Signals from Crypto-Sticks TSI - Long signal on QSPAnother entry for you all in the public library Crypto-Sticks series. More STILL to come! What I particularly love is these indicators give you an added 3rd dimension to viewing them otherwise. You can see how much fluctuation occurred, get better divergence signals, find higher/lower extremes, and use in combination for secondary confirmation!
Here's an example of how to use the Crypto-Sticks TSI for trading signals. I also plotted this range's signals the indicator would've generated. TSI allows you to ride a trend longer than RSI, but its also slightly lagging.
Please remember that you will potentially have to adjust the TSI overbought and oversold levels to suit the volatility of the instrument you are working with. In the future I will implement a feature that does this automatically, but for now its manual.
The OB/OS zones are given in two levels, because often you can find a line of best fit that will hit "small movements" and one that will hit "big movements."
Heiken Ashi (default setting) candles adds some more clear trend changing points which can be executed at the second candle going in either direction. Other coins/charts will require their own strategy - you could potentially have to tweak that parameter. In this example you would enter on 2nd green, exit on 2nd red. Example on HA:
Volume weighting the HA candles adds a different dimension to the indicator which I have to explore more fully. Please note on this indicator i believe it provides no additional value, but I left it in as YMMV. An example of VW+HA:

Signals from Crypto-Sticks TRIX STIX - caught the GOBTC Pump!Another entry for you all in the public library Crypto-Sticks series. More STILL to come! What I particularly love is these indicators give you an added 3rd dimension to viewing them otherwise. You can see how much fluctuation occurred, get better divergence signals, find higher/lower extremes, and use in combination for secondary confirmation!
Here's an example of how to use the Crypto-Sticks TRIX for trading signals. I also plotted this range's signals the indicator would've generated. TRIX is a slightly lagging indicator meaning it catches trends better than it catches absolute bottoms and tops. So using something like Bottom Top Finder can help you pinpoint an even better entry and exit.
Please remember that you will potentially have to adjust the TRIX overbought and oversold levels to suit the volatility of the instrument you are working with. In the future I will implement a feature that does this automatically, but for now its manual.

Quadruple Threat - Crypto-Stick KO-CombinationHey everyone - I just wanted to show that our indicators will work on other instruments than crypto! Dont let the name fool you :)
Shown are 4 cryptosticks indicators. Top 2 are already released and available in the public library. Bottom two are yet to be released, but wil be soon! (also in the public library). This series of indicators is an attempt to view your traditional favorites in a new light.
Here is an example strategy I came up with using these 4 together. As you can see they would've helped you cash in on that price push that GPU cryptocurrency mining rigs created for their graphics card division.
Analysis
As the MOM and CCI are trending towards the oversold zone, and W%R is already we feel a long opportunity is coming for AMD in the coming days.
Fundamentally the company has competitive hardware and great brand loyalty.
To enter a less risky setup wait for the (lagging) entry from TSI. TSI is currently trending right above the oversold zones, and since its a lagging indicator, we look to the others.
Entry around $20, Stoploss at $17. Target is $27.
Info about Crypto-Sticks Series of Indicators
This series isnt polished 100%, and I have some more options I will add in the future. But for now, I want to just release them, as I am not sure when I will have the time to put more work into them (many other big projects I am working on).
Its basically reinterpretations of all your favorite indicators. I calculate the values a little bit differently than normal, but the end result is creating a candlestick chart (for the indicator!). Then I added the option to plot them as Heiken Ashi candles to smooth out noise and make signaling easier.
Lastly I implemented a Volume Weighting system for them all which simply integrates volume into the formulas for these indicators. For the most part this feature is experimental and doesn't provide huge utility (yet - I have other ways I want to try it as well - just no time). Though on some of the indicators it already shows great promise.

Example signals from Crypto-Sticks MomentumOur last update for today, in the Crypto-Sticks series. More to come soon!
Here's an example of how to use the Crypto-Sticks Momentum for trading signals. I also plotted this range's signals the indicator would've generated.
Momentum can be a tricky indicator sometimes. Since it doesnt go into predictable overbought or oversold zones, it rather just oscillates around zero - making it harder to create a signals strategy. On the default view I tend to look for 2 candle "flat tops" and "flat bottoms" with one or both containing a decent wick.
Heiken Ashi candles adds some more clear entry exit points which can be executed at the second candle going in either direction (applicable only to this chart on 4H - other coins/charts will require their own strategy). For instance, enter on 2nd green, exit on 2nd red. The heiken candles seem to give longer term trades which I like... hate overtrading!
Volume weighting the HA candles adds a different dimension to the indicator which I have to explore more fully.
If using either HA or VW+HA, the strategy about "flat candles" doesnt apply anymore. Please leave me any ideas or feedback you have!
The signal was to go long at 1130 with a target of 1250 on the upside at the first resistance area. Stoploss at 1075.
Here's how it looks as Heiken Ashi:
