IOST set up for breakout - EMA crossing strategyHello everyone and welcome to this analysis on BINANCE:IOSTBTC .
On this analysis I will use the EMA crossing strategy on the hour chart. Usually I am using it in wider timeframes too avoid fakeouts.
Reminder on EMA crossing strategy:
-RSI under 70
-EMA 26 crosses EMA 52
-Low volume on MACD (optional)
-4 hours chart (for 4%-10% gains)
-1 hour chart (for 3%-6% gains)
As you can see the technical tool that I am using and has been rewarding to me is based on the EMA 52,26,12 using the 4 hour chart. A crossover of the EMA 52 and 26 is a sign of a beginning of a trend. In this case you can see that the EMA 26 has crossed the EMA 52 few hours ago, but has not yet started the breakout that we are here to catch. I have drawn a triangle (in blue) in which the price has been trading and is expected to make its run up or down. In order to assess if the price will make a move upward or downward, the EMA crossing strategy helps us make a decision. The fact that the EMA crossover happened few hours ago is not a problem considering the fact that if the breakout did not occur already then the price is likely to have a short pullback before exploding.
You can notice that I have drawn a thin green trend line representing a smaller triangle in the bigger one. This is where the price, if it goes past the green line, will show a first burst that will fuel the next rally.
Aggressive approach:
Long at market price to avoid sudden breakout.
Stop loss below lower edge of triangle.
Take profit at past resistance (upper red dotted line).
Potential profit of approx. 4%.
Conservative approach:
Long at lower edge of triangle.
Stop loss just above past support (lower green dotted line).
Take profit just under resistance level (upper green dotted line).
Potential profit of approx. 6%.
N.B: This strategy safely works for short term price movements. For example, my take profits are usually between 4 and 8%. Additionally, I use 2% of my portfolio per trade with a risk/reward ratio of 2.

IOST still looking decent. I think it will break to the upside. It bounced off the upper trend line really sharply, basically the as soon as it hit 461 it triggered a heap of sell orders and shot down. Some volume is coming in, tons more sell orders than buy, makes me unsure as to whether IOST has the power for any kind of serious uptrend. I think it needs BTC to go on some level of bullrun to divert some sell orders away.
BTC i think is going to be in a minor uptrend for the time being, but it has been very erratic. It poses some risk with bringing this all unhinged, but i feel its good for a day or 2.

Im deciding to stay in and try to hit my target 1. Not sure if i will stick around on this trade afterwards, just not sure if overall interest/volume is here yet for it to break hard to the top of this ascending channel. But then what do i know?! haha. Been very tempted to take the next 460 right before contact with trend line and vamoose, but think i will try and tough it out on this since many indicators look decent.
IOST - the run before big announcementIOStoken has an announcement that is scheduled for tomrorow, the 9th. I won't play the speculation game here and try to guess what the announcement is but the CEO has been spending quite some time in Korea. Is it a new partnership? A new exchange? Who knows, only time will tell. A rising wedge is depicted in my graph and I believe we'll retrace back a bit to the 480s before finishing off point E of the wedge before taking off. My target pre-announcement is around 600 sats. There will no doubt be a dip prior to the release of the news, and depending on the news... IOStoken can skyrocket or dump hard if the news does not match the hype. Regardless, IOS is a longterm investment for me so small price fluctuation will not matter much.

I am posting this for educational purposes and I am not instructing you on whether to buy or sell IOST, or giving financial advise: I expected a sell-off due to the nature of the "Big announcement". The dump is due to people who have bought in "just in case" the price rocketed. Rumours had been circulated on social media that Apple was going to partner with IOST. This obviously created a lot of FOMO and if a merchant like Apple or Amazon were going to consider this the first stage would be a proof of concept trial (POC). We must also take into account the fact that the Binance are currently running a competition and will be giving away 5 million IOST to the winners. To win a share of the prize pool you have to have a minimum of 100,000 IOST in your wallet at the close of the competition on April 13th 00:00AM UST. The competition was announced on the 4th April and commenced 7th April 00:00AM UST 0.72% which accounts for the significant increase in volume and price on those 2 dates. If we take these elements out of the equation IOST was on a consistent uptrend and was performing extremely well. This project has a great team, has made significant progress in achieving their roadmap. The project received seed funding from three VC -1.22% firms. If you are not familiar with how venture capital works this type of investment takes place based on a 5 to 10 year strategy. In many cases the investment is made with the expectation it will not reach maturity for 8 to 10 years. This is why I have invested heavily in IOST and am taking a long position. We can expect another sell-off at the end of the Binance competition, however, I am not concerned by this at all. The trades I am making at the moment are to enable me add more IOST to my portfolio and capitalize on compounding. Feedback is always appreciated. Tiempo de indesicion, posible breakout IOST ha mostrado una tendencia alcista, gracias a que ha tenido noticias y ahora con la competencia de Binance, tuvo una alza hasta los 445 satoshis.
Tiene un anuncio el 9 de Abril a menos que sea un gran anuncio, podría dispararse el precio, pero si no es así como en la mayoría de los casos, el precio caería bajo el dicho, "compra el rumor, vende la noticia"
El análisis que he realizado muestra un tiempo de indecision, en donde se ha formado un triangulo simétrico en un chart de 4H, esto indica que tanto puede hacer un breakout alcista como a la baja.
Tomando en cuenta el volumen que ha tenido que es a la baja, además bitcoin siguiendo con la corrección, podría esperar una corrección.
También a considerar es la competencia de Binance.
Si se analiza las monedas que han participado en esta competencia, por lo general en el anuncio suben y cuando comienza la competencia van cayendo conforme pasa el tiempo y cuando este finaliza vuelven a subir.
Veo tres posibles escenarios
Para traders arriesgados
Entrar entre 397, 415 satoshis que ha mostrado una gran soporte,
Colocar un stop loss por debajo de este soporte y esperar al siguiente movimiento
Escenario positivo:
Si se quiere entrar en IOST sin menos riesgo, mi recomendación es que se espere hasta que se confirme el breakout.
Escenario negativo.
El breakout es hacia abajo, esperar a que se complete la corrección, Fib(.382, 382 satoshis) y Fib .5( 316 satoshis)
La MACD en un chart de 4H indica que es tiempo de vender.
El RSI a 4H se encuentra en un intervalo neutral, pero el RSI de 1D se encuentra casi tocando los 70 que es una clara indicación de venta y por lo tanto una corrección.
Factor Binance
Tomando el histórico de la mayoría de las competiciones, casi siempre sube la moneda al momento del anuncio, se mantiene el precio para que el FOMO obligue a entrar a los que quieran participar, después por lo general el precio va cayendo gradualmente, lo cual tiene sentido pues desean acumular la mayor cantidad de tokens a un precio más barato, y después al termino del evento el precio sube.
Esto es lo he notado en la mayoría de los casos con algunas excepciones.

IOSTBTC Tiny Elliott Waves at play after rock bottom. IOST has hit rock bottom and I believe the 5-3 Elliott Wave has played out to 354 Satoshis. But is this just the first part of wave one? Has the pullback and correction started yet? That bottom isn't very far down, so I'm excited to see what this chart does. Who knows, this may just be the first of the waves!

Probable 200% profit opportunity with IOST.ENGLISH : $IOST is heading to a decesive moment in its life. It's going to battle once again with this major downtrend line originated back in 28th January. IOST has never beat it, so a victory here could mean a correction of months of losing value (~200% profit opportunity mid/long-term). A loss, though, would mean the currency will probably go down even lower until it finds a new bottom. Let's watch it carefully!

The fundamentals are strong for IOST. Capable and professional team.
Smart contracts and DApps. Unique and scalable Proof-of-Believability mechanism.
Added note: If something as rubbish as TRON and XRP tokens (with no usable function) can reach 40c and $3.30 with a 100 billion total supply each respectively, then IOST with 21 billion can certainly reach minimum that price if not higher.
IOST has lower total supply compared to ADA which was also sitting at the current dollar price
Technicals:
Difficult to trace future price for a new token, but current price is almost x4 lower than what it was (end of Januray to present).
Sellers have almost run dry based on volume. Descending triangle pattern could indicate beginning of bullish sentiment and investment.
Long-term price prediction in USD terms $0.4-$1+ (depends on BTC/USD price rise)
My opinion: a good long-term hold
