Buyback Patterns for Swing TradingNASDAQ:AMGN shows a buyback run followed by a sell day that was instigated by market makers as buyers quickly disappeared. Remember that corporate buybacks are done by bank floor traders to add stock to their inventory so they won't take profits at the peak of the run; those are other market participants, such as market makers. NYSE:KO is another example of a buyback run and how price moves back down after the professionals conclude their buybacks. The buybacks were announced in May this year so this stock has just started its share repurchase program.

Analysis 12M - Bullish structure & candle stick forming 6M - Still bullish. 3M - March is the last 3rd Candle to complete this candle stick. I'd like to see this push up more so we can start looking around 1.50 1M - This will form a strong bullish candle stick for March. W - Continuation - Forming a strong weekly Bullish candle D - Price is currently bouncing on a strong Daily previous resistance - now support line. Continuation after Monday retest on the Daily support line. Tuesday Forming a clear bullish candle stick suggestion continuation. Just have to be cautious of any strong wicks. New potential swing trade for 2/4 - GU Higher Time Frame Analysis - Lower Time Frame Entry - Price broke previous daily resistance, now support.(Also weekly support) - Daily strong bullish trend line. - As we look to close the first 3M candle for the year, if the markets holds above the support line&trendline, I see price heading towards 1.31 (Previous Yearly resistance candle) - 50% Fib Retracement - (Not considered any news events yet - purely analysed from a technical standpoint) I’ll definitely keep my eye on this and share my thoughts/updates as we approach April.
