Binance investigated for alleged investment app crypto scamsRecently the FIA, an acronym for the federal agency dedicated to investigation and cybercrimes in the United States, announced that it would be investigating Binance operations. The federal body is investigating a crypto scam that links to the popular exchange, according to reports.
• Binance agents in Pakistan must testify regarding links to crypto scams.
FIA sent Binance an order of attendance to Hamza Khan, the head of analysis at the Pakistan-based exchange. The order shows that Khan could be involved with crypto scams using fake apps to encourage people to invest their money.
The federal body also sent a questionnaire to Binance based in the United States and the Cayman Islands to clarify things. The investigations opened early on Friday, January 7, 2022, and could show progress in the coming weeks.
FIA clarifies that for some time, crypto investment fraud has been observed within Pakistan and the Ponzi methods, where the trader loses all his money for an ROI that never comes. The FIA does not point to the exchange as a fraudulent crypto company, but it does expect its head of analysis in the country of South Asia to give testimony.
Investigation
I couldn't resist rolling the diceI rolled the dice on a far out-of-the-money July 31 Tesla put this afternoon after Elon Musk tweeted at the SEC to suck his cock. If I'm wrong, it's no big deal to lose $60. If I'm right, maybe I'll make a quick c-note when news of an accounting fraud investigation breaks.

Tesla is also under investigation by the NHTSA for allegedly covering up an issue with their battery cooling system that they knew could set the car on fire. My put might pay off if that investigation were to turn something up, too. On top of all that, Tesla shot up over the last few days on hype around its delivery numbers. So we may be in the "sell the news" part of the stock's cycle as we head into next week. I promised myself I would never short this stock, but what can I say? I'm an inveterate gambler, apparently. XD
Short on Facebook, Google, Amazon and AppleThe Federal Trade Commission will be in charge of any antitrust investigations into Facebook, according to a new report in the Wall Street Journal Monday. It’s part of an arrangement that permits the Justice Department to investigate Google while handing over Facebook and Amazon to the FTC. On Friday, reports surfaced that the Justice Department was preparing to open an antitrust probe into Google. It wasn’t immediately clear exactly what part of Google’s business that the Department would be investigating, but shortly after the news broke, The Washington Post confirmed that The FTC would be at the reigns of any investigations into Amazon.
Nokia potentially oversold on the alcatel lucent newsFundamentals:
Nokia took a big hit after stating that they are starting an internal investigation on alcatel lucent which they have bought. Investors reacted pretty hard to this and the stock was diving more that -8% during that day. It of course could be that there will be some negative facts to be found and in the worst case even some fines to be had. So there is of course a risk associated with longing the stock at this point.
However, let's consider this from a different perspective. The company decided willingly to start investigation and they contacted officials by themselves and they do not expect any concrete consequences on the company itself based on the investigation results. Of course this is their own statement and view on the matter and they would ideally always want to make it look like a minor thing even if it weren't. However, considering the other possibility that there won't be anything significant to be found on the investigations and there won't be any fines. The stock has dived more that -5% based on these news and the fear of the potential results. If nothing will be found this would suggest the stock was significantly oversold and should be looking to recover.
Techical side:
The technical side is quite simplistic. RSI9 shows that the stock is on the edge of being oversold and looking at the previous behavior the level 30 has often provided support and the price has bounced up. Sometimes of course this has been violated and can be the case here as well. However just considering the option that after the stock has been up and being valuated at the previous levels 5.25 - 5.6 after Q4 report it would be quite hard to believe the proper value would be below 5€ which is of course a very important support level.
Considering the both sides on this price crash I would suggest that Nokia is currently oversold and will be recovering when the investigations continue and if they show no concrete results suggesting significant fines to be had. I'd be looking to long Nokia now or at the fibonacci support at 5.065 which has been already tested briefly once. Stop loss should be placed below 5.065 support or 5.00 depending on your risk tolerance and personal view on how confident you are on these news.
Lastly considering the option that the investigations bring up skeletons in the closet and significant fines are had then the stop loss is still quite small and the potential reward in my opinion clearly out weights the risk.
GE: CSI Wall Street: Charts V Fundamentals - Truth V BeliefGE Nature of the Beast
GE is a 3/6 stock - it builds in multiples of 3 and 6: 60 all time high, 6 crash low to 33 post crash high. Last cycle high
42. This year's big numbers are 33, 27, a massive break at 24 (last kiss at 23.82) followed by a $6 straight fall to 18 where it
languishes now after a low for the year at 17.48. It really likes these numbers, as is plain to see to anyone who cares to
examine the charts, long term and short. These numbers hide in plain sight. It's a beautiful, faithful stock - in some ways as
beautiful as Bitcoin, except for bears, ever since it hit the top parallel back in mid 2016.
Each of the last three rally attempts have all been 100 pips before GE crashes lower still. Price has memory, in that when
a large corrective pattern such as this is eventually broken, price accelerates, the brakes/parallels have failed, and it will
seek support from old structure lows and highs from the past - just as GE is doing now. It's therefore likely to make a final
low at one of two spots: Where it is now at 18.00-17.48 - or 300 pips lower at 14.50. The fact that it has only been able to
rally 100 pips again from 17.48 is not a good sign but it cannot be shorted unless 17.40 gives way at any point - in which
case it's a worthwhile sell back to 14.55 where it then becomes a buy again with stops 20 points lower, requiring a complete
reversal at that point if 14.55 is then struck.
It's not much better than 50/50 here as things stand, with nothing for bulls to hang their hats on yet other than price
stopping at the only support left above 14.50. Some might prefer to stand back and watch to see if 17.40 gives way,
turning the odds from 50/50 to closer to 80-90% and looking to short here and buy back from 14.55 and get long again.
That would be so much clearer and simpler and looks very likely given a little more time.
For GE to show that the low is here, at 18.05 -17.48 it has to hold up at 17.48 on any retest Tuesday and rally at least 120
pips from 17.48 and then use 18.05 as support on any subsequent pull-back. It should then attract more buyers up
to 19.39 where it's likely to fall away again.
