Indicators that Warn of a Top or Bottom Before It HappensHybrid Leading Indicators use all 3 data sets from each transaction that occurs in the stock market. Today this lesson talks about Chaikin Oscillator and Chaikin MFI. Both are used on the same chart as the volume oscillator reveals the volume and price correlation to what the Dark Pool Buy Side institutions are buying or selling for long term holds. The oscillator also shows pro trader activity and indicates with a spike to the top or bottom of its chart a probable reversal of the trend the next day. When the Oscillator spikes to the top, then a profit taking day by pros or a run down is likely the next day.
When the oscillator hits a V shape at the bottom of the chart, the stock price is likely to move up the next day, warning those selling short to exit quickly. The oscillator also shows topping price and volume changes before the Flat Top forms. It also shows Bottoming development before the recent rebound in $NASDAQ:PYPL.
Money Flowing into or out of a stock is also a critical analysis for swing traders as it confirm whether you should continue swing trading to the upside OR if you should switch quickly to selling short. MFI in this chart is harmonious with the oscillator, both confirming a strong indication of the direction the stock will take over the next few days.
A bottoming formation starts well ahead of the actual final low. This is important to recognize early when selling short, to avoid a huge whipsaw day that can cause huge sell short losses.
When you can read the chart as easily as you read a book, your Spatial Pattern Recognition Skills are finely tuned and you can be proud to be a member of the semi-professional retail swing traders. Let that be your goal, along with consistent profits with minimal losses.
Raise your expectations.
Trade Wisely,

Largelots
Controlled Large Lot Selling Pattern: TMUSTelecom Industry stocks hit the wall of Market Saturation some time ago. NASDAQ:TMUS has a pattern that indicates a controlled selling mode of larger lots before the earnings report. There has been more volume to the downside and money is flowing out of the stock while the price action develops a narrow sideways range. Risk for a breakout to the downside is high.
Dark Pool Buy Zones for Trading Momentum or VelocityDark Pool buy zones, identified with Relational Technical Analysis of the candlestick patterns and where they form in the long-term trend, along with indicators that reveal large-lot activity, are the key to preparing early for momentum to velocity runs for swing trading, position trading and even for planning long-term investments.
NYSE:CHWY is working on a bottom, finally basing and now starting to test the bottom completion level. This can be a strong resistance level where Pro Traders who started a swing trade from the lows are likely to take profits.
Often we see a sideways action develop at this level, the lows of which are usually confined by the support level built on the way up.
This would be the level to watch for the next buy entry signal. If it consolidates narrowly or briefly, then there is potential for a momentum swing trade. If it platforms a little wider but within the last support level, then a position trade entry can develop.
$COIN: Stalled for NowThe Weekly Chart of NASDAQ:COIN shows that the stock has been struggling to build a bottom despite some early buying from large lots within the sideways action of the bottoming range.
Coinbase has future growth potential as an investment, but the CEO and Board need to realize that the SEC rules the securities markets and that Cryptos, as digital assets, are securities that must be registered properly.
So it is likely to stall here until the Board and CEO realize they have to behave like grownups when dealing with the SEC.
