VALE S.A. - Elliot Wave CountAppears to be in the middle of wave 3 on the intermediate degree. This one is a slow moving long-term play. I might look to get in for wave 5, but that is probably towards the end of next year. On the primarily degree (not on this chart), it appears to be heading towards $83. That move would be years in the making- at least 5. Mostly posting this chart as I believe this industry will boom over the next decade and this ticker should be an easy 3 bagger for those in no hurry to collect.
Opportunity to short $valeThe chart looks to complete a 5 way structure up to a target around $24.
If this is a wave 1 --> see (i), in a bigger 5 way structure we should see a correction for the second wave --> see (ii).
The 2nd wave correction often goest to the 0.618 fibonacci of the first wave.
This is no financial advise, just my view of this chart.
Also I'm new to publishing idea's so tips or recommendations are welcome.
Have a nice day!
HOW TO: Trade Vale Iron Ore with a Trailing Stop Loss. VALE struggling to keep up with Chinese Iron Ore Demand
Was having a bit of a read through Yahoo News and spotted this article showing that the two biggest Iron Ore suppliers globally are having trouble keeping up with demand out of China. Vale has had a couple of set backs operationally, but looking at the chart looks like the share price might start moving higher again and most of the supporting indicators looking reasonably bullish.
Article: au.finance.yahoo.com
A 16% trailing stop loss as shown on the chart would have kept you through most of the gains made over the last 12 months, whereas you can see in the chart below a 15% trail would have stopped you out early.
Vale.. short itCopper has been tear this year and this stock has been a beneficiary of it. Had a great run up to earning and a nice 2 day encore after earnings. Finish Thursday with a hangman and friday it fell through its uptrend (Green circle) on high selling pressure; 3 signs of reversal. On the weekly chart it finish with a grave stone doji.
The overall pattern its showing is a double bottom which is bullish but the second stage of a double bottom is the pullback or "Free lunch". In this second stage there is usually pull back to the breakout center which in this stock case would be fib 0.618 or 18.31. Then a continuing uptrend to news highs.

Steel Hits Fresh Highs in China. Iron Ore Miners Struggle.I keep reading articles about the massive demand for steel in China and its growing scarcity as iron ore miners and steel manufacturers struggle to keep up so for fun I thought I would plot a whole heap of them together and see which ones were performing the best. Gives us a nice looking chart.
