Volumepriceanalysis
Weekly Price Projection for Brent Crude Oil W/C 17th April 2023Price Range Projection:
Weekly High: ~ $86.58
Weekly Low: ~ $82.818
In the chart above, you can see the price on the 3-hour timescale, along with a fixed range volume profile.
Weekly High Projection
The fixed range volume profile (the horizontal histogram) is an indicator that can be used to show resistance and support levels. The red horizontal line in the close-up chart above indicates the point of control, which is the price level that had the most volume. As you can see, the price stalled around this point. This is where I see the weekly high.
Weekly Low Projection
I have placed the weekly low at a previous support level, which was formed from a chart pattern that had a breakout more than a month ago. This is shown with the two blue trendlines.
📊The Effects of Volume Cheatsheet📍 In trading, volume refers to the number of shares or contracts that are traded within a specific period of time. It is a key technical indicator used by traders and investors to analyze the strength and direction of price movements in the financial markets.
The volume of a security can be used to confirm trends, indicate potential reversals, and identify areas of support and resistance. For example, a sudden increase in trading volume for a particular stock may suggest that a significant news event has occurred or that there is an increase in investor interest. On the other hand, a decrease in volume may indicate that investors are losing interest or that a trend is weakening.
Volume is important in trading because it provides information about market activity and helps traders make informed decisions. By analyzing trading volume along with other technical indicators such as moving averages and price patterns, traders can gain insights into market trends and make more accurate predictions about future price movements.
💥Key Takeaway:
When prices are rising or falling with high volume , it suggests that there is strong participation in the market and that the price movement is likely to continue in that direction . Conversely, when prices are rising or falling with low volume, it may indicate that there is not enough market participation to sustain the price movement and that a reversal could occur.

$USDJPY Trade 1 on NY Open, BUY #forex #trading
Entering the first trade for the day, London Session.

CAT: Range Bound Swing TradingCAT developed one of the entry signals I teach this week. The stock rebounded from testing the lows of the trading range. Hybrid indicators suggest large-lot buying is triggering in the lows of the range.
Point gain potential may be limited by the sideways trading range developing, but swing trading can be done within the range if you can catch the entry early in the upswing from the lows and plan to exit near the highs.
This trading range will need to compress near the highs to sustain a breakout to the upside.
INARI sign of bottom with upcoming short term rebound on the wayDespite earnings miss expectations, the price & volume shows that the price is supported with intention to rebound in short term from yesterday 5 mins chart.
However, the upcoming rebound may just be a short term rebound to soften the price fall. Any longer term upside needs to be monitor.
BTC/USD analysis - price actionbased on previous view, I traded the level but on a random price to check if the zone works perfectly. Seems that zones work perfect only if it is meeting certain conditions. checking levels on bigger charts gives more clear view on your investment. Fib retracement on extra candles actually worked which-means having more candle in your area makes your trades more perfect. I will also start adding videos with other indicators in coming sessions.
ROKU setting up a SHORT TRADE ROKU double topped on November 14 and December 2 and then dropped in a downtrend
until 12/28 and reversed. The mid Fib levels of the retracement a drawn onto the chart
are being approached.
I look for ROKU to bounce down off the Fib Level at 52. 2 and drop to approach the SMA 200 ( Red Line)
after first crossing under the SMA 100 ( Blue Line ) and then to the POC line of the volume profile
where buyers should take over and support price. Overall three targets ( SMA 100, SMA200, POC)
and a three tier take profit scheme for a very conservative trade.
💎 Analyzing the Various Shapes of Volume ProfilesVolume Profile is a tool that shows how much volume (i.e. the number of trades) is happening at different price levels for a given asset.
It is used by traders to analyze order flow and make inferences about market direction, support and resistance, and potential reversal areas.
The patterns in a Volume Profile may appear random at first glance, but there are certain recurring shapes that can be used to make predictions about the market.
🔵 P-Shaped Volume Profile
A P-shaped Volume Profile is a chart pattern that typically occurs when a market experiences a sharp rise followed by consolidation.
The lower part of the P-shaped profile represents low volume rejection, while the wider upper part shows an increase in trading activity at a "fair" price.
These patterns are often seen during uptrends, but can also indicate the end of a downtrend and a potential short covering rally, which is seen as a bullish signal.
🔵 b-Shaped Volume Profile
A b-shaped Volume Profile is a chart pattern that forms when a market experiences a sharp decline followed by consolidation.
It is the opposite of a P-shaped profile and is often seen during downtrends. The upper part of a b-shaped profile represents low volume and an "unfair" perception of price,
while the wider bottom part shows an increase in trading activity and a balance between buyers and sellers.
If a b-shaped profile appears during an uptrend, it could potentially indicate a reversal. These patterns are generally seen as bearish signals, as they often represent longs exiting the market.
🔵 D-Shaped Volume Profile
A D-shaped Volume Profile is a chart pattern that occurs when there is a temporary balance in a market. The Point of Control (POC), which is typically located in the center of the profile,
indicates an equal number of buyers and sellers. Some traders view a D-shaped profile as a sign of a choppy or sideways market without a clear direction,
while others see it as an opportunity to anticipate a potential breakout in either direction as institutional players build up their positions.
🔵 B-Shaped Volume Profile
A B-shaped Volume Profile is a chart pattern that occurs when two D-shaped profiles appear within a specific time period. It is characterized by a single value area and Point of Control (POC),
although some traders may divide the profile into two separate "D-areas" with their own value areas. B-shaped profiles are generally seen as a continuation of a trend,
but it is important to note which POC is more dominant, as this can indicate whether activity was highest at the top or bottom of the profile.

No doom, gloom or pivot. Just one aliens TA.An alien trader landed on earth and was given a chart of the combined** US indices (futures). Luckily, and not coincidentally, he knew TA.
He had never heard of people like J.Powell and J.Cramer, or places like China, Ukraine and Russia.
this is what he saw:
Bullish:
- Broke out 'above' the main diagonal trend (bullish)
- Made a Higher High (bullish)
- Note that, on a VERY high TF, the Bull market rides on and up (see "Higher Range Frame" box)
Neutral
- Has arrived at the key POC (neutral) and is sandwiched between zones of lower past volume (LVN's)
- The 100MA/400MA was moving towards a "neutral cross" (the midpoint between the MA's is flat and not changing)
Bearish
In higher time/range frames the index has not made a new swing high. (see "Higher Range Frame" box)
NOTES
**There are multiple ways to merge ES, NQ and YM, as well as alternative indices like $NYA and Wilshire 5000. The *best* option depends on what it is used for (ex. a sphere is a good model of the earth for the astronomer, but not for the mountain climber). A simple average (ES + NQ + YM)/3 is ruled out because one point has a different value for each index. To address this, each index is weighted so that a 1 point change will imply the same change in $ terms (For weights see www.barchart.com
Alternative criterion for weighting include capitalization, number of stocks and beta weighting.
[i Epilogue - After watching a TA channel on You Tube for 5 min. he departed abruptly pausing only to grab a clean towel. He is believed to be following in the dolphins footsteps.
DOWJ not looking great from a TA perspective.Purely from a TA perspective I am looking to short DOWJ right now. We perfectly pinged the top order block after the positive inflation report today, given that the weekly oscillator is overbought I am l feeling bearish at the moment. On top of that, this recent rally isn't backed by any decent relative volume.
ROKU Long IdeaBuy Roku low and sell it high.
Roku is presently sitting at the near bottom of the recent volume profile
and above the POC line for support. On the 15-minute chart, levels are
marked out for a stop loss and a three-tiered take profit. This will be about
a 15% upside depending on the proportions of the take-profits.
How much trading volume exists in the crypto market? The trading volume of a coin or token is used to measure the activity of the asset over some time, usually over one trading day.
Generally, Trading volumes are correlated with crypto prices. When the prices for crypto assets are rising, especially at the abnormal rate that they have demonstrated in the past, their presence in the media also rises, and traders flock to the market in response. A higher trading volume implies more liquidity, better order execution, and a more active market for connecting buyers and sellers. Conversely, when the trading volume is low, it can signify a lack of market interest, and consequently, liquidity and other trading conditions can suffer.
Trading volume across exchanges
At the time of writing this, the entire trading volume of cryptocurrency across all exchanges for the day is approximately $120 billion.
The trading volume of cryptocurrencies varies across different exchanges. Several factors are responsible for this disparity, such as the number of users on each exchange and the trading proclivity of these users. The largest exchange, Binance, had a total crypto trading volume of about $35 billion, representing a whopping 25% of the entire trading volume of the market. Smaller exchanges are responsible for the rest of the volume, including OKX (~5%), BingX (~5%), Coinbase (~1%), among others.
Factors that may impact the volume of trade on a particular exchange include trustworthiness of the exchange and the available number of coins on the exchange.
The volume of derivatives trading of cryptocurrency
A Derivative is a contract whose value is determined by an underlying asset. In crypto, a common derivative is CFDs. The trader does not own or hold the underlying asset in derivative trades, which means that getting in and out of trades can be simpler because no cryptocurrency needs to change custodianship.
Presently, the crypto derivatives market is about 69% of the total trading volume of cryptocurrency, while spot trading has been declining due to the current dip in the crypto market.
Volume Profile on USDJPYVolume profile is a huge tool at one's arsenal should someone know what to do with it.
In this particular example of USDJPY, we can see un uptrend before running into correction. Therefore we draw a volume profile on the given trend to spot where the majority of the volume was traded by market participant.
Here is the interesting part, should price drop to our level those same buyers might show up again and decide to participate once more.
So why the price shows reaction to the level ??
The sellers who short up there need to exit at some point where would be the better point than where majority were buyers before? Therefore sellers don't risk getting into conflict with buyers and exit there.
I therefore set a buy limit order at that particular level.
Points to consider:
1. If there is an important news and price is close to your entry you might want to remove the order, chances are your SL gets hit.
2. Don't overtrade one level, meaning: don't trade multiple times on one level. I personally trade it 2 times only if certain factors are there. (for instance: how was the previous reaction ? did price reacted aggressively or not??)
Today (23/11) we have multiple news for USD that's why you need to be careful trading it.
YANG China 3X leverage Bear ETF UptrendAfter uptrending from a double bottom ealier this month,
by the volume profile YANG looks to recover to 26.85 which is also a good 50% retracement of
the down trend. Moreover, the uptrend could extend to a second target about 32.
This could be a good swing long setup with a great reward for a small risk if setting
the stop loss just below the POC black line at 17.25.
