The Spur Group is ready to rocket to R23.96Spur Bull Box has formed and the price broke up and out of it.

Target R23.96
CONCERNS:
This stock is definitely NOT in my trading list. The liquidity is low, the candles volatility are high.
The price jumps all over the place and doesn't show any strong signs it works with breakout patterns.
Also the price patterns can move sideways for a long period of time.
Maybe for an investor it's ok to hold, but with trading it won't work.

$DPZ short ideaJust in line with the market $SPY $ES_F a short setup here. Chart looks really weak, indexes look weak, so going for it with a good r/r.
Similar companies got some moves $PZZA $YUM $CMG but this one not even that, so someone might say that it is time for a pump -- well I'm betting the opposite, puke.
NEW SERIES! Some Picks of Stocks From Restaurant Industry!Hi,
I would like to start covering different sectors/industries and selecting stocks that are or may be relevant in the future from the point of view of technical analysis.
Starting with Restaurants, searched out more than 60 companies, and here are some picks which are technically "the best ones".
Obviously, Do Your Own Analysis! To be said I don't invest them all, I'm only interested in a few of them, these are just some ideas that you should consider. Do your fundamental analysis and I will bet that it narrows the selection quite strongly because this industry is risky. Still, rewards might be also quite decent ;)
If you like this kind of series then name the next industry/sector in the comment section that might look interesting for you! Name it, tell me why you name it!

Keep in mind fundamental analysis tells you WHAT to buy, technical analysis tells you WHEN to buy.
I gave just some ideas about when to buy but you have to do your own analysis what to buy and whether to buy at all!
Hopefully, you like it and it would be awesome to start another series about stocks and sectors considering technical analysis- and do not forget to name your favorite sector on the comment section!

Vaido

Benefit from both online and covid recoveryDuring the covid time, online good ordering became mainstream. One think which striked me was restaurants often time used a different platforms when they handle in-restaurant order and online order. Thats why you could see a lot of different terminals sitting next to the restaurant kitchen...because they would have to install one per delivery services...plus the one they used in-house.
I often time ask myself would it be nice if all these could consolidate?
I found the answer when I went to Shake Shack last week... i was queuing up in front of their casher and I notice they promoting to their customer to use a web based ordering system which allowed you to skip the queue. I took a look and its actually the same app for their customer to order online.
I dig deeper and found that the system was actually by NYSE:OLO a New York City-based B2B SaaS company that develops digital ordering and delivery programs for restaurants.
While the stock market has been battling since early 2021, traditional (recovery) vs transformational (new tech and everything online), how come we couldn't find the right investment target that catered both?
Apparently OLO is my pick.
I have entered into position since 39 and will take 10% as my cut loss point and strong hold.

(I want to see how far price can fall before it shoots up.)
This consumer stock will explore (Xiabuxiabu)For those who do not live in China or have never been to China, you probably dont know about this company.
HKEX:520 is actually the largest chain of hotpot restaurant in China.
In their recent pre-release of annual result, they have declared the earnings has decliend by 90%...but yet their stock price didn't fall on that day...on the contrary it was a green day for them because the downfall in profitability was due to Covid..meaning the current price is actually a bottom line for their stock.
If you look at their price action, apparently it has consolidated at around 17.5 a share and its gradually gaining momentum to break-up the downward trend line and once it does, i m sure it would spike towards the 20 dollar mark.
With the cut loss price set at the recent low at 15-ish, there is a great 2:1 risk reward ratio for an entry to this stock.
Remember that China is almost totally recovered from the pandemic and its expecting to achieve 6% GDP growth this year. The next annual report of Xiabuxiabu could only be better so as its share price
Malaise for > quarter: Telecoms, Fast food, and Consumer staplesThese important sectors have not been booming for over a quarter (no Robinhooders around these sectors, and not worth a Reddit meme) -
- Telecommunications: T, VZ, TMUS
- Quick service fast food restaurants: MCD, YUM, WEN
- Consumer Staples (ETF is XLP): household products PG, CL, CLX: food MDLZ, GIS
MTY GambleProbably on the companies that got hit hardest by Covid and the pandemic. Still trying to find its way back to pre covid levels. This can be a great long term buy. I was in this at 28 and sold at 50. Will look to get in again if we see sub 45. Their focus is food court restaurants which are still recovering from lockdowns. Some of their franchises include Thai Express and Valentine.
Could be worth a shot. Resistance is 55 right now but we could see $60 and even $70 in the next few months of things get back ok track.
More of a opinion based on fundamentals then technicals. I believe they are a very good company.
$WING can rise in the next daysContextual immersion trading strategy idea.
Wingstop Inc., together with its subsidiaries, franchises and operates restaurants under the Wingstop brand name. Its restaurants offer classic wings, boneless wings, and tenders that are cooked-to-order, and hand-sauced and tossed in various flavors.
The demand for shares of the company still looks higher than the supply.
This and other conditions can cause a rise in the share price in the next days.
So I opened a long position from $133,85;
stop-loss — $131,80.
Information about take-profits will be later.

Shift Payments Strong Buy --> IPO Scheduled TomorrowFirst off, please don't take anything I say seriously or as financial advice. As always, everything I say is on an opinion based basis. If anybody is excited for some potential IPO opportunities, Shift payments definitely looks like one of them. The price proposed at at $21, seems reasonable when looking at A) Competitors such as PayPal and Square B) Recent POS growth for restaurants post-Covid C) Financial expectancies. After missing the ZI IPO, I definitely think this one is one to watch out for + potentially hold. If it doubles, and I were to buy it than, I would sale and reinvest in the dip or hold depending on market activity. Either way, looks to be a strong buy.
GRIL: $2.84 Short Target + Long PotentialFirst off, please don't take anything I say seriously or as financial advice. As always, this is on opinion based basis. That being said, let me get into my key points. GRIL recently went into the market at what some may call wrong timing for the restaurant era. This is due to the Covid period, which is likely why they are suffering a really bad bearish run right now. (Talk about IPO'ing at the wrong time). However, compared to competition, they have A) Much higher growth potential B) Right now the resistance isn't as high as it still could be given the time period we are in. The market cap is small, but after the 3.45% growth today and seeing that there is still price correction potential, I have my hopes up.
Major disruption coming in meat industryThe Nasdaq Food and Beverage ETF is entering a major downturn as the US is beginning to experience major disruptions in the meat market. Yesterday the McDonald's CEO announced that they've had no supply-chain disruptions yet, but they're watching the situation "hour by hour" and are very concerned about it. Later that day, I heard my first story of a McDonald's that has stopped selling burgers because beef is too expensive. The problem is basically that meat processors can't keep up with orders due to labor shortages. As you can see, FTXG has broken below its moving averages and may lead the market downward as the situation develops.
$JACK can rise in the next daysContextual immersion trading strategy idea.
Jack in the Box operates and franchises Jack in the Box quick-service restaurants.
The demand for shares of the company looks higher than the supply.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, the company's revenue fell.
But the share price fell more and the company looks oversold.
These and other conditions can cause a rise in the share price in the next days.
So I opened a long position from $52,74;
stop-loss — $49,57.
Information about take-profits will be later.

Sorry PapaPapa gonna take it in the shorts. I forgot about this guy and this company until I saw his recent interview.
-Good R:R
-At important fib levels and historical resistance
-I'm bearish on restaurants anyway due to slowing growth so this lines up with my forecast of this sector
-I don't see a lot of demand for Papa's and if it sells of I wouldn't expect a lot of support until major areas of value.

$RAVE Is A Sinking Ship, Don't Buy The Dip$RAVE continues to look like it's heading for the trash heap. A reshuffling of management on Friday failed to instil any confidence in the market and the stock dropped 32%. This is one stock to avoid or for aggressive traders, go short.

DRI - Let's Go Out For A BiteDRI had a gap up on an earnings announcement back on March 21st. The top of this gap became support while the stock price continued to rise. This rise in price created a bearish divergence with the RSI indicator.
The earnings release in September led to a gap down. The price actually consolidated just below the March gap. Friday's trading has the price testing the resistance level of the March gap zone with the stock finding strength.
DRI is finding relative strength within the Restaurant industry but still needs some more time to see if it is gaining strength on the SPX. If the price continues to rise I would expect a re-test of the bottom of the gap down zone around $122.
