IPB_PBOThis indicator is called Indian Pivot Boss _ Pivot Based Oscillator.
This is an oscillator based on pivot level of each candle. It is based on the concept outlined in the Secrets of Pivot Boss book.
It is the average of mutual differences between fast moving average, medium moving average and slow moving average of the candle pivots. This is then plotted as an oscillator.
When Pivot based oscillator is sloping upwards, it is suggested NOT TO STAY ON THE SHORT SIDE. Staying long side or Keeping quiet are the desirable options.
When Pivot based oscillator is sloping downwards, it is suggested NOT TO STAY ON THE LONG SIDE. Staying short side or Keeping quiet are the desirable options.
This indicator has to be used in conjunction with other indicators and should not be relied on a solo basis.

IPB_JPMUPS_2022Introduction :
This indicator serves two purposes
a) It is a multi dimensional floor pivot indicator, which takes its concepts from Secrets of Pivot Boss book of Frank Ochoa. Most of the indicators suggested in the book are packed in one indicator.
b) It also has an inbuilt intraday strategy which identifies trend, direction and momentum based on CPR (Central Pivot Range) concepts and accordingly comes up with trading signals.
How this indicator is different from the published ones :
A). Role as an indicator
This indicator has all the CPR (Central Pivot Range) indicators packed together which provides a ready made solution for CPR based trading. The following are the salient features of this indicator :
1) This indicator plots daily CPR using previous day high, low and close. It also plots Support and Resistance levels based on floor pivots formula.
Moreover, it also plots developing CPR which is based on current day's high, low and close. Apart from that it also plots CPR for next day session as well which is useful for EOD analysis.
2) This indicator plots weekly CPR using previous week high, low and close. It also plots developing CPR which is based on current week's high, low and close.
3) This indicator plots monthly CPR using previous month high, low and close. It also plots developing CPR which is based on current month's high, low and close.
4) This indicator plots pivot EMA which is called PEMA. It uses three different EMAs which are customisable and uses them to plot a moving average web based on pivot points of each candle, which is called as PEMA. This also facilitates PEMA plotting for higher time frame (daily time frame) as well.
5) This indicator plots daily time frame moving average in intraday chart which can be used as a key zone during trading. The period is customisable.
B) Role as a strategy
This indicator also functions as an intraday trading strategy called JPMUPS (JP stands for author's nickname. MUPS stands for Manoj Ultimate Pivot Strategy). This strategy attempts to identify trend, direction and momentum and when all these three align together it gives buy and sell signals. The concepts are as under:
Trend identification :
Whenever a trend is established, the developing CPR starts to widen. Hence this strategy uses the width of the developing CPR and compares it with the MA of the width to identify the trend. If the width of the developing CPR crosses the 34 period MA (can be customised), it assumes a trend is developing.
Direction identification:
Whenever a direction is established, the CPR components, namely BC and TC shifts its position. Hence this strategy uses this concept to identify the direction. It computes MACD sort of histogram of the BC and TC difference and whenever the histogram slops upwards, it assumes bullish direction and vice versa.
Momentum identification :
Whenever momentum is established, the developing CPR starts sloping upwards. Hence this strategy uses this concept to identify the momentum. It computes RSI of the developing CPR and if the RSI is above the 34 period MA (can be customised) of RSI , it assumes momentum is establishing and vice versa.
When all the above are aligned together, it gives buy or sell signals suitably.
How to use it :
a) Indicator usage :
1) CPR zones are key zones which predominantly acts as support and resistance zones. Looking at the price action at these zones, one can look for trading opportunities in live market.
2) Developing CPR acts as pull back zones and is very useful in live trading and also EOD analysis for spotting opportunities by combining price action.
b) Strategy usage :
1). Strategy signals are only indicative. Users are strongly advised not to use the strategy blindly. Users are advised to go though the CPR concepts thoroughly and use this strategy signals only as a supplement for further decision making / analysis.
Markets meant for :
1). This indicator and Strategy is predominantly designed for I ndian stock markets . However it can be customised for other markets as well by changing the timings of the markets in the parameters.
Market conditions meant for :
1). This indicator is meant for all types of market conditions as its predominant role is to plot the key support and resistance zones using CPR concepts.
2). The strategy is mainly found to be effective in trending markets and predominantly indices like Nifty and Bank Nifty . Hence Users are advised to use this only as an indicative feature and not blindly trade based on signals. The strategy is found to be less effective in lower time frames like 1min / 3min, etc. 15 min time frame provides fair performance. However it doesnt mean that it will continue to perform in the same manner in the future.
IPB_NHNLThis indicator is a market breadth indicator.
This is an index that is derived from the number of stocks within the nifty constituents that has made 52weeks high and low.
Only top 40 stocks of nifty50 are selected as there is a limitation of calling securities in pinescript.
This indicator has to be used in conjunction with other market breadth indicators like IPB_MAMB, IPB_ADMIN, etc.
The index is customized for weekly chart. Hence please use only on weekly chart to analyze the market breadth .
Look for divergences with the price which indicate reversals.
IBP_AccDistThis indicator plots distribution / accumulation.
Distribution is when price falls by 0.2% and volume is 1.25 times the 20 day average volume.
Opposite is accumulation.
If there are 5 distibution days in a span of 20 days then market direction is confirmed down.
William O Neils method. Parameters tweaked based on Indian markets and my experience.
IPB_MA_Market_Breadth_NIFTYThis is a very powerful index to guage the market breadth of an index.
By default it is configured for the top 18 stocks of Nifty.
This indicator calculates the momentum (RSI) of the no. of stocks above and below MA difference.
Divergence of shorter momentum with price gives reversal caution.
Crossing of shorter momentum over / under longer momentum provides a bullish stance / bearish stance.
It also has a MACD of no. the stocks above and below MA difference.
As usual it is better to use this indicator along with other indicators.
IPB_MA_MARKET_BREADTH (MAMB)This is a powerful indicator to guage the strength of the market.
1) By default it plots the momentum of the number of stocks in Bank Nifty that are above 20 period MA. You can change the MA number if you desire.
2) It also has other features like plotting the above along with the weights allocated in index / MACD of the number of stocks above and below index / cumulative raw index with respect to number of stocks above / below MA.
3) You can use it to other indices as well but can add only 12 stocks participating in any index.
How to use it?
If you see the price moving up (down) but the index (Item no. 1 above) falling (rising), it indicates higher chance of reversal.
If shorter momentum crosses longer momentum from below, it usually signals bullish and vice versa.
As always use this indicator in tandem with other indicators.
IPB_CamBOTSThis is an intraday strategy.
Camarilla Level 3 breakout strategy.
Conditions are long above Camarilla R3 only under certain circumstances related to the distance between Central Pivot and Level 3 pivots and also the location of the Opening price of the day.
Exit is assumed to be at the end of the day. It is suggested to exit the trade if price falls back below Camarilla R3 in case of longs.
Logic similar for shorts as well but on the other end.
Position Sizing :
10 lots of Nifty futures assumed for backtesting.
The margin required for 10 lots of Nifty futures is around 10-12 lacs. Hence 25,00,000 capital is assumed which is roughly double the margin required for taking positions in the real market. In other words not all capital is used if 10 lots of futures is traded. Brokerage assumed is 50 per order as against the 20 per order in real market with respect to retail brokers. Currency assumed is INR. However there is no option to choose INR and therefore you might see the currency as USD. Hence please assume the currency as INR.

IPB_AOPM_BOThis is an intraday trading strategy.
Concept :
Underlying concept is that Amateurs open the market and Professionals close the market. Hence this system tries to capture the breakout in the afternoon session. After One PM Breakout (AOPM breakout). This essentially means that one has to go long once the high of the market till 1 pm is broken out and similarly go short once the low of the market till 1 pm is broken down.
Position sizing:
This strategy assumes taking 10 lots of Indian Market Index which approximately requires a margin of around INR 25,00,000. Hence capital is chosen as INR 25,00,000. Currency is assumed to be INR , however the system shows USD as currency as there is no INR option available. Commissions assumed to be at INR 50 per order as against the INR 20 per charged by retail brokers in India in real world market.
Disclaimer:
Past performance is not representative of future performance. Hence the author is not responsible for any trading loss arising out of implementing this strategy. Hence please implement at your own risk. Trading can result in loss of entire capital.
IndianPivotBoss_TCAPConcept :
This strategy aims to capture the trend. It is deemed that a possible trend emerges when price goes past a pre-determined boundary. The predetermined boundary is a function of previous day close, average daily range and a standard normal distribution Z score.
Conditions :
Buy when price crosses the upper boundary.
Exit when price falls below the upper boundary or at close of the day.
Short when price crosses down the lower boundary.
Exit when price moves above the lower boundary or at close of the day.
Position Size :
A capital of 125,000 is selected. (Margin for 1 lot of Bank Nifty Futures is Indian Rupees 125,000). Please assume the currency as Indian Rupees instead of USD as there is no option to select Indian Rupees as Currency.
In real market, the margin required for 1 lot of Bank Nifty futures trading is around INR 125,000 which is why initial capital of INR 125,000 is chosen.
1 lot trade is considered. No compounding is assumed as evident from the results where all trades are of 1 lot only.
Commission of 0.05% (approx Rs 312.5, if the index is 25000) is used, which is very conservative compared to the usual commission of Rs 20 per order charged by leading retail brokers in India.
Disclaimer :
Past results are not reflective of future. The author is not responsible for any loss on account of anyone trading this strategy.
IndianPivotBoss_ADRAverage Daily Range indicator
This indicator shows the average daily range. By default shows one day Daily Range. It can be customised upto 100 days. Strongly suggested to use 1-5 days only.
It also plots 4 lines which are by default 10 day average Daily Range (ADR) with 50% of ADR, 75% of ADR, 100% of ADR and 125% of ADR.
These are used to calculate potential daily targets.
However, the most important usage is on daily chart for the next day analysis for trading intraday. If DR is less than 50% of the ADR (BOTTOM MOST LINE), the color of the bar will be in red which indicates that there is heavy contraction which could possibly followed by expansion. This could possibly lead to a trending day and hence traders can prepare well in advance.
IndianPivotBossJP_MUPS_NIFTYThis is the JP_MUPS Strategy for NIFTY similar to BankNifty which is already there in JP_MUPS.
The best way to enter this strategy is as follows:
Option A :
Direct entry after signal with a stop .
Option B :
Have a Stochastic 14 / 5 / 5.
Once a short signal comes, wait for the Stochastic 14/5/5 to go to the OverBot zone above 70 and enter short after a crossunder, provided that during this period the long signal do not come.
Once a long signal comes, wait for the Stochastic 14/5/5 to go to the Oversold zone below 30 and enter long after a crossover, provided that during this period the short signal do not come.
This method will ensure that your entry is fine tuned.
IndianPivotBoss_ADMIN_NIFTYThis is the Advance Decline Momentum Index for Top 18 stocks of Nifty 50 index.
This is similar to the ADMIN index for Bank Nifty Stocks that is already available for public use.
Top 18 stocks of Nifty contributes more than 70% of Nifty's movement.
The index has the following options :
1) Admin line (shorter momentum ) : By default this is enabled. If it crosses above 50, it indicates upward momentum with stock participation. If it crosses below 50 it indicates downward momentum. Divergence of this indicator Vs price is an excellent advance clue for a possible reversal.
2) Admin line (longer momentum) : This is to be used with respect to S.No. 1. If shorter momentum crosses longer momentum upside, it is an indication of stronger momentum and vice versa.
3) Admin MACD : Upward sloping indicates stronger momentum and downward sloping of histogram lines indicate weaker momentum. Divergence Vs price is an excellent advance clue for a possible reversal.
4) Advance decline line : This is the actual cumulative advance decline line.
5) Advance decline line 200 ema : This is the 200 ema of the advance decline line.
IndianPivotBossJP_MUPSThis is an advanced form of MUPS pivot intraday trading system.
Use this indicator with the following indicators :
1) IndianPivotBossPivotShift.
2) IndianPivotBossPivotRSI
3) PBOscillator
4) IndianPivotBossADMIN
When all the four indicators are sloping upwards, the long setup is triggered.
The indicators bars turns blue when each of them begins to slope upwards.
For a convincing indication, look for 3 consecutive blue bars in all of them for a long setup.
Once the setup is confirmed, all you have to do is to plan your entry.
Ensure there is no overhead resistance in the form of any pivot levels or any other key levels when you go long after the setup.
Reverse logic for short.
IndianPivotBoss_ADMINThis is a momentum index derived from the number of advances - number of declines of the stocks comprising the index.
This is called Advance Decline Momentum INdex (ADMIN).
It is a leading indicator to spot reversals.
This can be used in any time frames right from intraday to higher time frames.
By default it is configured for Bank Nifty (12 stocks).
Stocks can be changed with provision to have maximum of 12 stocks only.
How to use this while trading ?
The bars represent the 55 period ema of the momentum of difference between advances and declines
The line represent the 13 period ema of the momentum of difference between advances and declines.
If the bars are upward sloping, the color becomes blue and it becomes red if they are sloping downwards.
If the line crosses above the bars and moves past 50 with bars having blue color, it suggests a possible upward bias.
If the line crosses below the bars and moves below 50 with bars having red color, it suggests a possible downward bias.
Practice spotting in any time frames. I am confident this will form a major tool in your trading arsenal.
Respect Risk management. There is no holy grail.
