Apple Settles Trade Secrets Lawsuit Against Chip Startup RivosThe Settlement: In a recent development, tech giant Apple (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:AAPL ) has reached a settlement in its lawsuit against startup Rivos, accused of misappropriating trade secrets in the realm of computer-chip technology. The joint court filing, submitted in California federal court, indicates a significant step towards resolving the contentious legal battle. Implications for Tech Innovation: The resolution of this lawsuit holds profound implications for the tech industry, particularly in the domain of chip design and intellectual property protection. Apple's aggressive pursuit of legal action underscores the high stakes involved in safeguarding proprietary technologies amidst fierce competition and rapid technological advancements. The Allegations and Denials: Apple's initial lawsuit alleged that Rivos, a secretive startup, illicitly acquired confidential information and talent from Apple ( NASDAQ:AAPL ), leveraging these assets to develop competing System-on-Chip (SoC) technology. Rivos vehemently denied these accusations, asserting that Apple's actions were driven by a desire to stifle competition and thwart innovation. Balancing Innovation and Protection: The legal clash between Apple ( NASDAQ:AAPL ) and Rivos underscores the delicate balance between fostering innovation and protecting intellectual property rights. As companies strive to push the boundaries of technological advancement, disputes over trade secrets and employee mobility are increasingly common, necessitating robust legal frameworks and vigilant enforcement mechanisms. Apple's Vision for Spatial Computing: Amidst the legal wrangling, Apple ( NASDAQ:AAPL ) continues to advance its vision for spatial computing with the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro (AVP). Positioned as a versatile device catering to both consumer and enterprise markets, the AVP represents a significant foray into augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) technologies. Transforming Business Paradigms: With its emphasis on spatial computing, Apple aims to revolutionize various facets of enterprise operations, ranging from productivity and collaboration to immersive training experiences. By partnering with leading organizations across diverse industries, Apple ( NASDAQ:AAPL ) seeks to establish the AVP as a transformative platform driving innovation and enhancing user experiences. The Future of AR in Business: While the adoption of AR technologies in business has been gradual, the introduction of the AVP holds promise for accelerating this trend. By offering a seamless integration of familiar applications and novel spatial computing capabilities, Apple ( NASDAQ:AAPL ) seeks to catalyze the mainstream adoption of AR devices in enterprise settings. Opportunities and Challenges Ahead: As businesses explore the potential applications of the AVP, they must navigate a landscape characterized by both opportunities and challenges. While the device promises enhanced productivity and immersive experiences, concerns regarding content creation and data security remain pertinent, necessitating careful consideration and strategic planning. Conclusion In conclusion, the resolution of Apple's ( NASDAQ:AAPL ) lawsuit against Rivos marks a significant milestone in the ongoing evolution of the tech industry, underscoring the critical importance of protecting intellectual property rights while fostering innovation. With the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro, Apple ( NASDAQ:AAPL ) is poised to redefine the boundaries of spatial computing, offering new possibilities for businesses and consumers alike. As the AR landscape continues to evolve, embracing the transformative potential of devices like the AVP presents both opportunities and challenges for enterprises seeking to stay ahead in an increasingly digital world.Longby DEXWireNews2
Apple Valuation Graphed to 2009The valuation of NASDAQ:AAPL shares is always an interesting challenge and historically you can view the range of valuation that Apple shares have traded at using the powerful tools that TradingView has for you. Here is a template you can easily make a copy of using the "share" button at the bottom of the graph. Once you click "share" you will see a "make it mine" button to click on an make yourself a copy to use as a template for your other stocks. This is a powerful way to view your companies you invest in and see how they are valued. 1. Free cash flow 2. PS Ratio (How many times the annual revenues of the company is the market capitalization of the equity) 3. Shares Outstanding (Very important to know if a company is giving shares away to employees each year creating a drag on the earnings or are they buying back stock with borrowed money. Better yet, are they retiring stock with free cash flow.) 4. Long term debt (See above) Is the company borrowing more and more to grow and putting itself at risk 5. Total Revenue (Not inflation adjusted) 6. Market Capitalization (Value of stock only, not enterprise value which includes debt) When we look at Apple shares here historically, the valuation is higher than average with lower than average sales growth. Compare today's prices to the low prices of 2013-2016-2018/2019 you can see you could buy Apple at 2.13, 2.20, 2.68 times sales with sales growing at sharply higher rates versus now with sales growing at the slowest rate with a peak in valuation at 8.02 times sales. So, in effect, NASDAQ:AAPL is significantly more expensive relative to low valuation levels. Valuation isn't a timing mechanism for entering and exiting stocks but you can use it to understand the relative valuation of stocks in your portfolio and the investible universe of stocks. Apple's Stock Outlook in 2024: A Tale of Bulls and BersNavigating Apple's Stock Outlook in 2024: A Tale of Bulls and Bears After a stellar performance in 2023, witnessing a remarkable 48% surge in Apple shares, the tech giant finds itself in a phase of consolidation in the early months of 2024, showing a decline of over 3% year-to-date. This shift prompts investors to ponder the opportune moment to acquire shares in the renowned iPhone maker. This article delves into the contrasting perspectives that shape the current outlook for Apple stock—examining both the bearish and bullish cases. The Bearish Case: Revenue Challenges: Apple encountered difficulties in expanding its revenue, marked by a nearly 3% decline in year-over-year revenue in fiscal 2023. iPhone and Mac sales slumped, exacerbated by unfavorable foreign exchange conditions. Valuation Concerns: The stock's valuation has raised eyebrows, with the price-to-earnings ratio surpassing 30. Despite an annual earning of $97 billion, Apple boasts a market capitalization of $2.9 trillion, demanding sustained robust earnings-per-share growth. The Bullish Case: Services Segment Expansion: Apple's services segment, comprising Apple Pay, Apple Music, AppleCare, and App Store revenue, exhibited a notable 16% year-over-year growth in the most recent fiscal quarter. Indicators suggest continued momentum, including the emergence of a significant advertising business and a consistent ability to introduce new services. Robust Balance Sheet and Capital Allocation: With a net cash and marketable securities position of $51 billion in fiscal Q4, Apple aims for net cash neutrality. The company's judicious approach to share buybacks and dividends, coupled with a strong balance sheet and an annual free cash flow of nearly $100 billion, supports continued substantial repurchases and dividends. Conclusion: While Apple faces challenges, including a recent decline in revenue and a valuation that demands sustained growth, there are compelling reasons for optimism. The flourishing services segment, prudent capital allocation, a strong balance sheet, a loyal customer base, and a history of innovation contribute to a credible argument for the tech giant's premium valuation. While caution is advised, investors lacking exposure to Apple might find the current decline an opportune moment to initiate a modest position in this iconic company. As always, thorough research and a balanced consideration of risks and opportunities are crucial in making informed investment decisions. Our preference Long positions above 169.50 with targets at 199.60 & 205 in extension.Longby FOREXN1Updated 1114

Apple Update: 02/04/2024Apple is following an ideal path thus far. If you all recall I bought 2 puts when price was about $195-$196. I sold the first one when price was about $186 and the second around $181. I didn't make a ton of money off of it, but a couple hundred is better than nothing. Tomorrow morning, depending on price action, I may buy another put or two in anticipation of the next move lower that I am calling mini-wave 3 of c. I foresee that move lower to take us to the mid $170's before retracing for mini-wave 4 with another low to follow and ending the larger wave A. This price action lines up nicely with what I forecast the S&P to do in the coming days-weeks. MACD on the micro time frames supports this type of price action with the larger timeframes seeming to begin lining up with it. Also, the structure price is carving out look clearly corrective to me. All these things point lower towards my target box I have drawn. If I place any trades, I will post here as able.by TSuthUpdated 5518

AAPL: Week of Feb 5AAPL has really been a non-mover. Not one that I like to play anymore because its all over the map. But I figured I would post some levels for it. We fell below the bearish condition in after hours, I kind f expect the broader market to open on a bit of a gap down on Monday so if that is indeed the case we may see AAPL open fairly close to its lower targets. Still buy the dip mentality with AAPL its just not the most bullish or excitable stock out there. Safe trades!by SteverstevesUpdated 4411

$AAPL Long SwingNASDAQ:AAPL just recently had earnings and released the new VR-headset, Apple Vision Pro. I'm looking at swinging calls for NASDAQ:AAPL next week because the Jeanius Algo Suite (Indicator/Screener) gave me multiple buy confluences: Fell through 2 untested lows (~$180.17), grabbing liquidity Partially filled a Fair Value Gap Tested an uptrend line formed on the monthly timeframe In a long term and short term structural uptrend The indicator shows "Combo" signals every time this combination of signals happened in the past. $AAPL Daily Chart AnalysisNASDAQ:AAPL has bounced off the trendline from January 2023 and has risen back above the 200-day SMA, currently at 182.49, while also remaining above the POC (Point of Control) at 177.44. However, it is still trading below the 50-day SMA. I would like to see AAPL climb back above the 50-day SMA, which is now at 190.65. As I've mentioned many times before, the $180 level is acting as a support/resistance flip zone, which is now where the trendline from January 2023 is at too.by RamboTraderXXX0
