HPQ dip buy after triangle breakoutHPQ recently broke out of a triangle to the upside. Analyst sentiment is bullish, with HPQ earning an 8.9/10 Equity Starmine Summary Score. Short-dated options positioning on HPQ are extremely bullish-- more bullish than any other security I've recently looked at. The news environment has been relatively positive, with a new suite of remote work product offerings offsetting fears of weak PC demand in the back half of the year. Recent analyst earnings revisions have been in an upward direction. Recent signs of recovery for industrials and manufacturing should bode well for HPQ's 3-D printing business. Plus, HP looks cheap. Admittedly its forward PEG ratio at 8 is a little high, but that's offset by a really low PSG ratio of 0.38 and a 4% dividend yield. In forward P/E and forward P/S terms, HPQ is at the absolute rock bottom of its 3-year valuation range. To get this high a dividend yield on a technology company with consistent earnings and sales growth is really rare. HP ranks fourth in the list of companies with the most 3-D printing patents, so I think it holds a leadership position in a promising emerging technology space. (The industry's growth has honestly been a little disappointing to date, but more patents are being filed every year, and eventually I think we hit a tipping point where the technology becomes cheap enough and viable enough to really blow up.)

HPQ LongVery Simple trade. Huge oi in July and August options. Previous share buyback guidance now slated for 30% of float if confirmed. Dividend paid and HPQ has cash to pay. Ignoring fundamentals as we're traders, HPQ is about to b/o from channel it's traded in since March. $18.15 is the highs from that level & HPQ broke out of recent rally run today. Go long HPQ July & August calls for a PT of above $20. E: 100day is $18 not $19. Old chart forgot to update.

HPQ - HP Stock Technical and Fundamental Analysis Technical Analysis - Hold Before buying - There are some concerns around the Printing Business (Loss of 19%) Prices are moving inside a channel, wait to check if the support will be tested again before buying. Fundamental Analysis There was good news for HP (ticker: HPQ) in PCs, with flat revenues in notebooks year over year. But the printing business was badly hurt by the wholesale shutdown of offices, with revenues down 19%, including a 31% decline in commercial hardware and a 15% drop in printer supplies. The company expects continued weakness in printers and supplies in the July quarter. From a fundamental point of view, there is an emerging concern that HP’s printer business simply won’t recover to pre-Covid levels in an environment when many workers spend less time (or no time) working from offices. With fewer workers in the office, there will be less need for printers and printing supplies.

HPQ (Covered Call)I bought 100 shares of HPQ stock after it broke above resistance trendline and I sold the 16.50 call option to mitigate downside risk . By buying 100 shares at 16.45 and selling 1 june 19th call @ 16.50 strike, I collected a 1.20 premium which protects the trade by 7% (break even price at $15.25). I will reach my max profit if the stock trades sideways or remains above 16.50 where I will profit 125$ or 7.5%. Hit the like button if you want an update in June on how this trade performed.
