GE - Reminder of The TrendReminding viewers of what we posted 17 months ago! Lots of research being published today. The simple version is to remember Basel III agreement TCE ratios. That being addressed, GE will need capital. How that does it remains to be seen. GE needs a minimum of $32.25 billion adding non controlling equity back to the balance sheet. A maximum of $52.56 billion taking out non controlling equity. This equates to a negative $5-$10 per share currently. 2019 Cash Flow is estimated to be ~$8.812 billion. At no growth this produces an intrinsic value of $6.14 - $14.13 per share.

I've grown my account 2% while the market crashes, here is how.I've added this Cashflow Indicator to all of my charts. I monitor weekly, daily, hourly, 15 min on each market I want to trade. The indicator plots green for buys, yellow for closing long positions, red for shorts, orange for closing shorts and grey for market noise. I have been buying calls and puts to keep my market exposure low while maintaining the upside reward. I keep my money out of the market because I do not trust big investment firms to treat my money with respect. Machine learning and HFT are designed and used to create fear and take your money. This indicator shows a digital signal when large volume(smart money) is active in a market. I recommend using this indicator to monitor large moves. I want the little guy to win. These last four days have probably been a terrible experience for you while the market sells off. Last year I lost around $30,000 on one trade because of large market moves like this latest one. I failed to manage my risk and lost a giant portion of my account; it destroyed me mentally for a few months. I vowed to never make that mistake again so I learned risk management and programming. Now, I have a max loss I am willing to tolerate on any trade of 0.25% of my account. I do not falter from my max loss. In a nut shell I buff my studs and cut my duds. Adding to winning positions and deleting my losing positions when they are at my max loss. Risk management is the most important thing you can learn as an investor. With proper risk management (aka cutting losses) with an accuracy of an average baseball players batting average, you can maintain long term profitability. Since I began trading this indicator, my accuracy is 39.8% (needs much improvement) however my account has grown 4.3% in 1.5 months. I attribute this to proper risk management and understanding market conditions. I do believe if my patience were stronger, my accuracy would drastically improve. I have also spent 100's of hours programming this indicator. A recent back test showed a 90-100% accuracy on daily charts for the SPY. I still do not have the perfect way to trade using this indicator but I know there is value. We are the 99%, lets get our money back.

Using the Cashflow Indicator, a downtrend has begun...The cashflow indicator is a measure in change in price multiplied by volume. I believe this shows current interest in changing price. The indicator shows current cashflow and average cashflow. The average cashflow looks like a pool of blood in a downtrend. Each current cashflow value is like a dagger stabbing a cash filled balloon. If you see a blood filled cashflow average this means a lot of selling volume. Basically GTFO!!!!

Near 20-year lows, Amneal is still too riskyGeneric drug maker Amneal has been slowly melting down since 2015, falling from $50 per share to today's closing price of $3.44. Amneal makes money, though it missed estimates last quarter by about $0.04 per share. S&P Capital IQ rates it an undervalued, high quality, and financially healthy company, but I think that overstates the case. In my opinion this company is at real financial risk. Amneal's cash reserve shrank by 3/4 year-over-year, while its accounts receivable grew in an equal amount. That suggests that while Amneal's assets may look good on paper, it may not be very liquid. Amneal may need to do a better job with collections. Furthermore, ongoing litigation over price fixing and the opioid epidemic exposes Amneal to potential damages of $1.2 billion, almost its total current assets. Amneal has some support at its current share price as it approaches lows from back in 2008 and 2002-2003. It also got an analyst upgrade today from SVB Leerink after the analytics firm determined that of the major generic drug makers, Amneal has the least exposure to that ongoing litigation I mentioned. (Endo Phramaceuticals has the most exposure, and Teva comes in second.) However, given the enormity of the drug makers' exposure, saying Amneal is the least exposed doesn't mean much. If the litigation plays out in the generic drug makers' favor, Amneal will be a great stock available at bargain basement pricing. Until then, this stock is much too risky. It may continue to fall to its 1998 lows of under $1 per share.

TELKOM (TKG) 4-HOUR TIMEFRAME LONGIt is shocking to see a stock soaring in an economy plagued with state capture scandals, corruption, uncertainty and all things junk. Notwithstanding the fact that i love South Africa, it is sadly true that most stocks on the JSE stock exchange are in bear market territory. Hence the shock i had when i opened this chart. I expect prices to move up as they continue the healthy uptrend. The exponential nature of this trend makes it difficult to ride it. It is like trying to jump onto a speeding bullet train. Anyway, i would consider the 8 200 level as a possible support area where buyers can enter into new positions. It is important to note that the price might possibly form a right shoulder to complete a tête et épaules (head and shoulders) pattern, causing the price to plummet towards the trendline. However, the long term bias is still long. I guess the bulls needed a break so to them!

Investing in Boring BusinessesVLGEA is a boring business. It operates a chain of ShopRite groceries stores across PA, NJ, and MD. The company averages a modest 6% sales growth CAGR and has paid a dividend every year since its inception in 1965. I like investing in boring businesses. Stable, consistent returns on shareholder capital can have tremendous compounding effects. VLGEA sits on a ton of cash, has stable, consistent free cash flows with an unlevered FCF 10Y CAGR of 29%. Although the company faces stiff competition in an industry that already deals with narrow margins, they have flexibility and potential to get to their intrinsic business value of around $31 - $36/share. I wrote a blog piece about them where I go into more detail, give it a read here: rockvuecapital.wordpress.com From a technical standpoint, if the stock can hold at this current support level of 22.50 - 23, I would venture to initiate a starter position with a stop loss right below that support. Has the Market Mispriced Refined Coal?Just finished writing a detailed analysis of ADES in which I talk about the growing demand for refined coal both in the United States, and more importantly Southeast Asia. ADES is sitting on loads of cash, its turning around its cash from operations, and has a solid catalyst in its chemicals business that puts it ahead of the industry. Using DCF it has a fair value of around $22/share when using the average EPS over the last four years. The technicals aren't great, but I like the support level and am looking for a bounce from support. BTC/USD Rate Compared to Cash FlowOBV is a volume-based measure that tries to get a handle on cash flows. It is plotted with the BTC/USD exchange rate. Not surprisingly, inflows to BTC are causing its price to rise. The BTC/USD market is a normal market determined by supply and demand. So far, there is no evidence indicating that demand has started to fall, triggering a bear market. This does not mean that there is not a bubble, nor that prices will fall in the future. This is a correlational, not predictive analysis. Besides, technical analysis is a waste of time, given the randomness in this market and lack of external referents by which reasonably objective valuations can be made.
