$PWR : Loss of energy in the AI energy and power stock Since 2022 when Open AI released its GPT 3.o model AI stocks like NASDAQ:NVDA and the data center solutions providers within the power and electricity space like NYSE:PWR and NYSE:ETN had a great run.
But recent events related to Deepseek have exposed weakness in the AI trade. When the market is fixated on NASDAQ:NVDA and NASDAQ:AVGO as the generational AI trade, the power and industrial names have been consolidating at their 200 Day SMA. These power stocks within the industrial sector are looking for catalysts to break out of the consolidating pattern. Let’s watch out for NASDAQ:NVDA earnings on Feb 26. And the SPDR Sub Sector Industrial ETF AMEX:XLI has also stalled. But we should always remember for this bull market to playout in full swing we need industrials need to outperform the index.
For now NYSE:PWR is in accumulation pattern.

$PWR Analysis Breakdown:
11JAN2023
Relevant News : Quanta just scored a new contract for huge construction and optic fiber placement in Colorado.
Financials : Looking at statement of Cash Flows we see Quanta is using reinvested operating income into company asset's last year to pay current debt and lower debt-equity ratio, still exited with 30+ million in cash flow change. With new contract and reinvested capital providing cushion for incoming recession/bear market, this will probably be the last bull rally for awhile (probably until June or July once Fed pivots hopefully start) until project in Colorado starts and they can start seeing positive amounts in accounts receivable.
Daily Chart - Earlier this week $PWR fell below strong support 141.68 PL (price level), on 05JAN2023 $PWR bounces back from 134.41 PL establishing that PL as new support w/ good volume to confirm level. RSI shows momentum died 14DEC2022 where momentum bottomed out at -1.64 w/ MACD sell off dying out and buyers looking to enter market.

2hr Chart - RSI showing new bullish momentum verified by bullish cross and chart shows buyer/seller fighting started in 06JAN2023 now buyers are pushing forward.
Summary and Consensus :
If tomorrow (12JAN2023) $PWR can confirm a break past 141.68 PL & MACD buyers enter while RSI momentum makes a bullish cross with confirmation on 2hr/4hr chart then $PWR will enter 145 PL zone and hopefully create consolidation to verify new support. With a 1.13 beta rating on Darqube $PWR will flow it's own trend closely and accurately. Current Change = +0.65%
❇️Quanta Services|PWR|swing ↗️ TRADE THE TREND
Hello everyone, 🙋🏾
Here again Romluck with a new trading idea,
The trading ideas I find are after searching and investing time.
Thanks for the like and comment.
What Are the "Swings" in Swing Trading⁉️
Swing trading tries to identify entry and exit points into a stock based on its intra-week or intra-month oscillations, between cycles of optimism and pessimism.
Quanta Services from the sector Industrials provides specialty contracting services worldwide.
The Electric Power Infrastructure Solutions segment engages in the design, procurement, construction, upgrade, repair, and maintenance of electric power
In this case: 📊
🔆The price does rise above the handle, triggering a possible buy near $132.68.
🔅One possible place to put a stop loss is below the handle, marked by the rectangle, near $125.25.
🔆Based on the entry and stop-loss, the estimated risk for the trade is $7.43 per share ($132.68 - $125.25).
🔅If looking for a potential reward that is at least twice the risk, any price above $147.33 ($132.68 + (2 * $7.43) will provide this.

Quanta Services Inc – Reversal is Approaching for 35% Shorting OIf you like this idea, please don’t forget to Boost it.
Fundamental Indicators:
Sector – Industrials
US Business Cycle Stage – late cycle, when this sector is neutral
Revenue – consistent growth for the past 5 years, with 12% average annual rate
Profits – slight drop in 2022 TTM compared to 2021
Net margin – quite low with 3%
P/E – quite high with 45 ratio compared to S&P500 with 21 and Industrials sector with 21
Liabilities - debt ratio is at 0.61 which is within the norm, Net Debt/ EBITDA is 2.87 – no problems with debt
Conclusion – consistently performing but a little overpriced hence likely to go into correction
Technical Analysis (Elliott Waves):
Main scenario of this idea suggests that we are still observing development of the global growth cycle which is currently at the stage of forming corrective wave 4 of higher degree fifth wave (see higher timeframe graph)
From the point of 2020 correction which has been shaped as a Running Triangle this company has enjoyed explosive growth with nearly 500% in stock appreciation
Looking at the lower timeframe it is clearly identifiable that following contracting triangle between April and July 2022 there is a choppy fifth wave which is likely to be an Ending Diagonal (see guidelines for Ending Diagonals below). Wave A of the fifth in this Ending Diagonal is completed and we can expect wave B and C to finalise it
Once it reaches the peak of $148.84, we are likely to see a reversal with mid-term trend towards the level of circa $93 – which may present circa 35% shorting opportunity
This is a higher timeframe to reflect the full history of Quanta Services Inc and to provide full wave count:
This is the link to the guidelines for Ending Diagonals

$PWR ATH gotta buyI followed a whale trade of 554 NOV 160 calls, already up 30% but I think there's plenty more for PWR to run with no overhead supply at all time highs.
Blue skies gotta buy
The whale is in the trade as of today and I can see 150/160 PT especially by NOV with this relative strength and MACD
She might need to take a breather but the recent volume upticks I will add on any pullback
cheers
BREAKOUT .. Infrastructure bill nears .. Quanta Services, Inc. engages in the provision of specialty contracting services, offering infrastructure solutions to the electric power, oil and gas, and communication industries. The firm operates through the Electric Power Infrastructure Services, and Underground Utility and Infrastructure Solutions segment. The Electric Power Infrastructure Services segment provides network solutions to customers in the electric power industry. The Underground Utility and Infrastructure Solutions segment offers comprehensive infrastructure solutions to customers involved in the development, transportation, distribution, storage and processing of natural gas, oil and other products. The company was founded by Kevin D. Miller, Steven P. Colmar, William G. Parkhouse and John R. Colson on August 19, 1997 and is headquartered in Houston, TX.
How To: Trade the Trend with Trailing Stop Losses.Quanta provides infrastructure solutions to the electric power, oil and gas, and communication industries and has been consistently making higher highs since its March lows last year as part of the Covid reset and has been trending beautifully with relatively little volatility.
The whole idea of trend trading is to try and find a trending stock like this one and stay in the trend as long as possible until that dreaded bend in the end where a stock will often sell off.
One of the ways to do this is with a trailing stop loss .
A trailing stop is a great conditional order type as your stop loss will continue to move up and maintain a set distance from the stocks highs as the stock price moves up, but it will never move down if the price moves down. So while the stock is going up, you will stay in the trade, but if there is a significant dip it will automatically exit you out. A good set and forget type strategy that works well if you aren't actively monitoring the market and want to protect your profits.
In this case Quanta is up 200% over the last 12 months, and up over 300% since the March lows. If you had wanted to keep it since the March lows you would have needed a stop loss of around 25%, but you can see that more recently now that some of the market uncertainty has reduced a 13% trail would keep you in the stock.
It's good to see that the stock is also respecting its 20 day moving average and using it largely as support as it trends upwards and these are often an easy way to keep an eye on whether the stock keeps moving up or whether there might be a down turn ahead.
Quanta has just had earnings and still looks pretty strong. Will be interesting to see how long it will run for.
Worth a watch.
A 25% stop loss would have kept you in the trade longer, but has much more downside before it would exit you out of the trade.
