Kumba Iron Ore new Cup and Handle showing major upside to R686.3Cup and Handle has formed aver the last year.
Price broke above the brim level but then moved sideways. During the time it was making higher lows which is bullish by nature, but we haven't had the push we need.
Hence, the price is retesting the Brim which is forming a conservative entry for breakout traders.
7>21>200 - Bullish
RSI>50 - Bullish
Target R686.33

DRD showing mixed signals with bullish bias - Target R15.00Uptrend channel is continuing for DRD Gold
Price >200MA - Bullish
21 >7 - Bearish
RSI = 50 bearish divergence.
Target R15.00
Fundamentals:
DRDGOLD, a company, is getting ready to release its results for the last six months of 2022. They are telling shareholders that they think their earnings per share and headline earnings per share will be between 59.5 cents and 68.1 cents per share, which is an increase of 2.6% to 17.4% compared to the same period in the previous year. The increase is mainly due to higher revenue, which went up by 6% to R2,654.3 million.
OVERALL:
There are mixed signals between technicals and fundamentals, but with the upward channel still intact, my bias remains more bullish.
Ascending Triangle breakout and retestOn the 1st of Feb the price on JSE:ABG broke out of the ascending triangle it has been trading in. It has since retreated and gone back into the triangle. It seems as though it is currently retesting the levels at the apex of the triangle. If it breaks through the triangle again, I believe we will be in for a nice long position. The target would be around the 227 level.
GFI trade update not lookign good - We hit a red flagGold Fields we made a BROAD analysis over the medium term.
As it is one of the smaller gold companies, I like to widen the stop loss and take profit accordingly.
So, it's not hit our stop loss yet at R173.80. But it has broken below the uptrend.
Best we can do is just wait, hold and hope.
But if it doesn't work out it's just another 1.5% loss on the portfolio, never a biggy.
#OMN - Omnia consolidating in triangle continuationOmnia seems to be consolidating in a healthy fashion in the form of a triangle continuation pattern. Good chance in this resolving higher and your stops can be pretty tight on this. Triangle breakout could see it move to approx R95 so not a bad risk reward trade here.
How to be a LASER Trader!Rinse and repeat.
That’s it…
It’s one simple little acronym you’ll never forget…
Ready?
LASER your TRADES
1: Look
The first thing you’ll need to do, is to go through your watchlist very quickly.
A watch list is a list of markets you’ll LOOK through when finding trades.
These markets can range from anything including shares, indices, commodities, currencies and crypto-currencies.
When you have your watch list, you’ll go through the list and get a feel for how the markets have moved for the day.
Example:
Before I trade anything, I LOOK at the JSE All Share 40 stocks that are in my watch list.
I then run through them briefly to see how the markets are performing.
2: Analyse
The second round of going through your watch list, is where you’ll look for specific trading setups.
Whether you trade using price action, patterns, indicators, volume etc…
This is where you’ll ANALYSE the charts individually.
Also with this step you’ll write down potential trades that are lining up.
3: Setup
The third step is to go back to the markets that you’ve written down – which you’re looking to trade.
You’ll then do your simple trading calculations and place your chart SETUPS so you can see where your trading levels are.
EXAMPLE:
If I see a trade that’s lined up, I’ll draw horizontal levels showing where my entry, Stop loss (risk) and take profit (reward) levels are…
I like to use:
Blue for entry
Red for stop loss
Green for take profit
4: Execute
You’re ready to JUST TAKE THE TRADE!
And then you’ll place your entry, stop loss and take profit levels. You’ll choose how many CFDs you’ll need to buy according to your money management rules.
And then hit trade!
5: Record
As soon as you’ve successfully taken the trade, head over to your journal (excel document) and record your trade transaction.
That’s how to be a LASER Trader…
And on a daily or weekly basis, you’ll repeat those steps…
Hulamin just got a sell signal to R2.25!M Formation has formed on Daily.
Things have been looking very bad for Hulmain for the last year now.
200 >21> 7 - Bearish
RSI <50 and bearish divergence
Target R2.25
General info:
Hulamin (est. 1935) is a South African aluminium rolled products manufacturer and distributor, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).
They produce a wide range of aluminium products, including plate, sheet, and foil products.
The company has a strong focus on innovation and has developed a number of unique and patented aluminium products.
There seems to be trouble in the Aluminium space. Either there is an overcapacity, lower demand, better alternatives and higher competition or there is a shift taking place where consumers are turning more and more to renewable sources. This is going to hamper the prices further with these companies.
The Foschini Group Waiting for a break up to R140.24Broken out of downtrend since September 2022
Cup and Handle has formed in the interim (with the handle in play).

Spar showing mixed signals but bullish bias to R160.11Spar has formed an Inverse Head and Shoulders
Since it hit our Short sell target, it's been forming the pattern.
However, as with most markets we are getting a bit of mixed signals.
7>21 <200 (Mixed)
RSI >50 Bullish but turning.
My target remains to be R160.11 but this is a medium probability trade.
Prosus hit our price target at R1,445 and enters into a bullSince we sent out the trade idea on Prosus, it formed a beautiful Cup and Handle which broke our of the brim level.
7>21>200 Moving averages all looked perfect and RSI was above 50 Green backgrounds all around.
The first target he set was to R1,445.20. WHich it hit last week.
Now unfortunately, there is no other chart pattern that's formed but instead a bull (rising) channel is on the way.
This is where trend traders will ride it on up until the trend breaks.
It doesn't give us breakout traders a good entry level but for others I'm sure they can raise their trailing stops and keep it going.
