GIGB tracks an index of broad investment-grade corporate bonds with a fundamental twist. GIGBs index first divides the issuers into three industry groups: financials, industrials, and utilities. Within each group, the index ranks issuers by a combination of EBIT margin change and debt-to-enterprise value, and then excludes issuers in the bottom 10%. Credit ratings are partly determined by operating margin and leverage, so GIGB's additional fundamental screens are likely to push the average credit rating of the fund even higher. GIGB is a potential fit for investors looking for broad, USD, investment-grade corporate bond exposure with clearly identified and easily understandable fundamental screens.
