish pressure to the downtrend, nor should the 1D MA50 and 1D MA200, which in the past 12 months haven't had any such significance.
Consequently, we consider the current level early enough for a low risk sell position on the long term, targeting the S3 (TP = 3.300%). As you see, the trading structure follows quite similar legs since November and right now we are most likely on a leg 2.

US10Y - INMINENT SELL OFF US10Y - 10 YEAR BOND WEEKLY TENDENCY ANALYSIS
THE 10 Year Bond Started Buying from Weekly Demand (green)
Then reached Monthly Supply that generated a new/fresh weekly Supply to start reversing the price
Destiny: Weekly demand (green)
Stages/Weekly tendency - Stan Weistein
- STAGE I: Price consolidate Between SMA 30 @ Weekly TF
- STAGE II: Price break consolidation and make highs above SMA 30 @ Weekly TF
- STAGE III: Price consolidate Between SMA 30 @ Weekly TF
- STAGE IV: Price break consolidation and make lows below SMA 30 @ Weekly TF
US10Y Still room to rise but be ready to short the top.The U.S. Government Bonds 10YR Yield (US10Y) hit the downside target on our previous signal (see idea below) and is currently rising again:
Being above both the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) and 1D MA200 (orange trend-line), we see the potential of a diverging Channel Down to emerge and establish itself (dotted lines). The completion of a 1D Death Cross, the first since August 25 2021, ensures that the long-term trend remains bearish. As a result, buy the rest of this bullish Lower High leg and be ready to sell again at the top of the original (blue) Channel Down.
If the 1D RSI gets rejected on the dashed Lower Highs trend-line, consider the potential of an early top and sell again. Our target for end of July is 3.150%.

US10Y: Last dip before a medium term reboundThe US10Y is trading inside a Channel Down ever since its market peak on October 21st. The 1D technicals are neutral (RSI = 54.601, MACD = 0.300, ADX = 17.030) giving a mixed tone to the price action but based on the December-January Lows we can see the the Channel Down has one last dip to make before it bottoms and rebounds on the medium term. We will wait for that pullback around 3.250 and buy targeting the 0.618 Fibonacci (TP = 3.750).

Rethinking Fed Intervention: Wages, Inflation, and AIIn light of the precarious global economy and numerous contributing factors, such as deglobalization, the inflationary impact of the war in Ukraine, an aging population, and an overwhelming amount of debt, the Federal Reserve's role and efficacy in the current economic climate have come into question. Drawing on Jeff Snider's work, it is increasingly evident that the Federal Reserve has not completely controlled the financial system. Despite their efforts to manipulate interest rates, external factors and market forces continuously challenge the Fed's authority. The market's current outlook suggests that the Fed may be forced to cut rates soon, indicating that its strategy of hiking rates may not have been the best approach.
The central premise that the Fed should intervene to suppress inflation by keeping wages low is fundamentally flawed. Higher wages can lead to increased productivity investments, reducing the need for labor and raising living standards over time. However, hiking interest rates can stifle investment, hindering economic growth and exacerbating inequality.
In recent months, inflation has decreased independently, without the direct influence of the Fed's actions, suggesting that the economy may be self-correcting. However, this natural deflationary pressure could be disrupted by external factors, such as the tightening of lending standards brought on by the mini-banking crisis. The ongoing threat of AI-driven job losses and an impending recession further complicates the situation for American workers.
Jeff Snider's research at Eurodollar University offers valuable insights into the complex relationship between the Fed and inflation. Snider argues that the Fed's actions may not be the primary cause of inflation, as it has limited control over the money supply. Instead, he posits that the global financial system, specifically the eurodollar market, plays a more significant role in influencing inflation rates.
As we progress into the exponential age, the rapid advancement of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) will lead to significant disruptions. However, there are potentially positive aspects to these developments. AI could revolutionize industries, streamline processes, and create new opportunities. The widespread adoption of AI can lead to increased efficiency, improved decision-making, and the automation of repetitive tasks, ultimately driving economic growth. The productivity gains associated with AI could offset some of the negative impacts of the current economic climate, such as job losses and wage stagnation.
In summary, the belief that the Fed should intervene to suppress wages to tackle inflation is fundamentally misguided. Such intervention can have numerous negative consequences, including hindering investment and stifling economic growth. In contrast, allowing wages to rise can lead to increased productivity investments and improved living standards. To effectively address inflation, it is essential to consider a more comprehensive range of factors beyond the Fed's actions and recognize the importance of encouraging sustainable economic growth through policies promoting higher wages and productivity investments. Policymakers and financial analysts must carefully consider the consequences of their actions and their impact on the broader economy and society.

US02Y about to break its 1W MA50 and start a mega stock rally? The US02Y has been trading on its 1W MA50 (blue trend-line) for the past 4 weeks, closing above it on all occasions. This is a key time for (primarily) the stock market as the last time the US02Y broke and closed below its 1W MA50 (week of December 31 2018), a massive rally on stocks (which on this chart are portrayed by the S&P500 and the black trend-line) was initiated.
This was at the end of the U.S. - China trade war. The 1W RSI also shows that we are closer to that break-out than ever. Will a closing below the 1W MA50 give investors finally what they've been waiting for?

Uninverting yield curveHere we can see Japan is slurping up bonds to hold down oil prices. (vs. USD: Red) (vs. SAR Green)
Simultaneously the us05y (orange) is compressing below the us30y (yellow), uninverting the yield curve and firing off our famous recession signals.
But people wonder why the MOVE index is so wildly off the charts..
US10Y: Rising short term inside its Channel DownThe US10Y is trading inside a Channel Down on the 1D timeframe with the 1D technicals neutral (RSI = 46.172, MACD = -0.046, ADX = 31.478). With the 1D RSI coming off an accumulation that we've seen on the December and January bottoms, we expect the price to rise and approach at least the 0.618 Fibonacci. Our TP = 3.750.

S&P500 Will the bond yields rescue or push it lower? The S&P500 recently has been negatively correlated with bond yields. The while line is the US10Y.
This has been inside a Channel Down and is near its bottom. Based on their negative correlation that will push the S&P500 lower.
The time that both the S&P500 and the US10Y rose simultaneously was after August 1st and we can seriously argue that there are resemblances between the two time periods.
What do you expect to happen this time?

Recap of my trade for today on ZB1!Good afternoon and good evening dear traders!
At the morning I shared a post where I said to sell ZB1!, it's too late but you still have made some profits if you got in early. For my clients and I it was a good day in ZB1! and NATURAL GAS, we could make some good profits on the 4% drop of the NATURAL GAS and on the 1% of the ZB1!, I didn't share the NATURAL GAS one since I already posted the ZB1! one and I can't give the trades I give privately.
See you tomorrow on another forerecast!
If you got any question don't hesitate to ask!
US10Y is on the 1W MA50. Major effect on stocks and commodities! It is only 11 days ago when we called for an immediate drop on the U.S. Government Bonds 10YR Yield (US10Y) as it was at the top of both its long-term Channel Down as well as the top of the Diverging Channel Up:
The Channel Up now broke to the downside as the US10Y not only hit our 3.550% Target but closed even below the 1D MA200 (orange trend-line), with the Channel Down remaining the only pattern still valid.
The important development is that the price is testing the 1W MA50 for the second straight day and for the first time since December 21 2021. If it closes the week below it, it not only validates the 5 month Channel Up but also confirms the way for a new long-term downtrend extension towards the 1W MA100.
Needless to say, this will have major consequences on the stock and metals (Gold in particular) markets as well.

US02Y is on a breaking point. Great news for stocks! The U.S. Government Bonds 2 YR Yield (US02Y) is testing its 1W MA50 (blue trend-line) for the first time since May 31 2021. The 1W RSI is on the very same Lower Highs trend-line rejection that it was during the December 17 2018 1W MA50 test!
Needless to say this shows that the price is on a critical point as when it broke in Dec 2018, a downtrend followed that was at the bottom of the U.S. - China trade war and sent stocks (black trend-line = S&P500) on a 1 year mega-rally (until the COVID crash).
Will we have a repeat?

Recap of my trade for todayGood afternoon and good evening traders!
I'm sharing with you a recap of my trade for today, actually we caught the 1st up trend after breaking the support line with a quite high volume, then after having the highest volume of the day on the candle I put the 2nd arrow at we added another position to finish the trade on the market with 2 contracts and a respectful profit after seeing a squeeze of buyers and closed at the end of the red candle I put an arrow on. After that the price broke the support line of the channel I shared the trade with you too early to make some profit of it.
For more questions don't hesitate to ask and I'll be answering with pleasure.
PS: The autocorrect changed the FUTURE to FEATURE on the post I posted this morning
