Weekly GEX of SPX | Option Chain Analysis for Option TradersI’d like to share my thoughts below after analyzing the SPX option chain. In this analysis, I focus exclusively on the weekly time range, examining the SPX option chain and the changes in top-tier options metrics.
🔶 Breakout and Bullish Outlook
Last Friday's price action saw the SPX break through the 5800 call gamma wall, generating strong bullish momentum . This breakout opens the door for further upward movement throughout the week, especially if buying pressure persists. Breaking through a call gamma wall often leads to a rapid price increase, as these levels act as resistance, but once broken, they support further upward moves.
However, caution is advised, as additional call gamma levels (around 5850 and 5875) could act as resistance, where the price may stall. These levels can reverse roles and, if the price falters, could act as significant resistance, potentially leading to a pullback toward the 5800 level.
🔴 Put Skew and IVx Changes
The put pricing skew on the Options Oscillator shows a declining trend, meaning that while put options are still more expensive than calls at equivalent strikes, this trend is softening when looking at the November expiration. This indicates a weakening of put options relative to calls, which could be another bullish signal as demand for puts may be declining.
The five-day IVx average declining , indicating a decrease in market volatility = VIX is melting down.
🟨 Backwardation and Diagonal/Calendar Strategy Opportunities
It's also worth noting the 10.5% backwardation based on the IV skew for the expirations between 10/18 and 10/21 (4/7DTE). This backwardation (downward sloping volatility curve) could benefit calendar and diagonal spread strategies, as options with different expirations have varying volatility conditions.
🔶 GEX Wall Levels: Where Is Support and Resistance?
🔹Gamma Exposure (GEX) levels continue to play a crucial role in the market’s movements:
🔹On the upside, the largest call gamma wall for the next 7 days is at 5850, while the 5875 level may also act as significant resistance. The 5875 is a more likely a realistic bullish target, supported by the Options Overlay’s blue OTM delta 16 probability curve.
🔹On the downside, the 5750 put support level currently offers strong support, with sellers forming a barrier here. The 5800 level is also interesting because it was the largest call gamma level last week, meaning there could be significant volatility as bulls and bears battle around this point.
(NOTE: GEX levels is not part of the TanukiTrade Options Overlay indicator yet. The automatic GEX levels will be available by the end of October.)
🟨 How Delta 16 Curves Define My Rational Price Range in Options Trading
The blue OTM Delta 16 curves from the Options Overlay define the rational probability range for me based on a lognormal distribution. This is important because there’s a 68% chance the price will stay within this range by expiration. These values are also visible in the Overlay Expiry table.
This represents the 68% probability range defined by OTM 16 delta PUTs and OTM 16 delta CALLs, showing a clear directional expected move value. It provides an insightful view of the expected price movement’s directional range, often used by delta-neutral strangle traders like those at TastyTrade.
⅀ SPX Summary
The SPX options chain is showing a bullish direction with the breakout above 5800, but it will be key to watch the gamma levels where the market might stall this week. The rising IV and declining put skew trend could provide further signals that the bull market might continue, but the possibility of resistance or a pullback remains. For those considering diagonal strategies, the backwardation may offer interesting opportunities to capitalize on.
(NOTE: GEX levels is not part of the TanukiTrade Options Overlay indicator yet. The automatic GEX levels will be available soon, by the end of October!)

Gilead Sciences (GILD): Will Support Hold or Will We See a Drop? We've neglected Gilead Sciences for a while, but it's time for an update. Unfortunately, our entry looking back wasn't ideal, as the stock has fallen below the 61.8% retracement level. It found support just below the 78.6% level, which marks the bottom of our range. This level was precisely touched, and we saw a relatively good movement upward from there.
However, the outlook remains uncertain. We hope that the stock does not fall below this range bottom, as it would prompt us to consider cutting it. Our first take-profit target is at the range high around $86.5, but reaching this level will take time as Gilead Sciences is currently underperforming.
Unlike most other stocks, Gilead Sciences operates in the research sector, not the tech sector. This means it follows a different cycle and is influenced by different capital flows. It tends to perform well when tech stocks do poorly. If tech stocks remain bullish, Gilead Science might continue to struggle. However, if there's a shift, Gilead Science could reverse and potentially reach up to $123, though this is quite far off.
We are holding our position for now, hoping not to cut if the stock falls out of the range. If it does, we will take necessary action.

EURUSD Daily Analysis - A downward movement is expected towards Throughout the first day of the new week EURUSD remained consolidated at the levels of 1.0960/85.
Today at 6 o'clock GMT we expect data on Industrial Production for the month of August in Germany, with expectations for a growth of 0.8% compared to the previous month, where we had a drop of -2.4%.
The Eurogroup Meeting is another key event of the day that is likely to have an impact on currency markets.
A little later in the day, however, the Bank of New Zealand is expected to cut interest rates more aggressively by 0.5% following the new trend of interest rate cuts around the world.
From World-Signals.com, we expect a slight strengthening of the Euro, but it is very likely that the downward trend will continue towards the end of the week. Bet on a strategy to sell on slight bounces up to 1.1010+ with daily gains of 20-35 pips or short positions with bigger gains towards the end of the week.
GBP/USD Faces Continued Bearish PressureThe GBP/USD pair continues to experience downward pressure, primarily due to the resilience of the US Dollar. After breaking the key psychological level of 1.3100 following the release of stronger-than-expected US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) data, GBP/USD remains in a corrective phase. The NFP report showed a job growth of 254K in September, significantly surpassing the 140K forecast. Additionally, the Unemployment Rate dropped to 4.1%, further strengthening the US labor market outlook and reducing the likelihood of aggressive rate cuts by the Federal Reserve (Fed). As a result, the US Dollar has extended its gains, limiting any upward momentum for GBP/USD.
Fundamentally, the Pound remains under pressure due to the dovish rhetoric from Bank of England (BoE) officials. Early Thursday, Governor Andrew Bailey's comments triggered a selloff in the Pound as the market interpreted his remarks as signaling imminent monetary easing. Although BoE Chief Economist Huw Pill struck a more cautious tone, stating that policymakers must avoid cutting rates "too far or too fast," this has done little to offset the bearish sentiment.
In conclusion, the combination of a stronger US Dollar, resilient US labor market data, and the dovish BoE rhetoric creates a challenging environment for GBP/USD. Unless the pair can break through key resistance levels, the path of least resistance remains to the downside, with potential targets at 1.3050 and 1.3000 in the short term.
Daily analyzes of EURUSD - Dollar regains lost positionsAmong the important fundamentals from Monday is Factory Orders for the month of August in Germany from 8am GMT. It is very likely that we will see another contraction that will negatively affect the Euro. In general, the industry in Germany has started to shrink and there are no chances for growth.
The other important news is related to retail sales in the Eurozone at 11am GMT. Although we expect levels around zero or very little growth in retail sales.
Among the world events that affect the currency markets are the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, where mainly the Euro may suffer due to disrupted supplies of both goods and fuels.
Overall, the Dollar will be in a stronger position this week and we at World-Signals.com expect the Dollar to strengthen against the Euro.
In the last week, the Dollar has taken about 200 pips on the Euro. In retrospect, the Dollar had 3 losing weeks, and only in the last one did it regain some of the lost positions.
Use the 1.1010 levels to open short positions with a 6-8 business day closing target.

7 Ways to Optimize Your Trading Strategy Like a ProYou’ve got a trading strategy—great. But if you think that’s where the work ends, think again. A good strategy is like a sports car: It’s fast, fun, and dangerous… unless you keep it tuned and under control. And given how volatile modern trading is, yesterday’s strategy can quickly become tomorrow’s account-drainer. So, how do you keep your trading strategy sharp and in profit mode? Let’s dive into seven ways to fine-tune your setup like a pro.
1️⃣ Backtest Like Your Profits Depend on It (Spoiler: They Do)
Before you let your strategy loose in the wild, backtest it against historical data. It’s not enough to say, “This looks good.” Run the numbers. Find out how it performs over different time frames, market conditions, and asset classes — stocks , crypto , forex , and more. If you’re not backtesting, you run the risk of trading blind — use the sea of charting tools and instruments around here, slap them on previous price action and see how they do.
💡 Pro Tip : Make sure to backtest with realistic conditions. Don’t cheat with perfect hindsight—markets aren’t that kind.
2️⃣ Optimize for Risk, Not Just Reward
Everyone gets starry-eyed over profits, but the best traders obsess over risk management. Adjust your strategy to keep risk in check. Ask yourself: How much are you willing to lose per trade? What’s your win-loss ratio? A strategy that promises massive returns but ignores risk is more like a ticking time bomb than a way to pull in long-term profits.
💡 Pro Tip : Use a risk-reward ratio of at least 2:1. It’s simple: risk $1 to make $2, and you’ve got a buffer against losses. Want to go big? Use 5:1 or why not even 15:1? Learn all about it in our Asymmetric Risk Reward Idea.
3️⃣ Diversify Your Strategy Across Markets
If you’re only trading one asset or market, you’re asking for trouble (sooner or later). Markets move in cycles, and your strategy might crush it in one but flop in another. Spread your strategy across different markets to smooth out the rough patches.
💡 Pro Tip : Don’t confuse this with over-trading. You’re diversifying, not chasing every pop.
4️⃣ Fine-Tune Your Time Frames
Your strategy might be solid on the 1-hour chart but struggle on the 5-minute or daily. Different time frames bring different opportunities and risks. Test your strategy across multiple time frames to see where it shines and where it stumbles.
💡 Pro Tip : Day traders? Shorten those time frames. Swing traders? Stretch ’em out. Find the sweet spot that aligns with your trading style.
5️⃣ Stay Agile with Market Conditions
No strategy is perfect for every market condition. What works in a trending market could blow up in a range-bound one. Optimize your strategy to adapt to volatility, volume, and trend shifts. Pay attention to news events , central bank meetings, and earnings reports — they can flip the script fast.
💡 Pro Tip : Learn to identify when your strategy isn’t working and take a step back. Not every day is a trading day.
6️⃣ Incorporate Multiple Indicators (But Don’t Go Overboard)
More indicators = more profits, right? Wrong. It’s easy to fall into the trap of loading up your charts with a dozen indicators until you’re drowning in lines and signals. Keep it simple — combine 3 to 5 complementary indicators that confirm your strategy’s signals, and ditch the rest.
💡 Pro Tip : Use one indicator for trend confirmation and another for entry/exit timing.
7️⃣ Keep Tweaking, But Don’t Blow Out of Proportion
Here’s the rub: There’s a fine line between optimization and over-optimization. Adjusting your strategy too much based on past data can lead to overfitting — your strategy works perfectly on historical data but crashes in live markets. Keep tweaking, but always test those tweaks in live conditions to make sure they hold up.
💡 Pro Tip : Keep a trading journal to track your tweaks. If you don’t track it, you won’t know what’s working and what’s not. Get familiar with the attributes of a successful trading plan with one of our top-performing Ideas: What’s in a Trading Plan?
💎 Bonus: Never Stop Learning
The market’s constantly changing and your strategy needs to change with it. Keep studying, keep testing, and keep learning. The moment you think you’ve mastered the market is the moment it humbles you.
Optimizing a trading strategy isn’t a one-and-done deal—it’s an ongoing process. By fine-tuning, testing, and staying flexible, you can keep your strategy sharp, profitable, and ahead of the curve. Optimize smart, trade smart!
NiftyBees Trading Strategy Using EMA LevelsObjective:
This strategy outlines a simple approach to buying NiftyBees based on 50EMA, 100EMA, and 200EMA levels, and how to gradually increase your position.
Key Steps:
50EMA Buy:
Buy 1/3rd of your total planned investment when the price hits the 50EMA.

100EMA Buy:
Buy 2/3rd of your total planned investment at the 100EMA.
Add 25% to your previous 50EMA position.
Reason: Shows stronger medium-term momentum.

200EMA Buy:
Buy 2/3rd of your total planned investment at the 200EMA.
Add 50% to your previous 100EMA position.
Reason: Indicates potential long-term reversal.
Example: Buy ₹60,000 at 200EMA and add ₹20,000 (50% more from 100EMA purchase).
Conclusion:
This strategy helps you build your position in stages, reducing risk and improving your average price over time. It uses key EMA levels to guide when and how much to invest, helping you benefit from market dips while maintaining a disciplined approach.
Gold is ready for NFP!Gold (XAU/USD) has shown resilience, bouncing back to around $2,640 per ounce after hitting a daily low of $2,638 on Thursday. This recovery was fueled by growing concerns over a potential conflict between Israel and Iran, as well as a stronger US Dollar. On the fundamental side, gold remains influenced by expectations surrounding the Federal Reserve's (Fed) monetary policy. Last week, the market predicted with over 60% probability a 50 basis point rate cut by November. However, stronger-than-expected US labor market data have reduced these expectations to 35%, boosting the US Dollar and applying bearish pressure on gold, which tends to lose appeal as the dollar strengthens.
Technically, gold is in a phase of uncertainty. A break above $2,673, the weekly high, could signal a resumption of the uptrend, with a potential target of $2,700. Conversely, a break below $2,625 could lead to a test of support at $2,600. In the medium to long term, gold maintains a general bullish trend, supported by its traditional role as a safe-haven asset and the global low-interest rate environment.
Bitcoin Drops Dock Workers Strike Key Support Levels to WatchToday marks the start of the dock worker strike, which isn't great news for the stock market, and as a result, we're seeing Bitcoin drop significantly. I don't think the strike will last too long maybe around two weeks or so but we'll have to wait and see. It's important to be cautious in the stock market during this period.
Currently, Bitcoin is finding support at $60,100.00. If it weren’t for the strike, I’d say this is a solid level for a potential bounce, but due to the current situation, I’m a bit more cautious. Let's see if Bitcoin holds this support or breaks through it. If it does break, the next support level is $58,600, though it's not as strong.

A rare occurrence of a green September. We expect extremely high volatility over the next 4-6 weeks, especially considering the election and the polarizing nature of the candidates. We could see heavy volatility within the semiconductor space. A 10-15% pullback in semiconductors would also bring down the major indices as they are a heavy component. We have seen how fragile this market is (8/5/24).
Last week, our call went for 60%+. This week, let's see.
EURNZD Maintains Bearish TrendJust a simple TA using conventional wave length projections. This pair wasn't able to hold onto the 78.6% fib pullback level so now I anticipate this pair first retesting around the 1.74 handle. Following the retest I would expect a natural bounce from profit taking and buyers heading into the market, but then I can foresee this pair breaking support heading towards the 1.7170 area in the days ahead.
How to trade this you ask?
First wait for bullish action, then follow the bullish candles on a small timeframe (5 or 15min) then wait for the bullish momentum to stall out for the best entry on the sell side.
That's it - That's all

Ford (F): Waiting for the right moment after recent bounceAfter being stopped out at break-even with profits already taken on NYSE:F , we are now observing the chart again. We're pleased that we didn't buy any shares as the anticipated bounce did not materialize. However, Ford did bounce almost exactly at point X, which is where wave 2 should not have dropped below—it briefly wicked under before pumping back up. This is something we can respect, as we haven't been stuck below the designated level for an extended time.
From a technical perspective, the plan is clear, but Ford is highly impacted by the current political climate, as car companies are in the spotlight right now. Despite this, we are planning for a push upwards after the recent dip. Ideally, we should not revisit the $9.64 level or, even better, avoid the wave (ii) level. Multiple levels need to be flipped for us to be confident that there's enough strength for future success. We've marked the "Ideal Entry Point" with a green dot, and it should be clear what we want to see.
For now, we're standing on the sidelines, letting it develop and play out. If our scenario unfolds as anticipated, we can capitalize on it.
Plan the trade and trade the plan.

Salesforce (CRM): Potential bearish flag formingOne of our members asked for an analysis on Salesforce ( NYSE:CRM ), and we've taken a closer look at it. Initially, it's a bit challenging to see the full picture, but if our Elliott Wave count is accurate, we marked the end of wave (2) at $115.29 after establishing wave B, which was exactly between the 127.2% and 138% Fibonacci levels.
It appears that wave 1 was put in with a new high slightly above wave B, taking out the resting liquidity (likely due to profit-taking and closing of long positions). Following this, there was a 33% drop, and here's where it gets tricky. Normally, we would expect this decline to continue, suggesting that the current rise is merely a relief pump. However, wave ((a)) perfectly touched the HVN POC, which indicates a slight chance that this could be the bottom. That said, we still believe that a continuation down to the 61.8-78.6% Fibonacci level is more likely.
Zooming in on the blue-circled area, we notice a textbook bear flag pattern developing. While we don't typically trade based on chart patterns, it is difficult to ignore this one given its clear structure. It becomes even more significant if there is a wick above the upper trend line of the flag, which could trigger another sell-off by taking out the liquidation levels. Such a wick would also fully close the gap and enter our targeted area where we anticipate a possible reversal.
To be clear, we are not trading this bear flag pattern or the targeted area just yet. Instead, we are using this setup as a means to validate whether our bearish outlook is correct or not. We’ll continue to monitor the development closely and provide updates as we gain more clarity.

USD/JPY Under Pressure: Weak Yen and Anticipation of US GDP!USD/JPY is receiving particular attention due to the weakness of the Japanese Yen (JPY), influenced by expectations that the Bank of Japan (BoJ) will delay further rate hikes. The minutes of the BoJ’s July monetary policy meeting revealed a consensus among members on the need to remain vigilant regarding inflation risks. While some members indicated that a rate hike to 0.25% might be appropriate, others suggested a moderate adjustment to monetary support.
From a macroeconomic perspective, traders are focused on the release of the annualized US GDP for the second quarter, scheduled for Thursday. The dollar's performance is being hindered by the increasing likelihood of rate cuts by the Federal Reserve by the end of the year. According to the CME FedWatch Tool, there is about a 50% chance that the Fed will reduce rates by 75 basis points, bringing them to the 4.0-4.25% range.
In terms of resistance, the level of 149.40, the highest in the past six weeks, represents a potential target for the USD/JPY rally. On the support side, the first significant level is around 144.00, which coincides with the upper boundary of the previous descending channel. A break below this level could restore the bearish bias, with the next target around 139.58, the lowest point since June 2023.
