GTLB Bullish Trading IdeaDisclaimer, these ideas are for my records of what I see in the market after taking a trade. It will help me document the reason of why I took the trade so I can have a track record. And as such, this is not a financial advice.
Wyckoff was marked on the monthly timeframe.
For me, GTLB is doing wyckoff accumulation and I've marked the zone I'm waiting for the price to reach so I can buy.
Hopefully it delays there 1 or 2 months so I can get more capital to invest.
This is a long term investment for me.

Gitlab ~ An Early Investment Re-LoadedFundamentals:
The Google-Gitlab partnership improved the fundamentals of this company. Earnings and sales are growing. This stock IPOed two years ago. A growing amount of funds are accumulating this stock. Forecasted earnings were lowered for 2025, but still positive. I cannot gauge the EPS growth yet because the stock is still too new. However, A quality funds are still piling in gradually. ROE is at 5%.
The last time I posted about GTLB, it has a negative cashflow. The recent earnings reported a positive cashflow for the first time.
Last year they did a "disaster" guidance; however, 2023 was a success for the company. The According to a commentator on Seeking Alpha, the only reason why it fell was "the lower-than-expected guidance had a negative impact on the share price. However, GitLab has a history of beating estimates. It has done so on EPS and revenue estimates the last 8 times."
"....But, depending on how the stock reacts in the coming days, there may be attractive entry opportunities. If the share price continues to fall, we could be looking at an attractive price for a wonderful company."
So based on the chart and the speculation about the company's strength, I think that this is a pullback worth buying.
Technicals:
Weekly:
The daily gap down (weekly pullback) this week was probably a result of the lowered forecast for 2025. But this pullback is what I was waiting for to possibly add to GTLB.
ADX is trending.

The price fell below the kijun, but there is lots of horizontal support in confluence with multiple fibs.

Waiting for a Green Day
Daily chart could turn into a fake bear crown. The weekly chart would not confirm a daily bear crown.
Comment:
This is a pullback in the start of GTLB's bull market. This pullback presents a buying opportunity. Anything between 40 - 60 is a favorable discount, a bargain. If the trend holds, then I will aim for 100 and 137 as a target by the end of 2024.

GTLB a software company dives on an earnings beat LONGGTLB did a deep dive shaving 20% off its market cap after the earnings report. I see this
big dip as a buying opportunity for a software company stock at a significant discount more or
less ignoring the adverse forward guidance as fluff or purposeful misleading of investors
and traders to create a bit of a bear trap from which to launch a squeeze to propel the price
action. More details on the chart. I will go long here and expect to gain 10-15% with a little
patience. The general market downturn helped GTLB fall and then reversal of the general
market will give tailwind to the return trip. Targets are on the chart based on the high volume
trading range on the volume profile.

Gitlab ~ An Early InvestmentFundamentals :
The Google-Gitlab partnership improved the fundamentals of this company. Earnings and sales are growing. It is not what I classify as a super stock yet. Cashflow is still negative, as it is still early. It IPOed two years ago. A growing amount of funds are accumulating this stock. However, sales are not accelerating yet and there are some data lacking.

"Recognia has detected that GitLab Inc (GTLB on NASDAQ) has entered Wave A of its Elliott Wave cycle. This bearish signal indicates that the price may fall from the previous close of 49.56 to the next Elliott Wave target price of 45.30."

GTLB-BULLISH SCENARIOGitLab is a leading DevSecOps platform that offers companies a comprehensive system for secure software development and deployment. With its emphasis on security testing throughout the development process, GitLab has gained significant traction in the market, outpacing point solutions that address singular issues.
Following its first-quarter earnings report, GitLab experienced a surge in stock value due to beating estimates and raising its guidance. The company reported a remarkable 45% increase in revenue, reaching $126.9 million, surpassing the consensus estimate of $117.8 million. This positive performance suggests that the worst of the tech slowdown may be in the rearview mirror. While GitLab continues to generate losses based on GAAP accounting principles, its non-GAAP margin improved by 17 percentage points to a negative 12%. The adjusted loss per share narrowed from $0.18 to $0.06, surpassing the estimated loss of $0.14.
GitLab is also capitalizing on the power of artificial intelligence (AI) like many other tech companies. In the first quarter alone, it introduced five new AI features, followed by an additional five in May. CEO Sid Sikbrandij believes that AI will revolutionize software development practices.
With an addressable market estimated to be worth around $40 billion, GitLab is well-positioned for strong revenue growth. The company has streamlined its cost base following layoffs earlier in the year, potentially enabling it to report an adjusted profit in the coming year.
The next price target is $55-$60.

Trade GTLB to $39+Gitlab is scheduled to report F1Q24 on Monday, June 5th after the market close. Based on Google searches, there is a healthy debate regarding AI’s impact to the future of code development, the broader DevSecOps opportunity, and how GitLab is positioned to disrupt it.
The company is making steady progress introducing new AI features in the platform along with other product enhancements. The earning conference call is an opportunity for the company to enhance its visibility into the product roadmap and monetization opportunities. Therefore, there is an attractive opportunity for traders who love volatility.
GTLB GitLab Options Ahead of EarningsAnalyzing the options chain of GTLB GitLab prior to the earnings report this week,
I would consider purchasing the 30usd strike price Puts with
an expiration date of 2024-1-19,
for a premium of approximately $5.35.
If these options prove to be profitable prior to the earnings release, I would sell at least half of them.
Looking forward to read your opinion about it.

GitHub has higher availability and is more focused on infrastructure performance, while GitLab is more focused on offering a features-based system with a centralized, integrated platform for web developers.
