Sunday Prep 7/25 - $TTD Like to see pullbacks hold some supportBig volume day with a nice big green candle. Technically it broke out over that 82 level, so now I would like to see pullbacks hold some support. You can see the dips on Friday held around 79.40s, which also is right at the 61.8% fib level. Thinking any early flush to that area on Monday can be watched to see if they support it. If they gap it up, you can always look to join trend, but keep in mind that if they gap the broader market up as well, I would be very hesitant to get long anything until we get a backfill of the gap and we see buyers show up. THE TRADE DESK (TTD) 1st review UP 20% !Hello Traders and Investors, let's quickly review our buying recommendation on TTD, which happened on June 22nd. Well, literally right on the next day TTD shot up and within only 8 Trading Days it already climbed around 20,50% to $76,62 (Fridays close). Obviously I couldn't imagine that this move would happen that soon neither be so strong, therefore some luck is also part of the business. Nevertheless on a technical basis TTD's Chart is now even stronger than at that time due to the 'Goldie-Lock' move (blue circle) where the 50 day EMA crossed the 200 day EMA to the upside. This is a very bullish move and therefore I expect TTD soon going after Target 1 at $80,66 and then after a brief consolidation even going after Target 2 right above $90. On a technical Basis this is perfectly viable if Volume picks up again. Although fundamentally I'd like to point out that TTD on June 22nd was valued at 32 times EV/Sales (TTM) and now after this leg up it is already being valued at 40,25 times Sales, which is a sky high multiple. As trees do not grow endlessly, as soon as TTD reaches the 2nd Target, cautious Investors and Traders should consider taking some chips off the table. THE TRADE DESK (TTD) Time to buy?Hi Investors and Traders, today let's have a look to The Trade Desk or TTD, which is a digital ad leader in the DSP Ad Space (Demand Side Platform). This company has been a 'Market-Darling' in 2020 and provided huge returns of up to 500% within a 12 month time frame. Right now after having 'returned to earth' it is very interesting again. (1) Fundamentals TTD operates a self-service cloud-based platform that allows buyers to create, manage and optimize data-driven digital advertising campaigns in various ad channels like display, video and audio and on various devices such as Computers, Mobile Devices and Connected TV. It always had sky-high valuations due to its great metrics (having beaten expectations Quarter after Quarter) with EV/Sales of up to 45! Nevertheless today, after a tough correction period and nearly 40% off it's ATH expected forward EV/Sales is 25, which is still high, but regarding their very strong FCF production, elevated Growth Profit Margins of around 79% and solid bottom line profits, this has become again a rough Diamond. Besides already being the leader in its space, on top of that TTD has been expanding its business to China from which I expect huge returns in the near future. Biggest risk right now is its struggle transitioning from cookies to ID 2.0 in the ad space, but as it has a very savvy CEO I still expect a bright future for this enterprise. (2) Technicals Last week TTD made a 10:1 Split, which in my opinion was a clever step forward as it took down its share price from around $500 to $62 (right now). The Chart shows that TTD has been flat for a while moving in between two yellow lines and therefore before taking decision to buy (or not) it should leave the channel with a meaningful VOLUME INCREASE. Right now the average daily trading Volume moves around 8M shares and this figure should at least double to confirm the new trend. Investors and Traders that are willing to buy in should consider a time frame of up to 6 - 12 months until TTD retests its ATH around $100 (or before Split $1000). Right now have no position in TTD (sold last year much too early!!) but I will be averaging in (2-3 steps) as soon as TTD confirms the possible break-out. Exciting long term, Trouble short termPlease note this is only an idea, invest at your own risk. The chart shows a confusing pattern after a huge drop. If you are long term, I believe now to be a great price (575). In the short term, I expect more volatility and possible lower price or fluctuation. While it has recently gained an important support around 570, I am waiting for it to overcome the 600 resistance, and more importantly the 665 resistance, which would represent a change in structure. I am much more confident to enter into it once it holds above 665. Happy to get feedback on my idea.
