New Czech passenger car registrations edge up in first half, EVs' share jumps

New Czech passenger car registrations rose by 2.87% in the first half of 2025 from a year ago to 122,639 cars, the Car Importers' Association said on Friday.

It said the share of electric vehicles on total registrations jumped to 5.63% in first half from 3.5% in the first half of 2024.

Volkswagen's Czech brand Skoda led the market with 34.33% share, followed by Hyundai with 8.47% and Volkswagen with 6.83%.
