$GM Breakout updateBullish flows all week pushed GM past ATH today with strong volume. For short term targets I have set the previous wave 4 as my fib lvl 0 and nearest previous high as 100. I'll be using the 1.618 as my first target. My second target is the 1.618 from the trend it broke out from. Any pullback from 60 should be bought until EMAs show otherwise.
How stupidly pumptarded can the market get?Market is in a bubble, you can tell by looking at auto manufacturers like GM. Since GM went bankrupt and I can't chart 1998, I am using F as a surrogate.
You can see that during the Dot Com bubble, F wound up trading at 3x it's normal range. GM is only at 50% normal range right now, so there is plenty more room for the market to get stupid.
Also note that it took 3 years to go back to normal. So in essence, I expect the market to go parabolic, then come down when inflation hits and the Feds are forced to raise rates in 2 years. We already know even the slightest increase in rates can tank the market, imagine what happens when he has to raise it from zero?
GM Quick Dip?Seems like they have taken the correct measures in stay afloat. However, price is as high as it's ever been and I just don't see a continuation to the upside. Seems like they are depending on SUV sales and EV plans. Seems like a Hummer '21 release by fall. Earnings Report coming up. Q3 was strong for them. I'm taking an educated guess on price dipping down a littler after the released report.
What do you think?
GMOriginally took this trade on 11/11/ 2020. GM!! really didn't make sense but it was setting up; formed a VCP.. earnings increasing; good sector but I got impatient after sideways movement. Then, Mark Minervini metioned entering in his Twitter feed; I took a look and re-entered. A much better entry.
