BUY QUBT PUTS NOWWWW!!!!The quantum computing hype is real. Incredible short term gains and incredible mid to long term risk. Companies such as NASDAQ:RGTI and NYSE:IONQ have promising technological/industrial prospects that justify the excitement but NASDAQ:QUBT Quantum Computing Inc. is not one of those companies. They are not a quantum computing company as the name suggests. The same entity has changed their "business model" multiple times with each coming trend to no success. Before quantum computing they were involved with beverage distribution as "Innovative Beverage Group Holding, Inc.", selling printer ink, and they made a brief attempt at AI.
Notes :
- Iceberg Research discovered that the foundry Quantum Computing Inc. listed on their website and cited in a press release was actually just a small office building clearly incapable of producing TFLN wafers (or any sort of mass production for that matter).
"In September 2023, QUBT told investors that the location for its “new facility is on five acres within the extensive 320-acre research park hosted by ASU”. However, the entire entire 2050 building is barely more than an acre, let alone Suite 107 in the building. At that time, production was supposed to start in the first half of 2024."

- QUBT's revenue for 2024 was only $300K. Their market cap is currently $1.5 Billion.
Technical Analysis
While the fundamental analysis was enough to convince me to enter a put position, the TA is also promising. The "pump" caused by recent quantum computing hype is not the only pump and dump in QUBTs recent history. There are two very similar patters that have occurred since Jan 2018.
Interestingly, the 50 SMA crossing above the 200 SMA on the weekly timeframe has signaled the peak of both movements. As for the current movement, the SMAs are expected to cross by next week at the latest.
As you can see in the chart, the cross (and peak) are followed by a drastic rejection and then a retracement to the 38.2 fib level. As of today, price is currently between the 50 and 38.2 retracement levels.
In the short term, it is possible that price will enter the volume gap created on 08 Jan and potentially fill up to $16.25. This break above the 38.2 fib level will be of key interest to anyone seeking entry into a short or put position. As you can see in the 2021 movement, price did indeed break above the level, fell short of retesting highs, and initiated a reversal and 78% drop. Only after this did QUBT retest and reject off of the 38.2 fib level and proceed to drop another 86%.

QUBT trade ideas
"Should I stay or should I go" QUBT falling out Well, it broke out of the triangle, only not in the direction I was hoping for.
Read up on the news about Jensen Huang bashing the quantum industry, also checked some background on QUBT (overvaluation concerns).
I bought in at 17.50 about a week ago, being patient with the pennant.
My thoughts:
- Simply hold for the long run and don't panic,
or
- Sell and get out of it before it goes goes down even further towards annihilation (?)
I must admit it was a bit of a gamble based on sentiment and technical anaysis (still learning!)
(due diligence on the company should have warned me a bit)

Daily Halftime Report: QUBT Long PlayDaily Halftime Update: QUBT looks to be preparing for a Continuation from its most recent breakout on 12/16/2024 where it hit $27.15 before retracting. It's currently trading above our more conservative entry but we went ahead and purchase shares at $17.68 with a Price Target of at least retesting $20.98 with a Stop Loss set at $17.15. Although is still down 37% off it's 52-Week Highs, it's currently 98% higher than it's 52-Week Lows so still has some head room above the currently Price Target that we're looking to achieve with some great performance looking back.

Will Quantum Computing Inc. return a1000x ??That is a 100,000% return. Bold statement. Been studying.. hear me out, I think photonic hardware solutions in the Quantum machine space will be the next big thing. NVIDIA GPUs would become obsolete in the cloud computing space if this small business succeeds.
Scaling up quantum qbits is the bottleneck to establishing a stable working Quantum computer.. The big tech companies are falling over each other in the race to be the first to develop a system using cryogenics to advert interference.

** Technical analysis **
On the above 12 day chart price action has corrected 98% since early 2021. Why bullish?
1) Support and resistance, price action prints on past resistance after the 2018 breakout.
2) Dragonfly DOJI candle.
3) Regular bullish divergence as measured over 60 days.
4) No stock splits.
5) We have a macro symmetrical triangle and bull flag. The bull flag forecasts a 20,000% print on confirmation, which would also be repeated on the symmetrical triangle confirmation extending price action to 1000x from where it is today.
Is it possible price action corrects further? Sure.

$NASDAQ:QUBT bullish pennant formation NASDAQ:QUBT is showing a bullish pennant formation which started after they released earnings (November). The price target if the pattern completes is ~$16.
Entry points:
The more conservative entry is above $8 after confirmation of a breakout (relatively higher volume, etc.)
Note:
Pennants (triangular in shape) can turn into flags (rectangular parallelogram). Both of which are bullish, but the flag can continue downwards making them look like they’re breaking down. All of this to say buying early and setting stops is more tricky. You’ll need to establish a stop based on your own comfort with risk.

The first is to fill a gap in volume established above $5.15 support.
My suggested entry target would be ~$5.45. This is the riskier of the two entry points, as you're buying as the stock is falling. See December 3rd as an example, where it retraced to the Fibonacci .5
The more conservative entry point is after the stock breaks out of consolidation. My criteria for that is that it closes ABOVE the recent highs accompanied by higher volume. I would set an alert closing above $7.90 to evaluate.
