Gold Setup Idea: Pre New York (Oct 5, 2022)Analyzing price action from the past 2 Sessions, Asia and London, I see bears stepping in. The Bulls are hitting daily resistance and may need to breathe. Asia and Pre-London both retested the high formed, both Monday + Tuesday were very bullish days, so I am not going to be surprised if we see a Bearish NY session today, or possibly some consolidation. But what I am looking for is price to break the 1H Support, and then form a LTF resistance; once the resistance low is broken I will enter my short trade assuming the range is still 50+ pips.

Gold Setup Idea: Pre New York (Oct 4, 2022)Please note that these long and short positions are not at all strategically positioned; instead I simply am showing a general idea of what price could do, so please set your own SL and TP. But the fact is price has been extremely bullish since last week when the weekly candle respected a supply zone. Price is now retracing which shows us the bullish daily candles, and today may be another bullish day. I could envision price forming support pre-ny on 30M timeframe around $1700 level for another retest of london high, and then potentially further. But if price returns bearish on 1H and close below $1700, and then continues below $1695, sells could be very good too. Let us see what NY has in store for us. Also, News at 8am to remember.

Gold Setup Idea: Pre New York (Sept 28, 2022)Gold has made new lows at $1614.68 and now violently retraced back into $1631, all while I was asleep :D Now, here is what I see: Price is still HTF bearish and could return bearish in NY to retest the london lows. But, with the strong impulse reaction to the new lows, bears are fighting more bulls, so it could be more of a consolidation or bullish day as well; it really depends on how Pre-NY reacts to this price action, from there I can form more of a long/short bias. Ideally I would like to see LTF resistance form - a bull candle followed by a bear candle - and then the following candle to break the low of the newly formed resistance. No news major news today either. With dollar strength I would love to short Gold back down to $1614 but we will see if the bulls allow for that. What is your bias today?
